Great location, but knew what to expect as have visited the area before. Helpful staff on arrival. Made use of lounge area as I arrived earlier than check-in time. Room very clean and comfortable. Also close to pool. Loved the pool and used it at least once a day. Good chambermaid service. Despite the very hot weather throughout my stay, loved that the room was quite cool without using AC.

For this standard of hotel, I felt the maintenance of the room was not up to date. The wooden desk/counter was quite chipped, leather top marked and stitching was worn. Also some paint missing/scratches on the wall by the TV and all the television cabling was messy ... should have been tidied up better. Would also have been good to have some electric sockets at desk level. Disappointed that on check in, it wasn't pointed out that any music/noise from the main area of the hotel is very audible in room 222. Fortunately I am not a light sleeper but I know quite a few people who would have found this annoying. I'm not complaining about the noise, but it should be mentioned to guests when checking in.

South Congress Hotel was a great hotel. I was greeted by the concierge and made to feel very welcome. The place was nice - rooms were nicely decorated and the bed was big and comfortable. Good fitness centre, very close to the rooms. Fantastic coffee shop on site which was a big plus. Excellent location, right in the centre of South Congress, within walking distance of shops and restaurants. A short scooter ride or around 20-25 minute walk to downtown for sights and more. Would definitely come back.

Nothing to complain about!

I REALLY liked the location. I meant to stay out of downtown and this is a cool pocket of the city. Very walk able area. The staff was very helpful and the room was decent and well styled for the price. As a rule I hate open showers because you get cold, but somehow I never got cold thankfully! I ate at the Otoko sushi/whiskey bar the first night and had breakfast in the hotel the next morning. Both were good.

I think the only frustrating thing was the hallway AC unit. I was one or two rooms away and it was making an odd humming noise. During the day you would not notice it, but at night you definitely could hear it. I spoke to a couple of the staff, one seemed surprised by it, the other already knew of this continual problem. They can say it's normal, but it was not normal to me. Why, because I've NEVER found that to be the case in a single other hotel. Not sure if it can be fixed, so it needs to be replaced! I put my airpods in the first night, the second night I slept deeper so it was ok. A light sleeper would have to move.

Perfect location. Great set up with excellent cafe bar and restaurant and also speakeasy and coffee shop- possibly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Decor is beautiful- staff are friendly and helpful. It’s super clean too. Bed is very comfortable and really big. Spacious room and well equipped with everything you need.

I liked everything

Awesome hotel in a great location with restaurants and a coffee shop attached to the hotel and also in vicinity of other restaurants and shops. Nice low rise trendy vibe in area and 10-15 minutes walk to downtown. My only gripe is the cost of parking but it's typical for the area.

The location was fantastic, what a cool street and great coffee downstairs too. A bit of a hiccup with check-in, but it was acknowledged and dealt with very professionally.

The beds are very soft - we understand it is a personal preference. But we really wish it was firmer!

Beds are comfortable and spaced out. The bathrooms are great with the best water you can soak and shower with.

The main couches of the tv room in several of the rooms from the large pool ones to the other rooms are not to par, they are uncomfortable and the back part slips.

Every person we came into contact with was friendly, helpful, and professional. Very clean hotel. Loved the large bathroom. The pool itself refreshing and pool service amazing.

The pool area has loose cement blocks. We would have preferred to stay in a quieter room. New matrices are in order.

The location is wonderful and the aesthetic is great. Once we arrived, we didn’t have to drive anywhere. Staff was consistently helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the variety of restaurants on site.

Parking is very high for guests. Mini bar had some expired items and we had a leak in our room ceiling. The filament lighting can leave the room quite dark.

The location was perfect. It’s close to coffee and delicious restaurants. The bartenders were great. Liked that it had a pool even though (sadly) we didn’t use it.

The rooms with balcony were pricy.
