If you've stayed at a Tru anywhere, you know what you're getting when staying here (a pretty standard, barebones, business class hotel experience). This location is a few miles from Texas Tech, but there are a lot of nearby restaurants and easy access to the highways.

I stayed here on two separate nights of a road trip, and it was clear that if any major event is happening at Texas Tech, you will pay extra for a room anywhere in Lubbock. We paid nearly 50% more on one night of our trip for the same type of room between the two one-night stays we had here, but Tru was still a better option than most.

Room was large and clean with comfortable beds. TV was large. Hotel had pool table for free entertainment. Convenient location to stores and restaurants. Parking lot had camera security.

Breakfast was lacking. Pancake maker said out of batter but was clearly not used. Price and charges on receipt did not match at all what Booking.com stated was my full price. Front desk attempted to explain but it made no sense and made me feel I was being over charged. If I prepay and Booking says it is full price paid I should not see a different price on receipt. All other hotels I've stayed at with Booking matched. So, I will avoid this hotel if possible because of that. A sense of accurate charges is important to me.

Great location. Easy access for getting out and in to the parking lot.

Needs more parking, we had to park in the parking lot next door one night. Walls were very thin and you could hear the people in the room next door very easily.

Very clean, affordable and comfy bed/pillows.

We weren’t able to use the pool since we left to visit family after check in, I wish they opened it sooner so we could’ve jumped in before check out so that was a disappointment.

The hotel is beautiful. But I noticed trash by the elevators was falling out. My room was nice but it smelled like dirty mop water or feet. Not sure what the smell was.

Parking is a joke. I even complained about the travel trailers, uhauls, truck with a horse trailer each taking 5-6 spots.

The lady taking care of breakfast did a great job. She was polite, talked with guests and even circulated the dining area ensuring guest satisfaction. She truly cared about guest satisfaction.

No coffee machine in rooms. Not enough parking.

Location, clean and quiet.

Heater in room did not work well. St times it got so loud I would have to turn off then back on. Room book for two one washcloth. Breakfast pancake machine had out of batter at 7:00 am in the morning. I have a feeling they just have machine but rarely have batter.

When I first looked up the property on line it said they had a bar…that was not the case I enjoy a glass of wine before I retire and that was not an option . A coffee pot in the room would also be nice

I was unaware of the parking fee but it very accesible the only thing is I was surprised by the extra charge once explained all good

Breakfast was delicious😋 It was centrally located and access to all the eating places and shopping areas Wish they could have some complimentary toothpaste and toothbrush for customers.
