The hotel was convenient for our activities in Abingdon. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.. One woman whose name we did not get was exceptionally warm and friendly and helpful. On Saturday she was supervising and tending to the breakfast, and she was supervising the room cleaning.. She was very professional. She did not work on Saturday.

The heating and a/c made the air very dry. The coffee in the room left a lot to be desired. The food in the dining area was delicious. Powdered coffee whitener is a sad substitute.

Hotel was convenient to interstate and to our intended venue in Abingdon, Va. Hotel was in great condition from exterior to public areas to room we stayed in. Breakfast was the best "free" breakfast we've had. Staff, from reception to breakfast to janitorial was friendly and caring. Can't recommend this hotel highly enough to fellow travelers in the area.

I honestly don't have any complaints.. Facility was in great shape. Breakfast exceeded expectations. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I love the connivence just off the interstate, there’s a grocery store, a car wash, a gas station and a few restaurants within 2-3 minutes of this location. The staff is always above and beyond! The pool is amazing. The breakfast is so delicious! This time they had bacon as well! Love that.

It’s hard to find a complaint. Sometimes the pricing is more than I’d prefer. Depending on the day of the week. Other than that I’d say I wish they had more bacon more off! But honestly that’s just really drawing straws to find something.

Beautiful new hotel. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and so was the breakfast area. Super nice staff.

The ONLY thing that we didn’t like about the property was that it was a distance from restaurants. Our experience was unique as we were on a motorcycle and didn’t want to ride any place after riding all day. Luckily a grocery store was right across the street so we were able to get food from there. Also being a Silver IHG member, my stay wasn’t credited to my IHG account which I didn’t like.

We were traveling, just needed a room for the night. It cost a little more than we expected but comparable to other places in the area. We didn’t have breakfast ( preferred nearby restaurants) however it looked nice, typical hotel breakfast. Clean and comfortable!

Didn’t really have any dislikes, as clean as if it were new!

$7 parking fee, added since our last visit here. The nightly fee already much higher than similar properties of different chains nearby. This new fee may deter us from staying here in the future even though we are pleased with everything else about it.

Check-in with female clerk…had to use a different card because they ran my card twice and used one of my husbands…3 total charges of $490.00… The bottom line is she gave us the run around and kept making excuses as to why… Booking.com charge was $470.00, $20.00 added at check-in… Rate was jacked up, paid $490.00 for 1 night… And next weekend the same room is only $175.00…

Breakfast Food was good, but I don't like buffet style. Too much risk for illnesses. Room was nice.

Receptionist added a $7.00 parking fee at checkout that was not disclosed prior to booking. She said the ownership of the hotel is adding this fee because of recent damages that have been occurring on the property.

We left my son's expensive IV infusion hemophilia medicine in the room the staff quickly called us stored it in refrigerator like it was suppose to be and we were able to run back and get it. I am extremely thankful for the staff and them calling us and storing medicine properly.

Breakfast was good, but above all else your staff was superior--they were welcoming, friendly, and attentive as were all the staff during our stay. When we come to Barter, we'll definitely stay with you again.

There should be more seating in the bedroom. The lack of furniture makes the room look bare and there is plenty of room for that to happen. When you are traveling in a group you would like to be able to visit, but there were only 2 uncomfortable chairs--no good spots to do any reading.
