April 2025

We had one bedroom suite. It was very spacious. The included breakfast was better than expected, even plates, cups, untensils, etc. were ceramic, class or steel. Breakfast was served at top floor - it was possible to see top of Washington Monument and Capitol over the roof of other buildings. The Courthouse metro station was handy to start daytime exploration of DC area. Further the metro from Dulles airport had a stop at the Courthouse station.

Furniture, doors, etc. were all working, but they showed marks of tiredness. There was a full kitchen, basically there were enough of utensils, but note that all classes (small and big) were for water/soft drink/beer style - no wine classes. House keeping is only once or twice per week. Dishwashing machine powder was available only for one time use (it was possible to get more from the reception)

April 2025

The free, breakfast buffet served each morning between 6 am and 9 am included eggs, bacon, pancakes, and warm oatmeal was a good way to start the day. The living room area was very spacious. The metro lines are a short walk away. It's possible to take the Metro from DCA to this hotel also. People who may stay longer than a couple of days and do not want to eat out each night will find the kitchen a good option.

The walk to the Metro goes up a steep hill which is not friendly to the less mobile traveler. Some of the amenities such as the ice machine and laundry dryers were not in working order. The room decor is a bit dated.

First of all, the room was very big. While it was a bit dated and rather dark at times due to limited ceiling lights, overall the room was comfortable and had everything I needed. It was also very clean. Secondly, the staff were very friendly. I faced issues with getting the lights and bath to work and they immediately sent the maintence staff over to help out. The location of the hotel was also extremely convenient, being only 5-8 mins away from Court House station to get into central DC. Lastly, the breakfast room has an amazing view in the morning which overlooks the Washington Monument in the distance. Highly recommend at least going up there to catch the sunrise even if you plan on eating out for breakfast.

The breakfast spread could have been improved. The buffet typically rotated around 4 main items: Eggs, carbs, meat and pancakes, with a small variety of cereals, bread and drinks. While sufficient, a wider spread would have been nice over the course of a few days. As mentioned earlier, I do think more ceiling lights could be useful, but I do understand that this hotel is quite dated and it might be difficult to really change much about the rooms.

December 2024

I chose this hotel to book for my stay in December this year, because I stayed there before, and liked it, and knew what to expect. Price-wise it was one of the best offers in DC area, and I loved the neighbourhood, so when DC prices are too high I love staying in Arlington and don't mind taking metro to reach downtown. I liked the spacious room, and the kitchen, and the fact that breakfast is included. The beds/linen/pillows are very comfortable. A small detail, but I appreciated the body lotion, not all hotels offer that. Thanks. All the staff were super nice, and both times I had a balcony and a gorgeous view from my room, that I took pictures of at day and night time :) I really love the neighboorhood, and walking to metro (up the hill towards the station, but okay) or around was a pleasant activity. I haven't used the gym, though I could have, and it's also nice that the hotel has it. The hotel has a convenient parking lot, so when my local friends would drop me off they could easily park for a short period to visit my room for a cup of tea, etc. Overall, it was "home away from home", and it was specifically nice coming there for the second time, when you know the facility and are looking forward to returning there. I would definitely come again (if it continues to be affordable :))

I would have appreciated a cleaner window/door to the balcony, but that's a minor flaw. I think my room didn't have a tea pot, only a coffee maker, where you also can boil water, but having a tea pot could be more convenient, since you have a stove anyway. Otherwise kitchen facilities are very convenient.

Great place to stay with easy access to downtown Washington by metro. Hotel is nice. Car parking was 15$ USD a night which was better than most other places I looked at. The free breakfast was great in the morning, there was a nice selection of food and a nice breakfast room on the 8th floor. Personally, I wasn’t sure what to expect after reading some of the reviews but I found the hotel actually very nice, a little dated but nothing major in my opinion. Recommend if you’re looking for an affordable hotel with parking near the city, access to metro station.

Like some of the other reviews, the staff didn’t stand out for me. They were okay but were not very expressive and did not really interact with guests. There must be a reason for that so I’m not blaming them. Perhaps something to do with management…

This was my second week long stay at this hotel in 5 months. The size of the rooms are amazing for a long term stay for a family. You never feel cramped. Having a full kitchenette and dining area makes it feel as if you're staying in a small home away from home. The other thing we liked most and a big reason for booking was the breakfast. No other hotel offers such a variety each day.

What I didn't like was the fact you have to request your room be cleaned such as emptying trash and replenishment of fresh towels. They actually have a sign in the restroom encouraging reuse of towels. I just feel when you're staying 7 days in the same room, some daily attention is needed at least for trash and towels.

The two young ladies at the front desk were amazing for checking even though it was busy at that moment. The free continental breakfast was always a good option and savings. Cheapest parking per night that I have found in the whole area including DC. The rooms are a great size just wish I had an opportunity to take advantage of one of the balcony rooms. The views from the room as well as the breakfast area are breathtaking.

Property needs a little love and care I'm sure it has been around for some time now. But some minor updates what better improve the property and make guess feel even more comfortable. There was no channel guide list to follow off so you have to keep flipping. The rooms just need a touch of tender love and care a USB lamp or a lamp with a charging port for both side tables would be helpful versus charging it across the room.. the hotel also has at least two to three different names so I was just a little confused.

Great hotel. The room is very spacious, like an apartment. There is a kitchen, a stove, some dishes: pots, a frying pan, plates, spoons, forks, a knife, glasses. Huge refrigerator. In the bathroom: shampoo, conditioner, body lotion in large bottles, and soap. Breakfast is good: scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausages (fatty), boiled porridge, waffles, toast, delicious homemade yogurt, apples, oranges. Parking is $15. It's convenient to use the metro - about a 5-10-minute walk uphill to the station.

No 24 hour coffee in the lobby. No shower gel.

September 2024

The room I was in was very large and had a kitchenette and a large bathroom. The bed and bathroom were also very clean. Breakfast is on the 8th floor and you get a view of the Washington Monument and Capitol building, and my request for a late check out was quickly granted.

I spent only one night in the property with a slightly late checkout to get some work done in the room before I left and housekeeping knocked not once, but five different times, including three times before the check out time, which was really strange. The elevators are old and worn and the property is nicely maintained but is a bit older.

Both the room and the bathroom were very spacious & the beds were comfortable. We even had a balcony to sit outside which was very nice. It is basically like a mini apartment. The room had a regular fridge and freezer and seven s dishwasher. For the price, the room is fine and we would come back again. The little issues mentioned in the negative points are not enough to make us not come back. You can easily walk to the Arlington National Cemetery and there are a lot of restaurants and shops around.

The fan-A/C cannot be regulated and so the temperature is what it is set at. The fan in our room was super loud so for someone with a light sleep, it would be a problem. The bathroom walls were not clean but at the same time, the re as t of the room was done so it was not a major issue for us. There is a parking fees of $15 USD per day.
