i liked the atmosphere ,”family , homey” All of the staff were up beat and happy to be there . I also very muck liked the complimentary breakfast and dinner and an option of the grill and bar . My room which the front desk upgraded from double queen to king suite on the 6th floor complimentary because it was my 1st stay . i expect to be making bi weekly trip to the area over the next year for work from Atlanta . Drury Plaza Hotel will be my home away from home

Very spacious , open with luxury finishes through out . i felt right at home hanging out in the lobby catching up on work. and relaxing

Shout-out to the front desk and dining staff, everyone was friendly, attentive, and solutions-oriented. Our room was spotless and peaceful, and the bed made for a great night’s sleep. Breakfast and the evening spread were tasty and well-stocked. The location was also perfect, close to Richmond, but not in the city. Best of all, the pet-friendly policy made our rescue transport easy. Five stars from Lucky Paws Rescue in Sumter, SC—see you next trip!

If we had to nitpick, the shower pressure was a little wimpy—but truly a minor thing. There really isn't anything negative we have to say about this hotel.

We all enjoyed and appreciated the variety of breakfasts prepared as well as many drinks available. The meal area was very large with comfortable seating and plenty of room to move around. We liked the spacious room and comfortable bedding Staff were all nice courteous and professional. This hotel has the largest fitness center with a great variety of equipment that I have seen in a hotel The elevators moved quick and we didn't have to wait longer than a minute to get on one. All visible areas were clean. Impressed the GM actually helped clean dishes off the tables and mingle with guests A lot of luggage carts were appreciated

The fitness equipment could benefit from inspection/maintenance. One of the Elliptical and treadmills are not level and wobbled. I set the chest press from 40lbs to 45lbs. At first it was hard to push up and made loud clunky noises. After a couple reps, a long bang occurred and made it easier to push up. Better enforcement of prohibiting under aged kids from using the fitness center would be nice. A few young boys came in after me. They had little regard for respectful verbiage and ran around a bit. They appeared to be of Jr high/high school age My husband prefers locks on the bathroom door. The bathtub drain plug is too sensitive and closes with showering

Free breakfast, dinner, popcorn, AND drinks! And the beds were so comfortable. The staff was so incredibly friendly! We didn’t want to leave!

The noise coming from adjoining doors can be very loud with the right neighbors. Ours were hollering and we could hear every word as if they were in our room directly. But they gave us a new room without an adjoining room and it was much more quiet!

We enjoyed everything about the hotel. The outside appearance, the cleanliness and the huge parking lot. The inside was well maintained, and an ample amount of sitting for many families to enjoy their meals. The kickback was awesome and breakfast was delicious. Our deluxe king suite was top notch, from the comfort of the bed, to the size of the room. Our first experience at a Drury Hotel was excellent! We would definitely come back!

The only issue was the jacuzzi had little kids jumping in and out. A sign should be posted stating no kids under 16. This would make adults feel more comfortable and stay in longer.

Requested accommodations were originally not met with the first clerk that checked us in, and said that there was nothing she could for us. Then after going to our room, which was 2 floors above the rest of our family, I decided to complain to the manager. She was not available because she was busy helping housecleaning. A wonderful clerk named Allison asked what my problem and asked if maybe she could help. I told her the issue and within seconds she was able to move us to another room a few down from the rest of our family on the same floor. Allison was willing to go the extra mile whereas the 1st clerk was not!

The fact that the 1st clerk did nothing to help with our requested accommodations.

The hotel staff is friendly, nice and very helpful. The breakfast and kick back are great. Plus I love popcorn 😂 (They have a popcorn machine next to the front desk.) Oh! And shout out to Allison! When my girlfriend and I first checked in, and went to our room, the first thing we noticed was that it smelled like smoke. To be honest the room was so good we didn't even care 😂; however that smoking fee was 250 for the cleaning and I did not want to pay that. So we went down stairs just to inform the front desk (you know, to make a note so we're not blamed for it). Allison gave us the first night free, for the inconvenience. She was extremely nice and helpful throughout our stay here! We will definitely come back!

The location of the sleeping area kept the room a little quieter as it was away from the hallway.

There was a large group on a bus tour and a large group attending a conference in the hotel and all were at breakfast at the same time. The staff working breakfast were working hard but were very overwhelmed by the crowd. Things were running out and the place was a mess. Also people eating breakfast didn’t seem to realize they were to clean off their own plates at the stations around for that so finding a table to eat at was also a bit of a challenge.

I loved that the manager was walking around the pool area checking on the safety of the guests! 2 years ago we had a very traumatic experience that I saved a toddler from drowning where the father was intoxicated and not watching his son. It was quickly addressed by the previous manager but left me rightfully nervous about this trip. I truly felt better when I saw that this manager was vigilant and friendly to everyone in the area! Also, Nate Jackson is a great bartender! He was fun and chatty, but made sure everyone was taken care of! The food was tasty, prompt and made correctly! The 2 rooms we had were great! It really made a great trip for my twin daughters birthday excursion!

The only issue is that I couldn't stay longer! Lol . Honestly this is the best hotel i have ever stayed in

The staff were welcoming and obliging. The location was perfect. Parking was good, however, not enough handicapped parking up near the entrance. Plenty of baggage carts. Great breakfast each morning was awesome. Awesome happy hour with 3 free drinks per person each night. Checkout was perfect.

A bit of water in the area of the elevator due to the pool. Not safe for older people to walk around. Slow housekeeping staff and lack of understanding towels needs for the room with more than 2 people.
