The building is an ornate old style building. Lobby / reception was great. It is dated, but this is part of the charm with these hotels. It was lovely and comfortable with nearby free parking. If you want a "state of the art" building with all modern amenities then you don't book into The Grand in any town as these tend to be of a certain age. The staff were helpful and chatty and facilities to get a bite to eat, were just down the road. A short walk, lovely on a nice day.

Shower took a bit of fighting to get to work. OK for me but if you were a little older and not as brutal, then it may of been difficult to get switched onto the shower head. Didn't bother me , but a little bit of maintenance would be of benefit.

The location was convenient for me in all directions for the objectives that I had. There are good restaurants that were easy to reach by car or by walking since it was downtown.

In house restaurant was not open due to competition from other restaurants within walking distance of hotel. It was not a problem for me but could be a problem if weather conditions made transit difficult to an outside restaurants.

The location is excellent! I love the grand entrance. So clean and comfortable and the staff are so friendly. I would highly recommend this place.

The bathroom sink faucet was completely loose and you had to turn the shower on way in advance before hot water came, took every bit of almost 10 mins. I guess coming to the 8th floor takes awhile but what a waste of water.

Location Parking Comfortable accommodations

When we arrived on Friday night, my room door was broken and we couldn’t get in. My son went to the desk to report that our keys didn’t work. The desk clerk came to the door, tried the key once and proceeded to thrust his body against the door (really hard) until it opened. He said he would report the door to maintenance. On Saturday, my son would have to forcefully kick the door repeatedly in order for us to enter the room each time we returned to our room. Again, I reported the door to the desk clerk upon checking out on Sunday. When I told her about the incident on Friday night, she said that the first guy had not made the report to maintenance. The door situation really put a damper on our stay at your hotel.

Currently working on billing dispute . Was double billed. Paid booking.com first. Got my credit card bill and saw the hotel billed me second time. Will be resolved as there is a paper trail, but I hate the hassle. Inquired via booking .com to hotel, month ago, but no one got back with me . If I stay again will pay with cash stead credit card and not use booking.com to avoid this crap.

It has a lot of character, comfortable, clean rooms and a great location. Final price, including taxes, came in under 100$. Pets are welcome.

Property seems to be a work in progress, with some areas needing some TLC. The computer system was down at Check-in, causing minor delays

Loved the location

I know they are getting to remodel and partnership but with having a bar and such still out of commission. It would be nice if they had break and such. In my experience be able to get up and have fresh breakfast and such really makes they stay more relaxing and enjoyable.

Convenient location to get in and out of the city. A little outdated, but really nice! Very clean and the room was great. Super comfy bed! Free garage parking. Hotel was very quiet. Our room was right next to the elevator and we didn’t hear any hallway or elevator noise.

Shower curtain rod was loose, which caused the shower curtain to not close completely. This resulted in water all over the bathroom floor while showering. Also, the towel bar was coming loose from the wall.

I thought that overall the property was pretty, but dated.

I enjoyed it overall, but it was a few little things that prevented me from rating this property as excellent. The deadbolt did not work, one of the key cards didn’t work and there was a power strip that the fridge, microwave, coffee maker and tv were plugged into (not sure how safe that is).
