The price was great, the staff was awesome for the most part

We didn't have hot water at all. The front desk told us to run the water for about 10 mins. we ran the water for 30 mins, and it was still ice cold

water pressure was decent. Air conditioner worked. Didn't see a bug inside the room. Room was quiet.

I don't like writing bad reviews but I have to be honest. My flight was delayed so I ended up checking in after midnight. The website says 24-hour reception (and when I rang the bell a very sleepy man who looked like he just crawled out of bed came to the window) but there is a sign on the reception window that says "No check-in after midnight". We stood outside with lots of creepy bugs flying and crawling on the outside desk and window. Very much scared the crap out of me. He gave us the key and warned us to jiggle the door handle because it doesn't open easily. He was very correct, It took several minutes of each of us trying before we finally got the door open. When we entered the room none of the lights worked so I had to go back to the buggy reception to have the sleepy man come and get the lights on. Apparently, the lamps are finicky too. The room faintly smelled of smoke and was not what I would call clean. It was VERY run down with the paint chipping on every surface. The bathroom was the worst. I don't know why this is listed as the OYO Hotel when it is the Bluejay MOTEL. The sign says Bluejay and even the wifi is named Bluejay. There was no wifi information in the room so I had to wait till the next day before I could go to reception to ask about the wifi. When I went to reception I could hear a woman in a back room talking and even with me yelling "hello" no one came to the reception. I saw the wifi password posted on the wall so I just took a photo and tried to leave but there was an automatic lock or something because I couldn't get out. Luckily, some younger guy used a code on the outside and came in. He was surprised to see me and asked if I needed anything. I told him I needed the wifi but info but found it on the wall and I high-tailed it out! We saw the guy who checked us in several times over the 2 days and he never once smiled or was welcoming in any way.

Place was beat up. Hole punched thru door with no fixing. Cracked tiles everywhere in bathroom. Old and worn outside. Would not reccomend

The room had a bad smell to it

The mattress was very comfortable. Close to the highway and gas/convenience store.

The room smelled musty, despite the car “tree” air freshener stuck in the air conditioner and one hanging from the desk! The bathroom was a disaster-broken tiles, missing caulk, damaged door, mismatched toilet seat. The pool was full of construction debris. The window clerk had the personality of a piece of plywood. The motel looks like a pay by the hour “no tell” motel.

If we stayed we would have liked the convenient location.

Upon entering room 115, we discovered mold in our assigned room, which posed a significant health concern. The presence of mold made us feel unsafe and uncomfortable, as it could exacerbate respiratory issues and other health problems. Additionally, the ceiling was significantly cracked (see attached pictures), one of the electrical outlets was protruding from the wall, there were holes in the walls, a large presence of bugs around the property, and the property seemed like it had not been properly maintained in a decade. After assessing the situation, we determined that it was not safe to remain in the room and had no choice but to leave the property immediately. Given these circumstances, I am requesting a full refund for the cost of the reservation, as the accommodations were uninhabitable and did not meet basic standards of safety and cleanliness. I have attached photos of the mold and the general state of the room. Judging from the state of the “hotel” (which is actually a motel) and the misrepresentation on the booking.com website, we believe this property is deceitfully advertising on your website. Furthermore, we advise that you investigate the state of the property yourself, as it looks nothing like the pictures. We would not stay at the property even if it were free.
