Location. Staff was amazing and very friendly. Only a few steps away from everything you wanted to do in colonial Williamsburg

Pillows hard. I was actually hoping for a buffet breakfast at the price.. please advise your guest that room 5251 is haunted. We were not informed of the killer clowns that occupied the presence and that there was a history of mass murder after two or three families had died there please do not put anyone in room 5251.

The front desk staff went out of their way to meet our every need and to ensure a fantastic stay. The AC was very strong, the room was exceptionally clean, and the air freshener in the lobby and hallways is so light and wonderful. The location cannot be beat.

Everyone must keep in mind that this is a value property and that Williamsburg is not the same as it was in its prime, many years ago. This is an old hotel, but it is cute and charming and CLEAN. If you are staying in the King suite, you must bring a fan so that the strong AC in the bedroom can circulate and keep those sleeping on the pull-out couch, cool. The breakfast is very basic, just boxed and packaged stuff. But we love this cute value hotel and have stayed here many times with our kids.

Bathrooms are extremely clean, tons of stuff to do around, the pool and sprinkle pirate for kids is a plus. Walking distance to Williamsburg and 10 minutes away from Jamestown (a must-see visit), if you have kids, they will enjoy Jamestown better than williamsburg.

1. Poor breakfast. I know it says continental, but all breads were frozen and only 2 toasters for tons of people. 2. Pool towels were not replaced (we went there around 2pm, and they were gone). There is no lifeguard at the pool no matter what time you go. 3. Beds are not queen size, only full-size, so if you are planning a visit (we are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids - 9-year-olds twins). Make sure you plan accordingly. When we booked the room, it did not state the size of it. (Not a big deal for us as we managed just fine, but be aware of it).

Great location! Quiet area with big Virginia Pines! Off the hustle and bustle of I-64. A very short ride ( free shuttle) to Colonial Williamsburg. Our suite was large, with three sections, comfortably furnished. Big bathroom, great shower and towels. Front room had a very nice leather pull out couch, TV, desk. Our bedroom was a king and was very comfortable with great pillows. Plenty of closet space. Separate sink, micro and fridge in the middle. A large pool, an 18 hole mini golf, table tennis, beautiful walks to in the Williamsburg woods. Great staff!!! Polite, personalized and professionals in all departments!

We had a very quiet room, down at the end of the property. Our WiFi was almost non existent in the back bedroom, and same in the bathroom. The front room did have good reception. Our air conditioner ( there’s only one in the back bedroom ) did work but tended to be a bit rackety throughout the nights.

The location of the hotel is great. It's practically connected to the visitors center, so it is convenient to the walking trail to Colonial Williamsburg. As the name suggests, it's in a wooded area that was lovely and gave the feeling of being in a remote location, even though we were close to everything. The hotel is clean and there is free breakfast with cold selections. There was plenty of parking on site and the lobby and breakfast area give the feeling of some of the National Park lodges.

The rooms feel a little tired. This has nothing to do with the Colonial decor but is that things are a bit worn, and the bedding could use an upgrade to be on par with what is standard in most hotels these days. The room AC was also a bit noisy with a rattle, but we were thankful for it, since the hallway outside our room was very warm. Not sure what was going on and if this was an isolated issue or if that is the case normally.

Perfect location for Colonial Williamsburg. It is right next to the visitor center where you can get a shuttle or take a 10 min walk on a marked path to CW. Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable bed. A little firm for my taste, but still comfy. Beautiful property with alot to do (pool, mini golf, etc).

Breakfast was very poor. Minimal selection with no hot options. Parking is a bit of a hassle because the property is so big. Shower pressure was terrible.

There was also a continental breakfast that was included which was decent. Location is great (right behind the Colonial Williamsburg visitor center).

The first room we were placed in need some rehab, the curtain backs were falling apart from sun damage and the TV didn't work. We called the main desk and they said they would send maintenance immediately but an hour and a half later I had to call the front desk again, they were told the issue was resolved which it was not. The apologized and immediately sent someone, the TV needed to be replaced so they moved us to another room, they offered an upgrade for the inconvenience.

The hotel is adjacent to the Colonial Williamsburg welcome center where you purchase tickets to visit the historic sites. By staying at the hotel you will receive discount pricing on admission. There is a shuttle that is a short ride to the various sites. Simply put, this is the hotel that you want to stay at when visiting Colonial Williamsburg. There several events that happen throughout the day and evening at Colonial Williamsburg so being able to quickly return to the hotel to get warmer clothes or drop off gifts is very convenient. Be sure to check out the activities at the hotel.

The hotel was just lovely and the location couldn’t have been better. There was a visitor center right on site with discounted tickets to all the sites and a great museum shop. The room was very large and comfortable and very clean. The food at breakfast had a nice selection, and we were able to bring our pup with us and sit in the lobby area to eat each morning. It was a great experience.

When we first arrived, the grounds were a bit confusing because of the layout of the buildings. It’s took us a bit to find our room as the buildings were not well marked. But once we did, it was then really easy to get around.

Woodlands is slighly more expensive compared to other hotels on our two-month Road Trip. But we wanted something more comfortable after friends had unknowingly exposed us to COVID a few days before. If infected, we wanted to quarantine in more comfortable surroundings. Turns out we are extremely happy with Woodlands. Best breakfast, Big comfy room, great WiFi, friendly staff, central location, etc. Plus you are just a few steps away from Colonial Williamsburg.
