The staff were all great, and welcoming. It is a newish building that is both regular apartments and short-term stay. The fact that the building management team was right there, and responsive, was the best hybrid of a BnB and hotel room. The gym was excellent. The neighborhood has lots of shops and restaurants, and the metro is a block away. The Nationals Park is directly down the street.

Room cleaning is only once per week, but they were good about giving extra towels, paper towels, trash bags, etc. Would have been nice to have our own broom and dust pan.

Location. Nice area close to the metro that offers restaurants and stores but not crazy crowded. Staff is excellent.

Lack of parking near the property when one feels $65 dollars for one night of parking in the Coda garage is ridiculous. Also, the bathrooms only provided bath towels. We had to request, and pick up at the desk ourselves, wash clothes and hand towels for two bathrooms and four adults. This, too, is ridiculous. Air Conditioning thermostat was on the fritz. The auto function regulating the temperature did not work. It just kept cooling. To stop this, we had to turn the system off. Not a good option for overnight.

My stay at Coda was very pleasant overall. Check-in was fast and easy, and the room was spacious, clean, and had a nice apartment-like touch with all the essentials you’d need, perfect for a getaway.

Unfortunately, there were a couple of issues during my stay. The TV wasn’t working, but the staff immediately assisted. Although it couldn’t be fixed that evening, they arranged for a technician the following day. The bigger issue was waking up to find my driver-side window shattered. I had parked directly in front of the hotel, and unfortunately, my car was broken into, along with others. Several items were taken, and the repair cost me more than my entire stay. That said, the staff went above and beyond to help. Mickey, at the front desk, was incredibly sweet, efficient, and helpful. He moved us to a better room at no extra charge and a night in the garage, which was a kind gesture during a stressful time.

The host who greeted us was such a joy. He made us feel at home almost immediately. i like the LATCH app which allows my family members to each have their own access to the unit. The 2-bedroom apartment is huge and elegantly layout. Everything we need is there. And the uber delivery for groceries and food is also convenient and fast.

The hairdryer shorted the circuit and we had to do without light in one room and which left us with no wifi. The washing machine makes some funny noise while in operation. The door to the balcony cannot be locked.

Great location close to the metro but also within walking distance of the main attractions (if you are up to a walk, which we are. If not, it’s really easy to Uber around.) We found a handy Safeway nearby which was useful. We loved the penthouse and free barbecues! We also used the gym, which was surprisingly well equipped. Our apartment itself was a good size and we liked the way the two bedrooms were separated a bit. The washing machine and dishwasher were useful and we loved the automatic ice maker in the freezer! Lastly the staff were all super friendly and helpful. Thank you!

We didn’t know that the Bull Pen would be blasting out music nearly every night of our stay! Luckily it finished at 10pm sharp but we hadn’t been warned about that. There was enough cutlery and crockery for us - but only just! No side plates and a strange selection of pots and pans. A clothes rack would have been useful to dry clothes that couldn’t go in the drier.

Good location - 2 minutes walk to metro station and about 8 minutes walk to a well-stocked supermarket. We had a 1 bed apartment with "den" (but actually had a double bed) which had two bathrooms and kitchen with all amentiites of home including washer / dryer. Rooms and bathrooms all of good size. Comfortable furniture and bed. Plenty of cupboard / hanging space. Access to communal areas and roof terrace on 12th floor (the building includes long-term renters) Staff at reception were friendly and helpful.

Having to leave ! We would have been happy to stay longer !

Afraid we knew nothing about a breakfast? The location was great - great restaurants, etc.,nearby especially The Silver Diner as well as the metro stop.

Thought a little pricey but most of all to have to pay $100 for our 16-lb, very well-behaved dog. I believe a refundable deposit would be much more appropriate and what we’re used to. Didn’t date use parking at $50/nt but utilized the free street parking

Property is well maintained , rooms are super clean and no odd hotel smell. The decor and style is modern with greens, gives a clean and luxury feel to it. There is a room with a vending machine , a cafe area of a sort/study area on the 2nd floor along with gym and a fountain to refill any water bottles you have. I did not get a chance to go to the rooftop. I will definitely be back ! There are also lots of restaurants/bars on the same street further down. Overall a great stay, 10/10 would recommend

I loved the style of the rooms. everyone that worked there was really nice and I loved using the latch app to get in and out of the building and my room. it felt extremely secure.

I wish that the shades on the windows were a little more blacked out. it was difficult to stay asleep past 7 am due to all the light streaming in.

Coda on Half Placemakr was a Lifesaver in Hospitality: Why You Should Choose Coda on Half Placemakr. My sisters and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Coda on Half Placemakr and it's safe to say it completely turned my trip around. After a disappointing start at another property, Coda on Half Placemakr was a breath of fresh air. From the moment I checked in, I knew I was in for a fantastic experience. First and foremost, the property itself is impressive. It exudes an upscale condo vibe with its modern amenities and immaculate cleanliness. Everything felt fresh and up-to-date, adding a touch of luxury to my stay. However, what truly sets this hotel apart is its exceptional staff. From the front desk to the night audit, everyone went above and beyond to ensure my siblings and I had a memorable stay. Even in the wee hours of the morning when I needed assistance, the night audit was incredibly helpful and understanding, which made all the difference in salvaging our mini vacation. In summary, if you're looking for apartment living, vacation rentals, or a hotel stay, that combines comfort, convenience, and outstanding service, look no further than Coda on Half Placemakr. It's not just a place to stay; it's a lifesaver for travelers in need of a memorable experience. If I could, I'd give them 10 stars without hesitation. This hotel truly saved the day and made our trip one to remember.

I enjoyed my stay!
