Great location and staff, easily walkable to all major attractions

Wish I had known a train track was less than 20 feet from the backside of the hotel. Not horrible for us, but for a light sleeper it may be unacceptable

1. Location is really great…there are 2 metro stations that are near it. Museums are close. Starbucks same building. Mcdonalds & two other food stores are just walks away. 2. Room is big and so the bed is king size. Typical design but still ideal.

1. Service crew in the breakfast resturant (old lady) should be more pleasing in attending to us Asians. She doesnt smile and the manner she answers to us wasnt couteous. Well maybe she was already tired? 2. No kettle inside the room but I think it was somewhere, i just didnt ask. 3. Option of airport shuttle. We asked and was told there was none.

Convenient to metro and also walking to area attractions.

Staff was not very helpful to someone that is new to hotel and area. They act like you should know everything about the hotel and area. Not professional. Need retraining on how to treat visitors. The air conditioner in room 925 was extremely loud. Could not hear tv unless you turned up the volume. Hard to sleep when it came on. I had to wear ear plugs to sleep and watch tv. Very loud AC. The rest of the room was perfect. Shower was hot and loved the shower pressure. Soaps and lotions in room were a plus for sure. Very clean room. Bed was very comfortable. Had a great view of train from room.

Location, great restaurant on site, stop n go snacks and sundries shop. Size of our room was great. Parking available made it convenient. Friendly and helpful staff.

Valet parking would be a lot more convenient after a long drive, and is usually available at a hotel of this quality. The bed was mildly uncomfortable..but the PILLOWS!! TERRIBLE!! I never experienced a worst stiff neck due to the quality of these pillows. After coming here on the heels of another resort with great beds and pillows..it was a huge let down. I have such a stiff neck it was hard to drive home (5 hours) without being able to turn my head to the right. The pillows are just useless and need to be addressed. I've stayed at many Holiday Inns and never experienced such a bad night sleep. I also found the lack of TV channels frustrating..but maybe I just didn't know how to use the remote. I would start watching a show..after 25 minutes it would stop on USA..or HGTV etc.

Location!!! It was absolutely PERFECT! There’s a McDonald’s on the corner, two grab and go restaurants and a street full of food trucks one street over. It was walking distance to everything! It cost more than places across the river, but staying so close saved us the metro fare. We easily walked as far as Lincoln Memorial, White House and China Town on the first day. Second day was the Bible Museum and down to the Wharf. Third and final day, Holocaust Museum, Natural Science, Capital and Library of Congress. This hotel is situated in a manner that made it easy to stop for lunch mid-day. It was perfect!

The charges do not match between with Booking said I should pay and what was charged to my card by $43. I’ve requested an invoice, but have not received one.

Location is superb. The metro Subway is a block away. Hotel services & staff top notch. Even guests were amenable. Close to restaurants, Smithsonian museums, government buildings, famous landmarks, & the Tidal Basin where the cherry blossoms are abundant. Starbucks is located in the hotel. Two restaurants & a small store are very conveniently in the lobby area. AN EXCELLENT PlACE TO STAY!

Two lamps didn’t work. We did not call for service because there was still plenty of light without them. I will inform housekeeping when we leave today so the next guests will be all set.

Location was excellent. I didn’t use the breakfast facilities. I particularly like the bathroom/shower as the bath had multiple grab rails & a non slip base. I am by no means infirm or old but people of all ages appreciate safe shower facilities. The bathroom was always cleaned to perfection.

I think every hotel should include a folder in the room outlining how to use things like the TV or shower or air conditioning, or nearby attractions. I found the shower took me a while to work out how to turn it on. The TV was simple and worked first time, air con I didn’t use much. You would be surprised how many hotels I stay at where the simplest things like turning on the TV turns into a nightmare of multiple tuning boxes and remotes.

The location is amazing. We walked to all of the local attractions other than the zoo (ubered there) the rooms were wonderful and clean, the pool was beautiful.

The resturants were the only downside. The dinner one wasn't bad but I felt like they were trying to be much fancier then they were and really should have been. There were not many close diner options (espcially on the weekend) so we just wanted something basic, quick, fair priced and tasty. It was expensive, slow, intricate but rather bland. Breakfast i would say was bad. The food was not cooked well, it was all very greasy, small selection (which was surprising for how big the area was) and just didn't taste good. We ended up eating at mcdonalds down the block most mornings for breakfast

We loved the location! It was close enough to walk to everything at the National Mall, monuments and museums. We checked in after a day of walking DC in the 90+ degree heat, and it was such a smooth process to check in and get our room. The room was clean and comfortable, and the ability to control our AC was amazing after such a long, hot day. The hotel has a lot of features, including an on-site Starbucks, 2 restaurants and a game are! They also have a rooftop pool and bar, but we unfortunately didn't make it up there before they closed. I will definitely be staying here again when I visit DC in the future!

The only thing that could have been better was the service at the hotel's lunch and dinner restaurant, 21st Amendment Bar & Grill. The restaurant was definitely understaffed, and we were a very understanding group (3 of us, 2 are former servers). However, the service was extremely slow, some of our food came out cold, drinks were not made right, and when I paid in cash, I didn't receive any change. After speaking with the manager though, he completely refunded our meal and asked if we would like any breakfast coupons and genuinely did what he could to make the situation right. I think that with more (better trained) staff, the restaurant would be excellent!

My first encounter was with with Kenny, who was just delightful; he made me feel welcomed right away. There was one woman on staff every morning, I'm sorry but can't recall her name, but she was one of the housekeeping staff on the 9th floor, she would greet me with a beautiful smile and wish me a wonderful day. She was the sweetest lady! The room was clean and stocked well with plenty of towels. Both restaurants on the lobby level were also good. I would stay again if in DC.

My mattress could have been a little firmer...
