The location. The interior design. The restaurant at the Art & Soul hotel serves delicious food. The waitstaff in the restaurant is excellent.

There was no coffee on the floors, as before. There was no buffet breakfast available on Saturday and Sunday. There were no ice cube trays in the rooms or at the ice cube dispenser. The water in the ice cube and water dispenser tasted of chlorine. The taste of chlorine was clearly noticeable in the water served in the restaurant. A water filter should be standard equipment in a four-star hotel.

Great location for main sights of DC and close by to Union Station and Metro. Really friendly staff and excellent breakfast buffet or Brunch menu at weekends.

Clean, some of the staff was really nice. I love staying there because of how nice the facilities are!!! I wish they had free early check in or late check out if they have the rooms. I've never seen a hotel that charges for those. The rooms are always very nice and some of my favorite beds (I travel a lot). The beds are comfy and the housekeeping service is great. Love the little touches around the room. Great location by Capitol and Union station.

Some of the staff was kinda rude. There was a female front desk agent who was bossing another agent around. I think he was in training and she was talking to him like a child. I wish she was kinder when showing the person how to do things - we need more of that in today's world.

The bed was really cool, so were the lights in the room. Def had a great modern feel, cozy vibe. The bed was sooooo comfortable to me.

Felt a bit over priced. I mean I understand that those beds and light upgrades are expensive but I mean …. Really that expensive? The stuff is probably paid off by now lol. Other than the fancy cosmetic upgrades it offered everything a regular room would

Room was great. Environment of hotel was welcoming. Gym was also good (although no windows) - at the top floor it would have been wonderful to have those. Pool was closed as it was November.

The craziest bit I have seen on breakfast business. I stayed for six nights. Turns out, that for breakfast, one can have only one plate, i.e., farmer's breakfast. I had to bargain every morning whether I could have another plate - even cheaper, despite the fact that I had purchased the "breakfast package" which only included the farmer's breakfast. This bit I didn't know when I booked the breakfast part, as I assumed that like in most hotels, there would be a breakfast buffet. Someone needs to fix this.

I was unable to receive a receipt of my stay even with the intervention of booking.com because the property claimed that they cannot issue a receipt because I booked via booking.com. I have never heard that explanation and upon contacting booking.com, they also agreed that this is not true. Neither booking nor I could convince the hotel otherwise and this was particularly frustrating because I was on a business trip and needed the receipt to get reimbursed. I have the impression that the staff is not very well trained.

Great location just along the road from the Capitol building. Amazing comfy beds. Pool deck 9n top floor looked good although it was noisy/party vibe so we didn’t go. Great bakery nearby, use them for breakfast. Google the corner bakery. They did fruit, pastries, American breakfast etc.

Check in was chaotic and we weren’t the only people whose keys didn’t work first time. Housekeeping was random, sometimes they made beds, sometimes they didn’t. Sometimes they left the right number of towels for people in room, often they didn’t. They never refilled toilet paper and we had to go to reception to get some as we were running out. Not many restaurants in the area.

The hotel was always clean and the staff were really friendly. The beds were very comfortable and the location of the hotel was perfect for exploring.

There is no longer coffee facilities in the hotel, all machines had been removed and we weren’t advised of this, there were no alternative options i.e. kettle in the room the only option was to wait u til the restaurant opened at half 7 to purchase coffee.

Very modern with the design of the rooms. Nice bar and good food. Great location close to the main station and only a few minutes walk to the main city where the restaurants are. Main attractions are only a few km’s walk away.

One of the staff came across quite rude with her ‘early check in fee’ talk when I arrived, even though I was only looking to drop my bag off. I mean if the room is ready, why have an early check in fee?! Breakfast is very expensive if you don’t eat a lot. In the night there was a sound coming from outside like a concert was on in own… even though outside I could hear nothing… but the room walls are quite thin as you can hear your neighbours opening and closing their drapes.

The staff were really friendly and accommodating. They recommended great restaurants and attractions to visit. The pool is AMAZING. Wasn’t too crowded. There was even a pool party that guest were free to attend and it was an unexpected fun time. Definitely would stay again and even try different YOTEL locations.

The 3rd party parking was NOT good. If you use the garage one night you still have to pay for every night you stay whether you utilize the garage or not. I had a rental that I parked one night and still was charged for the nights that I stayed and did not use the garage. The attendant of the garage was rude and did not specify that this was policy because if I would have known I would have NEVER used to garage to begin with. So to find out during the check out process was extremely disappointing. The attendant at the hotel was super sweet about it, but I still had to pay the fee.
