I liked my clean room and bathroom. The location is good for a walk to Union Station and attractions like US Capitol and Washington Monument. Paid parking is available in the hotel (although a bit pricy), but it took away my car parking worries. I did not try any but could see a lot of eateries around. Good place to stay.

Overall, I liked everything. Just wanted to add a comment that if some vegetarian savory items like potato taters, hash browns, or simply fries can be added to the breakfast menu for the vegetarian people. I have stayed at Fairfield in multiple cities, another recent one being in New York and that was the only thing that I felt was missing. I believe it is something across all locations.

Staff was great! Cleanliness of room was ok, Full breakfast was a plus and location was great! I would stay again.

There was dust around table area indicating staff did not clean. When we arrived there appeared to be lipstick on sheet. This was not discovered until next morning. My grand-daughter and I had no make-up on when we arrived so we knew this was not ours. Once reported to staff, someone came and changed sheets. I did have an itch first night of sleeping in bed. I hope cleaning crew does not take short cuts in cleaning rooms. This is definitely unsanitary. Hotel and Valet was a little costly. Perhaps this was due to location?

The hotel was very modern and clean. The staff was incredible - very friendly and helpful, especially the front desk and valet team. The location to Capital One area could not be better - a very short walk. The town was very busy and restaurants were packed, so we were able to Door Dash food and eat in the lobby. Breakfast was very good and had plenty of options.

It was difficult to find a place to park to check in and take advantage of the valet parking, we even had a copy tell us to move while we were waiting. Once I was checked in, though, the valet team quickly moved us and got the car parked.

Lots of things were great. Staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. Lovely folks. The location is close to the National Gallery of Art, Capital One, etc. Bathroom was clean, toiletries fine. Nicely decorated tree downstairs for holidays. Coffee and tea bar nice. Good-sized elevators. There is a restaurant attached, sort of. Would certainly return (not my first stay).

Certain things a little tired. Noisy heating/AC unit is distracting and irritating. Inability to access stairs from lobby with room key (claustrophobic so usually walk up stairs). No room service despite restaurant ostensibly onsite. Breakfast is just okay (eggs, potatoes rubbery) so loss of room service not great. No mini fridge also means can’t bring in leftovers. Replacement of down pillows never arrived (had requested when made reservations and was told fine). Again, would return but tweaks would help.

I chose this location because I had stayed there 12 years ago and knew the location was within walking distance of the National Gallery, the Smithsonian Portrait Gallery/American Art Museum, and the METRO. I also liked being within walking distance of great restaurant choices on 7th St. Breakfast options were excellent (crustless quiches, bacon, sausage, 3 kinds of fresh fruits, great coffee, etc). Liked the hooks in room to hang coats, as well as the closet and the safe. The bathroom porcelain no-slip flooring is very nice.

The pricing was really high. I realize prices fluctuate depending on day of the week, time of the year, etc. But the cost of the room for two nights was not worth the room. The room was fine, although the furniture (with drawers and old-fashioned nightstands) is not practical. The Holiday Inn Express has figured out that most short-term stays require a reinforced ledge for two large suitcases (not drawers). Vanity in bath and toilet could be a little higher for usage.

The location was perfect for what I needed to be able to get to regularly. Overall, the facilities is in good shape, clean, and well taken care of. I did the king size bed, and it was extremely comfortable! The staff is extremely friendly, professional, and helpful. A big shout out to DeAnn (I hope that I am spelling that correctly ) front desk. She was always a pleasure to talk to, and I needed to get something for my room and she actually suggested it and took care of it for me!

A bit pricey, compared to most in the area, there was a weeklong event in the area, so I’m sure that had something to do with it. Plus, it is Washington DC so everything’s going to be a bit more expensive! Overall, my room was extremely clean and comfortable, I did notice that the floors appeared to be a little bit dirtier than I have seen in the past. But again, overall everything was wonderful and I have stayed there before and will stay there again!

Being in Chinatown, it was a very awesome experience! Plenty of Chinese restaurants to choose from! Subway was 2 blocks away. Would definitely recommend staying here. There’s also an Irish pub in the building that you can access from the hotel. Valets were nice and on point. And the front desk staff were very kind.

The breakfast area was right in front of the elevators so it was a little cramped for breakfast. Decent spread, just crowded. Costs $55/day to park your car, but it’s available to you 24/7

There was a restaurant/bar located in the hotel. The kitchen was closed when wanted to have breakfast there. The hotel had the regular breakfast buffet.

The pullout couch needs to be cleaned. We put a sheet over the couch to sit on and both slept in the bed. No we didn’t report it to the front desk. They had already mentioned that they getting full when we checked. We made do. We travel with Lysol so no worries. It was a little noisy the first night (family next door), but everything settled down. It was a good night and visit.

The check-in and check out process was quick. The place was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. It was very nice and affordable for an overnight stay. It's great that it had complimentary breakfast which helps you if you're on a tight budget. Finally, it's in a great location as it is within walking distance of the museums and most of the attractions in the DC area.

It may be a little smaller than what I would have like but price wise, compared to other hotels I can't complain about it

Breakfast for me as a German was a little bit too much of sweet things - what is typically for the US. Highlight for the kids was to make their own waffles. Room was nice as expected. Location was perfect because we had tickets for the Wizzards. And the stadium is just cross the street. Also Chinatown is right next corner.

For me it was too much plastic things. Everything was thrown away. Should be a little more green. Space for breakfast was a little bit too short. When everybody was there not all could sit on thier own table.
