It was a great time spent at Grand Hyatt Washington DC.!

We were 3 with "breakfast included". But it was included only for 2, which is not quite fair, as the third person pays for the accommodation as well and "breakfast included" is misleading and it shouldn't be written as additional info. It was also an destination fee of 30USD/night which is quite a scam (2 bottles of water for 30 bucks daily is a scam!!) On their website "Offer valid for reservations made in advance between 04/18/2025 and 12/31/2025 for stays from 04/25/2025 through 12/31/2025 at Grand Hyatt Washington offer includes: Breakfast for all registered guest per day " We had B&B, but the breakfast was for included for all guests!

The property was excellent! There was a Starbucks and a couple options for eating at the hotel itself. The staff was outstanding! Everything was so clean and smelled so good! Concierge was excellent! And the location was five blocks from the White House, a few blocks from the Smithsonian’s. Restaurants everywhere.

I didn’t really have anything negative to say about the property. There was a miscommunication with the staff. The lady that checked us and spoke hardly any English, and it was very difficult to communicate with her. And we did not like our room. Our room was located between the elevators and the ice machine area. Will definitely request a different room in the future, very noisy all through the night and day. But otherwise the property was excellent.

I liked the motion lights underneath the bed

The sink was clogged. I did not like using a community microwave.

The time it took at the airport to go through passport checks meant that I arrived at the hotel after 10:30pm in the dark and coming from the silver line metro I found it unsettling that the door of the hotel was locked and I had to bang on the door to try and attract the attention of the people at reception. After a long journey I was just so relieved when someone finally noticed me & let me in.... There was no light and no bell to alert the team that a guest needed to be let in. Also there is an icon of someone swimming & so i thought there was a swimming pool but there isn't one... It would be great to add a pool for guests.

The hotel was beautiful and clean and the location was amazing, walking distance to many attractions and access to a subway stop in the hotel.

The parking garage connected to the hotel was very expensive. We learned that there were parking garages for 1/2 the cost across the street at the end of our stay. I wish the other options were mentioned to us by staff. The buffet breakfast was disappointing. Also, the resort fees and taxes increased the booking.com price by 40% which felt misleading.

This was a rather short, nice stay although guest services gave us the wrong key to a wrong room and we had to wait to get that sorted but staff handling our luggage took care of it. Other than that, it was a clean, busy and resourceful hotel with valet parking which is essential in DC. . What I especially like when I travel to DC is the close proximity to the tourist attractions and restaurants. I rate it a 9 due to the room mixup as well as having to make reservations in order to sit at the bar for drinks and watch games.

The location was fantastic, we walked just about everywhere. The staff was great, very friendly, the hotel was beautiful, everything was clean, - exactly what you'd expect from a Grand Hyatt

The few things I didn't like was that some of the doors had small gaps in them, the pillows weren't my favorite and the store downstairs was very convenient but ridiculously overpriced. Otherwise, we loved everything else and this is where I will always book when I come to Washington now

Location was really good - on the same block as the Metro Central station. Just a short walk from here to the Mall, National Monument and White House and a nice stoll (about 30 minutes) to the Capitol building or Lincoln Memorial (opposite ends of the Mall). Easy reach of the Capitol One Arena as well (Ice Hockey/Basketball/Concert venue) - about 10 minutes walk max.

Liked the hotel a lot. Some advice though if lookng for quite - while the atrium space in the middle of the building is great for leaving light into the inner rooms, there is sometimes quite a lot of noise/echo in the space from early morning as people start to circulate. My advice would be to get a room that faces the street rather than the atrium as the city streets are quiter than the atrium space most of the time.

After reading some of the reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect. We were there on a weekend and heard no construction noise. Hotel is conveniently located. We did the self park which is attached to the hotel; we parked and accessed hotel without going outside. Staff at check-in friendly. Concierge available onsite although we did not need his services. Room on 12th floor very clean and updated. It was a quick overnight for us so did not use the fitness facilities or restaurant. Hotel location was great - we walked across street to brewery for drinks and appetizers, walked to The Warner Theatre for show and then walked to Old Ebbitt Grill for late dinner following concert.

All was good for us.
