It was a comfortable room, well-kept and in a centralised location. They even gave me a free grade too.

They charged me USD$60 for incidental charge upfront but haven't refunded me. It has been more than a month. They did not get back to me regarding any damages. I am letting it slide because they did give me an upgrade.

I only stayed here for one night while traveling for work. I loved this hotel and was super happy I found it. If you like restored, historical facilities, this is your place. Someone who cared about this building invested in it and kept a lot of the markers that make it unique. It is cozy and comfortable. I loved the high ceilings and how roomy the rooms were -- you can easily put another bed in the bedroom. They are really that big. And the women at the front desk were smart, charming and so kind. I will stay here next time I am in DC. (I forgot to say, the rate was incredible, especially considering it was cherry blossoms week!).

The staff was wonderful. The valet was so kind and helpful! It was a really spacious room for being downtown DC and close to things. We loved the robes too!

I do wish there had been some type of ice machine available to use.

Inside was quiet and going to your room was like a little apartment. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice and spacious. The hotel was up to date as far as decors also. It’s a small thing, but goes a long way, they carried my luggage in and had a lift to carry it out. Front desk was polite as well.

There were a few small things that needed repair in the room like the seal on the shower door, the desk table top was a little loose. While the staff was very helpful, an iron and ironing board was upon request. I wish it was available in the room already. The closet space is small because of the safe, but there were plenty hangers. There was also no fridge or microwave. I’ve noticed more hotels doing this.

My girlfriend and I were warmly welcomed by the staff on the night we arrived. Our room was very comfortable, especially the bed, which was lovely. They offered coffee and hot apple cider in the lobby, which was a nice touch. The hotel is in a good location and provides easy access to downtown.

There wasn’t much to dislike. The only issue we had was on the first night when the shower took almost 10 minutes to get hot, and then the water kept turning cold. It was a bit annoying, but thankfully, it didn’t happen on the following days. I would also recommend that they check their TVs, as ours was very dark with no option to adjust the brightness. Aside from these small issues, we had no major complaints.

The hotel is very elegant and well-maintained. The parlor suite was very comfortable and super clean. Blackout curtains and blinds, a smoothly working A/C, a comfy sofa and chair. and warm lights made the rooms a nice place to recharge after a busy day of sightseeing. Breakfast is à la carte comes at reasonable prices, quality of the continental breakfast was okay. There's complimentary coffee and tea in the morning if one doesn't want to take time to sit down for a meal. Staff is professional. There's a stop for the circulator bus just around the corner and all the museums, memorials and monuments are in walking distance. A good supermarket ist just a couple of minutes away so that we were able to stock up on water and snacks.

We had booked the suite with a view to the inner courtyard but ended up with one facing a very busy road. It was okay when the windows were closed and with traffic being slower on a Sunday morning. It dawned on us too late that this was not the view we had booked and thought it was too late to complain the next day.

Super convenient location for conference only a few mins walk away, but also close to downtown shops and restaurants. Nearby CVS for snacks and convenience items. Beautiful facade and Asian-inspired decor (interesting to read history of the building), welcoming staff and doormen. Extremely generously sized room, sofa bed, large chest of drawers AND a cupboard for hanging clothes! Climate control inside the room easy to follow. Luxuriously large and comfortable bed. Double-sized shower with large rainhead shower fitting made for beautiful showers! Plenty of storage above and below vanity for toiletries. Desk with lamp great for work/study. I didn't use the hotel bar or room service but they looked invited. Excellent free wifi connection. Would definitely stay again!

There were bedside lamps but no overhead lights in the main part of the room.

One of the best hotels I've been to for this price! Large, comfortable, pristine, dare I say luxurious rooms. The service was impeccable, the facilities high-end but approachable. We got chocolates on our pillows every day! The rooms were decorated in a retro style that felt classic without being dated. The bed was SO comfortable! The shower was immaculately clean and spacious. I can't say enough great things about this place; a true hidden gem! Were this not our first visit to DC we would have spent the entire time in the room!

The location was not the absolute best, but there is a Metro stop about 7min walk away, and a few nice eating spots around so didn't complain much

The bed and chaise lounge were super comfortable. I liked the mini fridge in the closet unit. The staff were all very friendly and attentive and the pubic areas were quite attractive. The location is great...close to the museums and restaurants without being inundated.

It would be nice to have a kettle or coffee maker in the room since coffee/tea are only available downstairs in the morning. Or have the coffee/tea service available all day. And super picky...but the view to the park across the street would be nicer if the windows were cleaned of the white(ish) film.

Lovely hotel that is part of the National Register Of Historic Places. Has a lovely courtyard with a soothing fountain amid the chaos of Washington D.C. Room was beautifully appointed as well. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. Feels like an old-fashioned elegant hotel.

Because Comicon was being held two blocks away, there was no available parking at the hotel and it took us forever to find a lot that would permit us to park overnight-ended up having to walk quite a few blocks to park after driving in horrible traffic about 1 1/2 hours. It is not possible to reserve a spot ahead of time at the hotel, so others need to be aware of this.
