Parking was very tough. Not the hotel’s fault, but advance notice would be helpful for guests planning ahead.

The staff especially Aurelia, Raymond, Cooly, Oj and Kia within the breakfast staff. They were always very friendly, welcoming and very hard working. Aurelia's 'welcome to breakfast' was lovely every morning. The house keeping and bar staff also worked very hard and the hotel was spotless. Reception staff were professional and nice. All staff were all warm and friendly even after working long hours and busy shifts. The food was good especially the flatbread pizzas and sweet potato fries and breakfast was nice and varied too. We loved the apple cinnamon breakfast tea and the breakfast salsa. The food and drink prices were very reasonable and the food was good, a lot of the nearby restaurants food was underwhelming for a major international city though my mother-in-law is an amazing cook so we are spoiled The Wharf was ideally located for all the sight seeing and Washington dc as a whole was exceptionally clean and tidy.
Everything was good. It would be better if all taxes could be included in the price. We didn't expect a 500 dollar bill at the end of the holiday for the hotel tax.

Hotel is in a fantastic area, vibrant and plenty of choice for places to eat. The recreational pier is a really nice feature. 10 minute walk to spy museum, 20 minutes from the mall. Easy Uber service in this area. Also rental scooters & bikes available. Almost all staff were very pleasant and diligent. Good WiFi speed and coverage.
Hotel was difficult to find! Hotel lobby is on 2nd floor so not obvious where to go (especially when tired & weary after travelling the best part of a day to get there!) We booked a family suite for 3 persons, but the sofa bed was not made up on our arrival (10:30pm). Reception told us most guests prefer to make it themselves, yeah right!!!! Breakfast was always busy (expected & fine, there was always somewhere to sit) but several days we found a lack of cutlery. Eating bacon with a spoon is difficult!!! Pool wasn't open during our stay (April) which was disappointing as one of the deciding factors in choosing Hyatt House. The fitness suite was missing some basic pieces of equipment, but functional and never crowded in my experience.

The location, hotel staff, room, view, and breakfast were all great.
My only complaint is the “restaurant” located on the main floor. We were going to have a few drinks and dinner the first night we arrived. We waited 15 minutes for the server to even acknowledge us and the. Another 15 minutes for her to make one drink and open a beer. The mixed drink was awful, I couldn’t even drink it. We waited for her to come back to us as we wanted to order food, and we told her that when she brought or drinks, but after 30 minutes of waiting, we left.

The breakfast menu has a variety which is great!! Bacon should be offered as an alternative. The bar food was superb. The server on duty was Amazing. In the bar, as far as drinks, there should be more options with frozen. You didn't have any sweet wines, nor could a fruity sangria be made.
Need more selection with the drink menu. Shuttle services guest should be able to contact them, maybe by a q code. Clearer instructions on how to use the elevator. My 79 year old mother almost got caught in the doors because they closed so fast. Better handicap accessible maybe hotel could provide a wheelchair to get to the valet.

Excellent location! You can walk out of the hotel and take a 1 min walk to Starbucks and a bakery. Fogo De chao is right across the street along with a few outdoor/indoor dining restaurants. Beautiful walks at night and in the mornings! So many yachts and boats to see on the water that are docked and swings on the little pier. This hotel is one I would definitely revisit with or without the kids! The rooftop has a nice pool and view! The gym is also well kept! Staff texts and asks if I needed anything throughout entire stay and when I texted a list, it was sent within 10 min to me! Staff at breakfast are exceptional people and always are asking if people need anything and saying Goodmorning to everyone! Seems they really like where they are working which says a lot! I’m super glad I chose this hotel! Plus it’s pet friendly!! Venmo is now available to tip the housekeepers and breakfast staff, which is a great idea!
Breakfast had different options every day but the only thing I would improve on is the French toast, waffles, and pancakes as they were hard in certain areas of all of them every day I was there. Sink was loose in my room and the shower handle was super hard to turn to hot so maybe it needs to be fixed.

The location was incredible, with a stunning view. From the hotel, I could easily drive to the main attractions, and it was also just a short walk to several great restaurants. Everything was close by, making it a perfect base for exploring the area. That said, the hotel overall was very nice: clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.
We had to pay for parking, and it was quite expensive. It would be great if the hotel offered a discount for guests or had its own parking lot. Breakfast was ok , I think it could be better — I didn’t enjoy the waffles or the bread, as they didn’t seem fresh.

Everthing was absolutely excellent here! It was are 25th wedding anniversary. Many thanks to the hotel and staff for making it extra special for us!! This was our first stay in DC and will be our go to for any future stays as well. The breakfast included was perfect with tons of selections and super convenient in the morning before heading out on adventure. The wharf and boardwalk right outside is an excellent "get your day started" morning or end of day "wind down" retreat from the city! Overall its a win win at the hyatt house DC/wharf !
It is alittle hard to find the entrance on first arrival, but well worth figuring it out 🙂

The location was really good which is why I gave it a high rating. A lot of restaurants by the hotel and all the lounges we went to were no more than 10 to 15 minutes away. Drinks were good. The bartender was really nice but I can’t remember her name.
Our view sucked and the room was pretty small for what you paid for. It came with a pull out couch but if we used it we wouldn’t have any room to walk around. The front desk person also charged my cousins valet on my card who was staying in a different room so I’m not sure how that happened. The manager did give me a refund though. Valet parking for the weekend was also really expensive. It either needs to be included or at least cheaper because $130 from Friday to Sunday is crazy when the room is already expensive.

The staff was simply amazing, not only they were all very accommodating but also super helpful and polite. Every single person I spoke to in there made me feel welcome and right at home. The room was nice and clean with a good enough size, the bed super confortable too. I really enjoyed my stay, I not only recommend it but would definitely go back there in my next visit to DC.
If I have anything to complain would be maybe the blankets. I wish they had some warmer and fluffier blankets for those cold winter nights. But then again, the heater in the bedroom works wonders so not much to complain at all.
