Beautiful location

The breakfast room was overwhelmed crowded. Food was not reached in time. The woman in charge was bossy and short with her responses

Check in (and check out) was good with a friendly staff member. My room was big with the perfect temperature. I noticed that the hotel had made good efforts on sustainability since my last stay pre-covid ,such as the removal of plastic single use breakfast dishes and utensils and no plastic cups in the bathrooms. The hotel is situated very close to the White House and National Mall so perfect for those who like to run. Lots of restaurant choices neadby. Also very practical to get to Dulles airport on the train.

I didn't like the extra thick matress-topper on my bed! I felt like I was sleeping in a hollow. There was a wardrobe right in front of the only window which cut out the light. I had made a specific request in my booking for a bright room as I was going to be working from my room most of the day but this was not granted - probably just because they did not check when I checked in but they made this up to me in Marriott points when I checked out which was well handled. The restaurant food in the evening was a bit limited in choice but ok for a night.

The staff was very friendly. Mustaffa and Lance were very professional, and breakfast was amazing. The location was almost very convenient. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. They often asked how the visit was going and recommended great places to eat. I would most definitely recommend that anyone who stays here get to experience the hospitality the staff showed me and my family.

There were three things I did not enjoy about our stay. 1. There was mold in the shower, not much but enough to recognize. 2. There was dust on the wall, so much that you could see. 3. The beds were very uncomfortable for me. It seems like they need to be replaced in the room we had.

The staff stood out the most. The staff all seemed happy and were so polite and ready to serve or talk to guests. I was so impressed I talked to the manager because I have been all over the world and this staff was one of if not the best we have ever had. I loved the location in walking distance to everything we wanted to see and close enough to the metro if we needed it. The breakfast again was one of the best! so many choices and each choice was delicious. Seriously one if the next places we have ever stayed.

There was nothing.

The location was very good. The breakfast, we had one day was good.

Our room had a structural column in the room, blocking access to the bed on one side. The sliding bathroom door did not close completely and the latch never met the Grove. Calling down to the front desk, nobody ever picked up. The mini refrigerator never got cold. Also no bath mats, jad to ask for them.

Great location in walking distance of many key sites, the Metro and downtown Washington. Quiet, comfortable room. Good breakfast selection.

We had a room on the side of the hotel with a floor to cealing narrow window with no view to speak of. The pillows were all too soft and the shower control needed some maintenance - it worked but the wasn't fitted correctly. Breakfast was also very busy.

Almost everything was awesome! The absence of BACON during breakfast was our only complaint. The staff was awesome! Kudos to Chrystallyn, Madeleine, Lois, Jazmine, Mis. Tee, Delontea, Alonzo and the gentleman of African decent which I can't remember his name. Especially to Chrystallyn. She went above and beyond for us in every way possible to make our stay enjoyable. She helped us with reservations at the restaurant next door. She went over there to do that. What I remember most about her was her continuous smile throughout our entire stay there. 😀

The only complaint within my traveling group was the breakfast. There was no BACON 🥓 served at all as promised! The first day, the meat served was uncooked corn beef hash. Second through the fourth day, link sausage 🌭 was served. We had grown desperately tired of it. We, along with others started complaining about the absence of BACON 🥓.

Hotel is very clean. Room had an extra sitting area that was great and it actually made into a bed. Beds were very comfortable. Rooftop bar had a great vibe with plenty of seats for relaxing. Breakfast was great with different choices every day of our three night stay. Located around the corner and just a few short blocks to the White House.

Some of the staff (not all) were not friendly. Not overly rude, but not very friendly. Guy checking us out did not even look up when he spoke to us!

Excellent location with everything just a walking distance from the White House, subway, bus station, restaurants and CVS! The surroundings are safe and clean. Room is exceptional. Beds are very comfortable and breakfast is very enjoyable and they served great coffee. We will come back again on the next visit to DC.

Car valet services shall be improved. There was a lack of cooperation between the front and the valet. They fought one another in front of my face!

Bong and Jason and Jenny and the other breakfast staff...helpful, Friendly & efficient!. I did not catch the name of the tall black girl.I think she had a tattoo that said Celeste. On her map , but she was so friendly and helpful.

We were in room seven twelve and the blinds were not aligned on the window but it did not ruin our trip. Unfortunately, though our TV had 3 white spots on it.That probably should be replaced.
