This is a great place to stay in Washington D.C. and was the perfect choice for a combined business and family trip. The 2-bedroom suite with kitchen, living room, 2 bathrooms, and dishwasher/dryer, met all of our different parent and child needs. It was very clean, well-equipped, and the location was a short walk to both sightseeing locations and business meetings. The price was also very reasonable - I would say that it was more cost effective than 2 connecting hotel rooms in the area - and this was helped by the fact that we could buy food in and manage our laundry over a 7-night stay. We went on a 12-minute walk to the nearest Whole Foods for our shopping and ordered takeout from the Panera Bread next door (which has fantastic staff). I really can't say enough to recommend AKA White House. We - 2 adults and 2 12-years olds - agree that we would definitely choose to stay here again.

I would give the property 10/10 if I wasn’t on the side of the building next to construction. It was too bright and loud. I have stayed at the property 4 years running for my week in DC and it’s been above average for the price. It has everything I want. Every time I get the same room, 710. I checked in early after a red eye and my room wasn’t ready. I sat in the theater until it was, Many other customers checked in between my arrival and occupying the room. Apparently I had to wait for, what I consider a lower quality room because that’s the room I’ve had before. I’ve booked through booking and direct, this time it was a little cheaper through booking

Lovely large apartment with full kitchen, very comfy bed and bathroom and extra toilet suite. Very close to White House, restaurants and DC landmarks. Quiet and comfortable. Nice lobby area with bar. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.

The bedroom wall is glass panels so you can't make the room fully dark as the lights shine in through the living room area windows. There are blinds in the living room but no curtains. The rooms look into an office building behind so the blinds have to stay closed. No basic supplies provided such as washing up liquid, tea towels, tea or coffee.

The suite provided to us was beautiful! My fiancé and I flew in from Miami, FL for a Kendrick Lamar concert and to see all the sights DC has to offer. The staff was very kind, they held our bags after we've checked out to go explore some more before the flight. It is situated in the heart of DC with everything within walking distance (or scooter if that's your type of thing. Would certainly stay here again when we decide to come back! Truly 10/10

There is really nothing negative to say about the place. It doesn't have a traditional "maid cleans room everyday" and they truly value your privacy. There is a specific time where you cant play loud music (this would be at night 8 or 9 pm. Again neither of these things are negatives for me personally and I just tidy up my room and if we're trying to blast music and hang out there are plenty of spots in the area that are more than accommodating.

The apartment suite was very spacious and great for hosting guests. The kitchen had adequate supplies for cooking meals and overall the appliances (including washer and dryer) worked well. We also enjoyed the convenience of being near two metro stations and a short walk to some attractions on the Mall.

The apartment interior itself felt a bit aged compared to the lobby. The faucet taps were a little loose and some things in general didn't feel as premium as we expected. The blinds especially were rather cheap and didn't block much light at all. The reception desk was understaffed at times so we had to wait to see someone.

We very much enjoyed our 4 nights stay at AKA, our suite was clean, spacious, comfortable and quiet. All the staff that we met, whether front desk or housekeeping, were very friendly and helpful. Location is excellent, just a few minutes walk from the White House and we walked to most of the other sightseeing spots. Farragut West metro station is just around the corner (Silver line to/from Dulles airport), also plenty of bus routes to choose from which take you to the museums, Capitol, Georgetown, the zoo etc. There are lots of cafes and restaurants nearby too. We would definitely stay here again if we go to Washington in future.

Staff were exceptionally friendly, rooms were spacious and clean. Lots of room in the 2 bed apartment, plus having a washing machine and tumble dryer was a real luxury having travelled internationally. This was my second time staying at this AKA White House property - once with a friend, and most recently with family. Location is only two streets from the White House so incredibly central to all museums/attractions. Hope to be back sometime in the future!

Shower on occasion would turn cold after a couple of minutes - happened three times during the stay (10 days).

The location is great, super central and walkable. My suite was very spacious, it's not fancy but is clean and comfortable, with a great living room sitting area, a kitchen, and the bed was comfortable. They would bring 2 more bottled waters per day upon request.

Service at the front desk was mixed, some folks were super helpful and others fairly brusque. Feels like extra fees for a lot of stuff. Wifi signal was a bit weak, went in and out. I weirdly also couldn't get cell signal from time to time (I have Verizon). Be aware that they don't do housekeeping for stays of less than 7 days.

Fabulous apartment! Quiet (even though it fronted the main st), massive size, comfortable beds, lots of wardrobe space, loved the clothes washing facilities - being away for a month this was so appreciated. The location is good, within walking distance from the Whitehouse and many monuments etc.

The bar was only open a few nights a week, so after you returned from a long day sightseeing, you couldn’t necessarily relax down there with a vino if you felt like it. Not a disaster but would’ve been nice. Staff were a bit hit and miss. Some friendlier than others, we felt a bit like a nuisance on an occasion or two.

We loved having a large space (unlike most small hotel rooms) for our stay in DC. Place was really nice, clean and had everything needed, plus location was great.

While there was shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the tub and hand soap, that was it. There were no moisturizer, tissues, cotton balls, or other small items you generally would find in a hotel. Also, this is an apartment with a kitchen so having at least some packets of sugar, couple tea bags and coffee and similar things (which you would generally find in a hotel) would have been appreciated.
