This is a large hotel with a lot of amenities. It was really nice to be able to step outside and enjoy the gardens, as well as sit in the lobby or get some coffee downstairs. There was no need to leave the hotel if you didn't want to! That said, the immediate neighborhood was a bonus, we'd just booked the hotel as it was close to where we needed to be, but were pleasantly surprised to find a range of nice restaurants and bars nearby. The room itself was spacious and comfortable.

The one minor thing was that the pool is also open to neighbors. We had been excited to check it out, but that meant it was filled with neighborhood kids and their parents in the afternoons

This is a grand old hotel, though it looks a bit like a hospital from the outside. It’s located 1 block from a Metro Red Line station, so you can easily travel between the hotel and IAD by train if you prefer not to rent a car. It’s even nearer to a bus stop and is walking distance to the zoo. Reception staff were super friendly and helpful and our vegetarian breakfast at Richard’s was delicious (the buttermilk pancakes were the best I’ve ever had, though would have been even better if offered real maple syrup). There’s a pleasant garden in back as well as a large heated pool that’s open all hours.

The location is excellent, just minutes from the Red subway line and bus lines which take you to the main attractions and to Union Station as well. There are small restaurants, a CVS pharmacy and a small grocery store just around the corner, the Zoo is very close. The hotel is huge and beautiful, old time charm. There is a little cafe inside the hotel where you can buy coffee, fruits, croissants etc and a bar for evening drinks. There is a children's play room with instructor in the morning, jenga and chess on the tables for anyone to use. The pool area is exceptional, open from 6am to 10pm, beach bar, lunch menu, kind and nice staff, water aerobics on some days, free drinking water. The garden is amazing. Free Wifi for only Omni Select guests, so it is a good idea to sign up. Room service was prompt and efficient. We loved the hotel.

We stayed in a traditional room, which was not updated yet. The room was big, comfy and clean, but the furniture was a bit outdated. We did not mind, we had a fantastic time. It was very cold in the lobby.

The hotel overall is beautiful. Amazing lobby, pool area, rooms. My room as amazing, overlooking the main street, but really spacious and comfortable. The location was very convenient, close to restaurants and bars, and also very well connected via public transportation.

I needed support when I checked-out around 4am, but there was no staff at the lobby. Not sure if there is no 24-hour reception service, but that was an inconvenience. The elevators also take forever to be available, but thankfully I was in the second floor, and could use the stairs.

the room was very nice and was able to spread out a little bit. The downstairs area (lobby, conference rooms, etc) were immaculate. I don't like to valet my car, however they made it a very easy process and didn't limit how many times I could use my car when my co-worker and I would go out (although we would typically go out once a day). It was a little away from town, but not that far.

I don't like to valet my car and there was no option there. The TV was right in front of the bed, but the work center was on the opposite side of the room, which made it very awkward if I wanted to work on something, yet be able to watch any television. The bathroom is very small, and there aren't really many outlets in the room.

Across the street was a fantastic diner we had breakfast at twice as well as a restaurant called Flavorture that had exceptional food and a great vibe. A metro station entrance was really close for convenience and if you’re up for walking the zoo was exactly 0.5 mile away with more tasty sit down places for lunch and dinner right outside. Hotel staff were always polite and gracious.

The hotel bar offers food options once the hotel restaurant is closed but difficult to find somewhere to sit.

My daughter liked it. The staff was perfect and I don't say that easily. Professional, warm and courteous from the low wage workers to the managers. Bravo!

Corners have crud, windows etc. Secondary cleaning areas need attention. This I believe is representative of the need for quick room cleaning/flip. For expensive rooms be better in this service as this can be considered insulting but I understand it as work pressure as everything else was thoroughly correct. Find a balance which is easier said than done.

The beds were very comfy so even with a family of four sharing a room, we all got great nights of sleep. It was quiet at night despite the huge size of hotel. The children very much enjoyed the pool. Morsels little shop was great and the little shop sold international stamps, along with many other useful items. We used the metro to travel around so the location very close to the station was perfect.

I can't think of anything significant at all. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

The staff was courteous and nice, particularly the front desk agent, Crystal. The room was very large and spacious by today's standards. The pool was perfect after a hot day sightseeing. This property is not the most modern but it was a great value, particularly when compared to other properties that offer similar amenities.

The AC in the room was lacking. The room temp stayed at 74 for most of our stay, even with the temperature set to 61. Found that since the bathroom did not have a vent and it was fairly large, it was best to keep the door closed to help the main room stay cooler. A couple of small housekeeping things were missed but the room, bed, and bathroom were clean.
