Room was a good size, appointed in classic style. Had a balcony and so we could open windows. Bathroom had its own "foyer" with a door. Large bath tub. Hotel grounds were awesome, one of the attractions of this hotel. One could chose a few places to eat al fresco. Location was convenient, plenty of small restaurants and cafes and also a grocery store. Also a park with walking trails that can get you to some city attractions. Next to M subway stop. There is a large outdoors swimming pool of an interesting shape - was a delight.

Food was not great. Parking fee was exorbitant at 60$ a day. If you don't need a car during your stay, it is best to find a private parking.

The facility is beautiful and well maintained.

The water in our shower in the morning was cold both mornings. I texted the front desk the second morning, got no reply but after about 10 minutes it did warm up. The gym is nice but when checking in, the person working at the desk was very short with me as though I should have already known what to do, rather than it being my first time there. Attention to detail is lacking - I had no coffee cups in the room and had to ask at the desk for some and she sent me to the coffee shop to get some and the worker at the coffee shop seemed annoyed. While waiting for a ride, I watched several valets walk by trash and no one picked it up.

This is a large hotel with a lot of amenities. It was really nice to be able to step outside and enjoy the gardens, as well as sit in the lobby or get some coffee downstairs. There was no need to leave the hotel if you didn't want to! That said, the immediate neighborhood was a bonus, we'd just booked the hotel as it was close to where we needed to be, but were pleasantly surprised to find a range of nice restaurants and bars nearby. The room itself was spacious and comfortable.

The one minor thing was that the pool is also open to neighbors. We had been excited to check it out, but that meant it was filled with neighborhood kids and their parents in the afternoons

We stayed at the Omni Shore Hotel in DC for a college networking event and a visit to a foreign embassy. The location was perfect—just a 5-minute walk to the event and about a 10-minute drive to the embassy. We really enjoyed dinner with live jazz music—the singer was fantastic and performed some great old favorites. We also took advantage of the amenities, relaxing in the jacuzzi, swimming in the pool, and getting a good massage. Overall, it was an excellent stay—convenient, fun, and relaxing. We would definitely stay here again!

The only hiccup was having just decaf coffee and no water in the room, but the front desk sent real coffee, complimentary water, and coupons for cappuccinos at the hotel shop—the cappuccino was great and the ladies there were so nice.

The room was large and comfortable with extra blanket & pillow. Room coffee was Excellent. We got to know several of the Staff personality. Loved David , the Concierge at desk, and Cafe people. Loved the singer on Friday night, Loved the Medium-Rare hamburger in Cafe, loved the Manhattan drink at bar.

Lunch in main dining room. I ordered the carrot soup, And, the Chicken Parmigiana with melted cheese sandwich. They forgot to bring the soup (OK. Maybe it was just as well ) And the sandwich was cold and too much bread. The chicken was just a sliver of meat and the cheese was not melted. Terrible!!!

They had a child's play room and bounce houses to help entertain the children. The pool was good as well. There was a large walk in closet in the room, which was helpful as a changing room when someone was in the bathroom.

We had a refrigerator in our room...but it didn't work. When we booked the room it said that a refrigerator was not guaranteed, but it was harder to accept this when there was one just not a working one. It would have been better if they had just removed it from the room. Unless I missed them there were no bathrooms in the lobby. The first day anytime we were not in our room we needed to return to the room for the bathroom. We finally did find a downstairs bathroom in one of the wings the second day but it would have been nice if it would have been more available.

This is a grand old hotel, though it looks a bit like a hospital from the outside. It’s located 1 block from a Metro Red Line station, so you can easily travel between the hotel and IAD by train if you prefer not to rent a car. It’s even nearer to a bus stop and is walking distance to the zoo. Reception staff were super friendly and helpful and our vegetarian breakfast at Richard’s was delicious (the buttermilk pancakes were the best I’ve ever had, though would have been even better if offered real maple syrup). There’s a pleasant garden in back as well as a large heated pool that’s open all hours.

My room was very nice and spacious, and I could see the city and the bridge from my window. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again. The food was great! We felt very comfortable and safe walking to the different restaurants in the area. The kids enjoyed the pool, and the garden area is beautiful, great for taking pictures.

I read a lot of reviews before I booked my stay. I do agree that the old-time smell is strong. But I was prepared and brought my own Lysol spray. But it wasn't that bad.

The location is excellent, just minutes from the Red subway line and bus lines which take you to the main attractions and to Union Station as well. There are small restaurants, a CVS pharmacy and a small grocery store just around the corner, the Zoo is very close. The hotel is huge and beautiful, old time charm. There is a little cafe inside the hotel where you can buy coffee, fruits, croissants etc and a bar for evening drinks. There is a children's play room with instructor in the morning, jenga and chess on the tables for anyone to use. The pool area is exceptional, open from 6am to 10pm, beach bar, lunch menu, kind and nice staff, water aerobics on some days, free drinking water. The garden is amazing. Free Wifi for only Omni Select guests, so it is a good idea to sign up. Room service was prompt and efficient. We loved the hotel.

We stayed in a traditional room, which was not updated yet. The room was big, comfy and clean, but the furniture was a bit outdated. We did not mind, we had a fantastic time. It was very cold in the lobby.

The hotel overall is beautiful. Amazing lobby, pool area, rooms. My room as amazing, overlooking the main street, but really spacious and comfortable. The location was very convenient, close to restaurants and bars, and also very well connected via public transportation.

I needed support when I checked-out around 4am, but there was no staff at the lobby. Not sure if there is no 24-hour reception service, but that was an inconvenience. The elevators also take forever to be available, but thankfully I was in the second floor, and could use the stairs.
