Our stay at the Churchill Hotel went very well! Overall, the staff is friendly, with a special mention for the front desk attendant (the most experienced one), who is truly lovely and makes a real difference. I recommend booking with breakfast included — it’s very good, flexible, served at the table, which is a real plus. The location is excellent: lots of restaurants nearby, 10 minutes from the Red Line metro, and several strategic bus lines passing right next to the hotel. The rooms are very spacious.

It’s true that some of the furniture feels a bit dated, and the place could benefit from a refresh (fridge, bathroom ceiling, etc.). It’s not a deal breaker, but it does affect the overall impression of the place.

Cute/old time hotel. The manager Sean was able to make up for the first night and the issues we had. The final room we ended up with was nice with a way better view. It is close to the Metro for ease of transportation around DC.

The staff were a mix of friendly and some were on the short/rude side. The first night, the A/C fan rattled all night. The second day, the clerk on duty rolled his eyes and was rude when we asked to get it fixed. He reluctantly moved us to another room so that we could sleep. We paid the rate for the breakfast to be included but the options were very limited on breakfast choices. After 5 days of eating the same thing, we broke down and ordered off of their regular menu. $22 for a waffle was a bit much but it is DC.

I arrived at the hotel a little earlier than expected, and since it was well before the check-in time, I decided to sit in the lobby and catch up on some work. To my surprise, I was warmly offered a complimentary breakfast upon arrival, and the receptionist was able to accommodate me with an early check-in. When I got to the room, I was impressed by how spacious and impeccably clean it was—perfect for anyone’s needs. The small desk was a nice touch, and I was pleasantly surprised by the large bathroom, which added an extra level of comfort to the stay. The highlight was the coffee – the hotel had the best coffee and the in-room coffee maker was top-notch. Overall, a great experience!

The Churchill has a great location, right near DuPont Circle and all of the museums and monuments are walkable. There are numerous bars and restaurants of all types within several blocks in any direction. The staff was very helpful and quite knowledgeable and the room was very comfortable.

The decor of the room is a little tired. The wallpaper was loose in several places and the paint was missing on several doors. The shelves in the bathroom were loose and the we titled due to the looseness. No big deal and these did not impact our stay, but they were noticeable.

Me and my Boyfriends stay was great I loved that each day when we put our “Service Needed” sign on the door when we went on our adventures in the City we’d came back to a clean room and our bed was always made the staff was so friendly and helpful the breakfast here was so good and worth it.

Parking was $60 a night was a bit much especially if we were staying for multiple days and around the area there wasn’t a lot of parking on the street majority of the signs say for residence only or you would have to wake up extremely early to move your car so it wouldn’t be towed.

I really liked my stay in The Churchill hotel. It is a lovely historical building very close to the Dupont circle (and metro). The room was spacious and clean, the breakfast was tasty. But most of all, the staff was exceptional - from the receptionist (a lovely young lady) to the waiters.

The room appears to be a bit shabby. Especially the carpet and the sofa. However, it was very clean and the cleaning was regular and thorough during my 5-days stay.

Great location between Adams Morgan and Dupont Circle. Easy to walk anywhere in either of those neighborhoods. Bus comes right down Connecticut Ave past hotel to take you downtown. Metro at Dupont maybe 0.5miles away at most. 9th floor very quiet. Décor was much nicer than depicted on websites. Comfortable beds and pillows. Good bathroom setup. Free bottled water. Staff pleasant and helpful. Free coffee (which was quite good) and flavored water in lobby. We went to several excellent restaurants, usually on foot or by ride service.

Parking is expensive ($60/night) and is strictly valet. You don't know where they park your car and they have the keys so you need to call anytime you want to take the car out or retrieve something from the car. However the valets were always available and were quick to take/retrieve the car. There is no available street parking without a sticker and I did not see any convenient public pay lots.

Richard who was the Bartender here was so amazing,He’s aso accommodating and approachable.He have a very good customer service..If you ever go this place look for this man and He’ll defintely give you a good quality service.Front desk staff from morning to evening shift are awesome,so with the valet park people!!Awesome experience.

waht we dont like was the cleaning people didnt give us a headsup that they’ll be cleaning our room, from our tour the next morning when we got to the property our room was cleaned up,we do appreciate it the effort but next time they should give us a notice so we can have our belongings kept.but none was stolen so it’s just fine.

Amazing hotel, with great facilities, a very nice and spacious room with a great view, and great and friendly staff! I booked a room there because I had a conference at the Hilton hotel across the street and I thought that Churchill offered very competitive prices. I was so glad to choose Churchill for this reason. It's literally across the street from Hilton, has a great view, and nothing missing from the Hilton across the street. It's also in a great location to see Kalorama and Dupond Circle around. I loved the experience and would suggest this to anybody.

Even though for me the location was ideal because I wanted to be next to the Hilton conference, I believe that if someone wanted to be next to the main DC memorials, it would be a bit further away, so I'm just letting people know here. If you are aware of the location, then you won't be disappointed in the least from the rest!

Short walk from Dupont metro which gives easy access to DC. The room was clean, comfortable and bright. The Dupont area is lively and has lots of restaurants and outdoor activities, like markets, especially at the weekend.

There seems to be this holding fee even after you pay for your room, on this occasion it was $250, which is later paid back to you. This hotel paid it back within a week but I’m still waiting 2 weeks for other hotels. Generally, this is unnecessary, especially in this era of instant payments. The only other thing was, the restaurant wasn’t open on a few of the nights we were there, which might have allowed us to just stay in the hotel the first night we arrived.
