The club lounge and the staff there were excellent. The staff were friendly, efficient , helpful. The reception staff responded to requests and resolved issues promptly and with polite efficiency. The New Year’s Eve dinner was superb, with a wide selection of delicious buffet food and it was very good value for money. We were moved to a suite for our last two nights , which was beautiful, with fabulous views of the river

The hotel was advertised on Booking.com as a five star hotel, but I felt our room was not what I expected from 5 star. The furniture was scratched and dated. The only drinking glasses available were in the bathroom so we had to request extra glasses . I was surprised at the limited supply of toiletries- no body lotion (although this was provided in the suite) We had to have an engineer to fix the television every day as it either wouldn’t work, or went off altogether while we were watching it. On our fourth day , the engineer came to the room four times to fix it! That’s when we were upgraded to a suite. The location on the river was good, but this meant it was quite a walk into town, though the shuttle service was good.

For a 5-nights stay, we got treated like VIP’s from the moment we checked in to our departure. Staff were friendly without being over-bearing. Great views from our 21st floor river facing suite with amazing day and night views. Suite was surprising large, with 2 toilets, separate AC controls for lounge and bedroom. Access to the Executive lounge for breakfast and evening canapés and drinks. Nepresso compatible machines made the stay complete for my husband.

The highly advertised Seafood BBQ buffet on Friday evening was a bit underwhelmed. Quality of food was average - but understandable considering the cost.

I was fully satisfied with my staying at Grand Mercure Da Nang. A special praise goes to the staff of the hotel: everyone was so kind and professionali and dedicate special attention to their guests. The room was clean and the view of the river was Just breathtaking as well as during daylight as after the sunset. The breakfast has a wide choice of food varying from the Continental One to the vietnamese specialties like pho that Is prepared right in front of you. Grand Mercure Danang made my stay so pleasant i would definitely be back in the future.

Our family had access to the Club Lounge, which we used for breakfast on one morning and joined the Happy Hour (including dinner) every night. The staff throughout the hotel are amazing, specially in the Club Lounge and the dining room. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The walk-in shower was much appreciated, as we had combined tubs/showers in the other three hotels that we stayed in. The food in the ground floor restaurant was amazing.

The location of the swimming pool is a disaster. It is in full view of both a side road with pedestrians and traffic and the hotel reception foyer. There is absolutely no privacy for swimmers. Also,there is a drain running almost alongside the pool, and the odour from the drain does not make for an enjoyable experience for swimmers. We mentioned this to the hotel General Manager, and he undertook to investigate this matter.

The room was clean and comfortable with a spectacular view over the river. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Lan in the priority lounge was exceptional even helping a parent distract an over wrought screaming child to calm down. The breakfast was excellent. We stayed overnight but wished we had stayed longer. The location was set back away from traffic on a little island on the river with restaurants close by. We met the general manager who came over and chatted to guests which was a nice touch. They did have shuttles to locations in danang. Best run hotel we had stayed in the last two months away.

Nothing everything was excellent

I loved the hotel for my family; our spacious suite was wonderful, bed room and living room plus privilege lounge for apero champagne and breakfast buffet… the food in the Vietnam Veranda was delicious!!

The check in was not thorough about the extra bed. The spa therapist was not good.

The staff were incredibly friendly and more than willing to help. The reception staff even took the time to sit and chat while I was waiting for one of my Grab taxis. My room was big enough and had a walk-in wardrobe and an area to store my suitcase out of the way. The executive lounge was big and spacious and overlooked the river and amusement park. Check-in and out were quick and easy.

The wifi in my room kept dropping out. One of the lights in my room was faulty. However, this was of no concern to me. I had two television screens in my room. When I turned the one in the bedroom on, the one in the living area would turn on

Very friendly staff with good English in the lobby (less so in the restaurants). A comfortable, newly furnished room with a very good mattress and strong A/C helped. Cable TV was fine. Wi-Fi was strong. The breakfast spread is grand and very good. We enjoyed sitting in the lobby evenings and having a drink while people watching. (No one else did this, so we had personal bar service.) The GM wandered around the lobby and personally helped guests: quite an unusual touch.

The location is about 1 km away from anything touristy (e.g. wet markets, restaurants) in a quiet area outside the city center. (This really wasn't a big deal as we enjoy walking and cabs are abundant and cheap.) The Vietnamese dishes in the coffeeshop were mediocre other than the excellent spring rolls (in all varieties).

The hotel staff is very accommodating, from check-in to check-out. They even helped us where to get the good pho in Danang and also gave us some tips where to eat good local food in Hoi An. And also, the hotel coffee is the best! I will definitely come back again. Thanks a lot!
