Good affordable option that offers solid value for the price. The room was a decent size with all the essentials a big comfortable bed, hot water, hair dryer, and a small fridge. While the room shows some wear and tear and isn’t in perfect condition, it was clean enough and comfortable for my stay. The staff are very responsive and helpful; James, in particular, went out of his way to make me feel welcomed and well-informed. Overall, a practical and pleasant stay for the price.

My room didn’t have a window, which made it feel a bit closed in. I could also hear people talking and making noise in the hallway at times, though that’s more on the inconsiderate guests than the hotel itself. Overall, it’s something to be aware of if you’re a light sleeper or prefer natural light in your room. No noise from the streets, though.

This is a charming little hotel in an excellent Old Quarter location. Our room was spotlessly clean, well appointed with a fridge, kettle, tea, coffee & excellent aircon. Also a TV. Excellent hot water pressure & a lovely comfortable bed & crisp white linens. The hotel has a quite wonderful young man who manages customer liaison named James (Huy). His command of English is exceptional. His knowledge of the area & day trip options & other tourist interests is second to none. Just exercise wise judgment on your your choices. He offered us so much help for which we were very, very grateful. Right to the last minute at check-out he got us a car to the airport at a reasonable price when Grab could not. Highly recommended 10/10

Not too far from cafe/shops/restau. Accommodating and friendly staff, especially James who was very hands on. Clean room. Nice shower although the bathroom is not very spacious. Provided us water, coffee, and tea everyday. There were also complimentary drinks in the mini fridge. Bed was comfy and did not make us itchy.

The room clean-up could be improved. One time they left us only one towel (which we already used and is still a little damp when we came back at night) so we had to ask the front desk in person because it was already midnight and we assumed the contact provided was already asleep (no landline in the room).

Exceptionally friendly staff. Room clean on arrival and cleaned daily. Brilliant laundry service - very cheap and all laundry bagged and folded for us. Excellent location, easy for access to tours, ATM, convenience store, bars and restaurants. Hotel taxi service easy to book via WhatsApp with James, who speaks excellent English as did the other staff. Our favourite restaurant, Hanoi Garden, was a 5 minute walk away. Great value for money.

No hotel restaurant, but not an issue as loads of excellent places within a few minutes walk such as Hanoi Garden and Blackbird.

The hotel was great . James was amazing from the start firstly by organising an airport transfer, which was also good value for money and took the stress away of trying to find the way to get to the hotel, to when arriving to early for the check in, he provided me with some watermelon and tea, which was very cute :) Hotel’s location was ideal. It is close to everything that you would like to see , and many good restaurants and bars too. Beer street is a must if you like partying , it was a lot of fun. Room was great, spacious , working aircon , which was a must in Hanoi’s heat, clean towels and water provided everyday. In general all the staff was super friendly greeting you with a smile and wishing you a good day if you are leaving somewhere. Young girl and boy who worked in the evenings were great too , very friendly. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel, definitely recommend !

James was super great from before checking in. He messaged me on WhatsApp requesting if I needed help before I arrived which was very kind. I arrived and he helped me booked Ha Giang, Sa Pa and Ha Long Bay. Super happy with his service in helping me see Vietnam! When booking activities with the hotel, they were available for every question I had regarding the tour during the tour and answered instantly which is so helpful, specifically when there is sleeper busses involved. Thank you so much James! The hotel is very close to everything - shops, food, etc. It’s located in the old quarter which is the starting point for day tours. They also have laundry, scooter and taxi services! The room is very nice. The air con is great. The bed is a little hard for me (I prefer soft beds) but I noticed this is pretty common everywhere in Vietnam. Nonetheless, I am very tired each day so the bed doesn’t bother me too much. They clean the room daily and provide clean towels each day which is so nice! Super happy with my stay and will stay here again when I return to Vietnam!

I had a wonderful stay at The Ambery Hanoi Boutique Hotel & Travel. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. The room was spotless, comfortable, and had all the necessary amenities, making my stay very pleasant. A special thanks to James, who went above and beyond to assist me during my stay. His hospitality, kindness, and professionalism made a huge difference. He was always available to help with any requests and provided great recommendations for places to visit. His excellent service truly enhanced my experience, and I appreciate all his efforts. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hanoi. The staff was very friendly and approachable. The rooms were very clean, and the airco was working perfectly (cooling the room in a matter of minutes).

There were no windows in the room, which means that there was almost no noise from outside, but since we needed to spend some time in the room during the day that was a bit negative. I think that if you only want to sleep it's quiet and cozy. With it being a new hotel, there was no breakfast available. This was a surprise because on booking there was the option to have breakfast for 3€pp/pn.

As soon as I booked this, I got a great feel for the place. James was so attentive, he sent a welcome message and information with things to do when in Hanoi. On arrival, greeted with tea and some snacks while we talked through what our plans were for our stay. Our room was lovely and clean, the bed comfortable, meaning we slept really well. The room was cleaned every day, fresh towels provided and the bed made. The bathroom has shower gels and soaps to use. There is a mini fridge with drinks available to purchase and free bottled water put in the room daily too. Very quiet at night time, very little road noise at all. We also used the laundry facility, very reasonably priced. Great location if you want to be in the old quarter, as close to everything within a 10 minute walk and easy location to catch a grab to and from should you want to go further. We booked a walking food tour with the hotel which we really enjoyed and James assisted in booking a sleeper bus to Sapa for us and was able to take payment for these by card which was useful! We thoughrouly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend.

Very pleasant stay - the room was perfectly big enough for what we needed but worth noting like any built up city, space is limited.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, both with tours and transfers. We didn't book anything through the hotel, but it's still nice to be offered assistance. The hotel has an elevator and 24-hour service, so you can check in and out at any time. We were also able to store our luggage there. The location is central and, especially considering the tours, it's in the pick-up area. The rooms were well-equipped (hairdryer, kettle, toiletries), cleaned daily, and fresh water was provided.

The rooms are quite small, but that's typical for the Old Town and we knew that before booking. Anyway we received a free room upgrade, so our room ended up being much larger than expected, which was very nice. Still don’t expect a 5 star luxury hotel. But considering the price the hotel had the best price-performance ratio during our 1 month trip in Vietnam.
