I loved the hospitality, the location and the breakfast. The staff went over and beyond to help us with whatever we needed. The hotel is in an incredible, lively location in the centre of The Old Quarter. There is so much choice just on its doorstep, and we were told that the street is the shortest in Hanoi. It was quiet at night which was great, and the rooms were comfortable and cleaned every day. Jasmine also organised a wonderful tour to Nhinh Binh whilst we were there, and was a pleasure to get to know. As well as Minh, Simon and Hoa. The four of them made our stay really pleasant and it was a unique experience. The breakfast every morning was tasty too, and I thought the value for money was on point. Thank you for all.

The location is excellent, close to everything in the Old Quarter but hidden away down a relatively quiet street so was much quieter than many of the other hotels in the area. The staff were friendly. The room was a good size, comfy beds, clean and the bathroom was massive with a large walk-in shower. The breakfast was basic but tasty, in particular the pho. They looked after our luggage without any fuss when we went off to Ha Long Bay for a couple of days.

When we first arrived early in the morning we had to wait a while to find out where we could leave our luggage as the staff were on a shift change and dealing with breakfast, so we're left sitting there for 45 mins before being seen to. Also charged 150k dong for accidentally breaking a ceramic soap dispenser in the shower which slipped off the rather flimsy and unstable tin shelf. I can understand being asked to pay for something damaged intentionally or through carelessness but this seemed excessive for something caused by poor design (plus probably cost a fraction of that to replace in the shops down the road!).

The staff was amazing at Golden Art. So helpful and friendly and most of them spoke excellent English to help us with anything at needed. The location is pretty central to most places with plenty of eateries around. The building is a bit old and some fixtures are showing wear and tear. But the place is clean and secure and great value for the price you pay. Western and Vietnamese cuisine for breakfast. We booked the Queen rooms and also the Junior suite. Junior suite was big with a queen and single in a room as well as a seating area/ living room. Great for families to hang out. Queen rooms are big enough for suitcases to be out and still move around comfortably. Will be happy to stay again.

Thank you so much for everything. We were the first time in Vietnam and I have to say we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. Before coming I read a lot about hotel scams so I was a bit worried but this place was a massive help for us. They helped us with visas, planning, booking trips, and all for a very fair price. The hotel also has a good location, walking distance to many attractions in Hanoi. The rooms are comfortable, clean and in a quiet area of the city so you don’t have to worry about the traffic or other noises and get a good sleep. Staff was great and I would like to express thanks especially to Jasmine who has been most helpful and kind to answer all of the million questions I had.

Stayed here for 3 nights. The building is just small but the room was spacious, clean and speaking of cleanliness, they do clean the room everyday without you even asking but they won't touch your personal stuff. They make the bed and change towels while you are eating your breakfast or on the tour and when you're back, "surprise" 😉 The staff especially Ms Jasmine is very helpful and the two guys at night as well, they actually have excellent English communication skills and I'm so happy about it (when I'm out, I feel like I am mute communicating the locals as they can't speak English, you'll need to use Google translate so they can understand you.) Breakfast is excellent.

The only thing I don't like is when you eat your breakfast at their mini restaurant. Since the building is just small, they only have limited tables. They serve breakfast at 6:30 am up to 9:30 am and if you are not an early riser, expect that you will have to wait for the other guests to finish eating. I do hope they will allow their guests to request to bring their breakfast in the room.But overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you for the good stay and making my Hanoi trip more memorable.

Golden Art Hotel is a great place to stay in Hanoi. Right in the centre of the city, close to the Hanoi Railway Station, with the all the sights on your doorstep. The food directly around the hotel is authentic and delicious - look out for the deep-fried bananas on the corner of Hàng Gà and Hàng Phèn streets! Ms Jasmine and the team are attentive and are very helpful in arranging pick-ups and drop-offs. It was truly delightful to return to Golden Art and be welcomed by such a friendly team. Next time I visit Hanoi this will be the place I stay.

Excellent staff - I can't rate them highly enough, they were all extremely friendly, welcoming, professional, helpful, knowledgeable about the city, spoke excellent English and there was nothing that was too much trouble for them. They are the real stars that make this hotel what it is, and I hope the management/owner appreciate them! The location was great - in the old town but a much less touristy part than a further east, so it was nicer to walk around. Lots of places to eat nearby and walking distance to most attractions. Very good breakfast - ordered from a menu and you could have as much as you wanted, a mix of local and international options.

Our room had a damp/musty smell and was quite dark, which meant it wasn't very pleasant to spend time in.

All staff members were exceptionally friendly and kind (they helped organise airport pick up, agreed to hold my luggage extra time after check out, and were always attentive and friendly). The breakfast was tasty and generous - a la carte choice of one of eight dishes served with yoghurt, toast, fruits and coffee/juice on a side. The location was also pretty decent in a walking distance from the main attractions and next to plenty of restaurants and shops.

The room was very modest and could definitely benefit from some renovations, including substituting the warn-out towels and bed linen for new ones. The noise isolation was poor, so you might want to bring some earplugs.

Jasmine. Amazing. Warm, kind and knowledgeable, as were the rest of the staff. Order banana pancakes for breakfast, they’re fabulous. Also plan your Ha Long trip from here. Easy peasy. We booked the room with the lounge, as we are a family of three and had a lot of luggage to sort out. It was fine, just needed new curtains. The location is fabulous. Everything walkable, just step outside though for a grab location as it was hard to determine where the driver would wait, as Golden Art is down a little street for mopeds not cars. Right in the thick of the old quarter so perfect to absorb real Hanoi and it’s sights and smells, yet easy to walk to the wider open French quarter. We were super sad to leave here. Credit to Jasmine and her staff, doing everything right (out of 7 hotel stays in Vietnam) Such supportive helpful people just when you need it! A word on price too. Absolute value for an August stay. Not too busy at all, crazy hot, but lovely cool air con on return. Phew. I think we did miss a bar area here, but blimey, you’re surrounded by places to eat and drink, and Golden Art is where you go back to relax in the cool.

My room was quiet, clean and fresh. I’d booked for two nights but ended up staying six. My room was cleaned daily including the provision of fresh towels. The staff are fabulous led by Jasmine, the manager. Her efficiency and pleasant manner is replicated and portrayed by Tilly, Simon and the other young man on the front desk. The most obliging hotel service I have received in my almost three months of travel in Vietnam.

One trivial thing - the small bar fridge wasn’t cold enough forcing me to buy my beer from Circle K down the road rather than use the provided mini bar.
