Staff and breakfast were amazing. Location was great, it was about 16 min away from the Railway Street and 10-15 min away from the weekend market, depending on which part of the market you walk to. There is a popular Circle K convenience store just 1-2 min away that we grabbed some quick snacks from when we weren't too hungry, didn't want to sit down to eat in the heat or go to a full-serviced restaurant. There are also at least two convenient pizza joints less than a minute's walk away.

The noise made by the other guests. This is no fault of the staff, but I wish they did ask the tourists who somehow thought it was a good idea to chat away loudly at 11:30pm at night and 6:30am in the morning despite all the chaos outside... the sound really travels up and I almost went down the stairs to ask them to lower their voices.

The staff working at Bonjour D'An Nam are exceptional. Every single staff member I met was attentive, patient, very welcoming, warm and kind. They go the extra mile to help you feel comfortable and make your stay as good as it can be. I was poorly one of the days and a lovely lady, Quinne, made me ginger tea and asked how I was feeling on several occasions. She also gave us lots of recommendations for food and local experiences. We would definitely stay again.

It would be helpful for booking.com to advertise more clearly that although there is a window in the room that we were staying in, it is obscured and so you don't get much natural light. The room also smelled a bit damp.

The staff is so very friendly and helpful. And the location of the hotel is amazing for exploring the town by foot. The entrance to the hotel is in midst of the hustling and bustling of the old part of the town. Easy to reach the market or the centre of the old part. 40 min to walk to the temple of literature or the famous train street. The beds are huge and we felt very comfortable. Breakfast changes a bit every morning and gives great variety, was very good. Definitely recommend to stay at this hotel.

The only small downside was the room’s window which partially faced a wall.

The hotel enjoys an excellent location in the heart of the old town. The whole surrounding area breathes its unique atmosphere, where almost all the life of the local population in coexistence with tourists takes place on the street. The hotel has a high level of cleanliness, helpful and helpful staff. There is a great breakfast, which will find supporters of local dishes and also continental type.

When you pay by card for accommodation, they charge you 7 percent more than the price listed on Booking, so I preferred to pay cash in local currency.

Wonderful boutique hotel right in the heart of the old town. It was my first time in Hanoi and right after walking into reception and being greeted by the friendly and welcoming staff, I knew that I had picked the right place to stay. My room was big and the bed very comfortable. Despite being in the old town, it was very quiet and there was a relaxed vibe in the hotel. Such a bonus after coming back from a day out exploring hectic and buzzing Hanoi. Loved my time at Bonjour D’An Nam and will definitely stay here again when I’m in Hanoi. Thanks team!

Great location. Rooms are big and the AC worked well.

The beds were 2 put together, so there was an uncomfortable bar in the middle. Lots of mozzies around and echoing noise from people in the hotel and using the staircase. To access the lift you have to go up 5 steps and then once you are on your level, you still have to go up/down another 5 steps as the lift doesn’t match up with the level of the rooms.

It has nice Decor, 1st nite Room 2nd Floor By elevator, its Bigger Room but bit noisy coz people Walk By Room, talking Etc. Walls are thin, then on 2nd & 3rd when we come Back asked for quiet we Room, got non smoking on 4th Floor but Room Much smaller 😭 no place To put Open our Bug luggage. Bfast selection was ok Except The cereals stale not crispy maybe coz its outside suggest put in aur tight container instead of plate. TQ for packing our breakfast take away as we had To leave early morning at 630am

Elevator has To Go Up stairs so if u carry large Heavy bag its trouble some. Tried Yo Switch on heater Via The air Con but failed luckily Weather not as cold as Sapa. Just have to wear extra Clothes bf Go under duvet

The hotel is situated at the center of Old Quarter and very near establishments. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The room we stayed in was clean. I loved the shower! The daily breakfast was delicious. Really good value for your money.

It would have been more convenient if the room had an intercom/telephone for faster communication. But that’s just a minor issue. Staff attended to our every need.

Very nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff - even decorating the room for my wife's birthday, which was a very nice surprise. The staff also prepared our breakfast for us when leaving early morning which was very nice and helped us along the way before catching an early flight. Location of the hotel which was also great and within the old town where most of the attractions were within walking distance.

Door to the room 505 was a bit of an issue as it was jammed but overall was very nice.

Great location but also quiet. Large comfortable beds. Very clean.

Most of the staff were great but there was one member we found rude. She checked us in and didn’t give us any information - check out time/breakfast etc. The breakfast selection was great but found the cereal to be stale both days we were there. The bedroom also smelled badly of sewage so I had to ask the receptionist for air freshener. The shower was also cold - no hot water for 2 days.
