The hotel was petite, very cosy and comfortable, centrally located in the middle of the Old Quarter. All the staff was super friendly and attentive at all times: checking in on us, offering help, giving us tips for sightseeing, upgraded our room for free! The best hotel service we’ve had in Vietnam so far 💖 Especially Henry and Ms Vy were very cute striving to give us the best time. They were the ones that made our stay special and made us feel welcome and home. I’m a bit of a sucker for good service which is why their excellent service was a big part of my positive experience :) Besides that I also enjoyed the view over the roofs of old town from the hotel ☺️

We’ve had amazing stay at Maya Boutique. The staff is outstanding, helpful and kind. They went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. We highly recommend booking tours through they recommendations. The prices are very similar to online bookings or local travel centres, but quality is much higher. They gave us great tips where to go and we made the most of our trips

Breakfast was not that great for us, and some things were not available if we came after 9 am, but there are options for everyone. Again the staff tried their best to provide us with what we wanted.

We were glad to chose this small hotel, mainly because of its location. It is walking distance to the old town (very bustling area!) and 10-15 minutes all around you can find so many sightseeing spots and especially coffeeshops and restaurants (we can recommed “The Little Hanoi” and “Bancong”). The room was large, with free water and clean towels daily, very clean and a quite big bathroom that was very good aired. Breakfast has several options to order hot dishes (scrambled eggs, fruit pancakes etc). The communication with the hotel was especially good, the young people at the front desk are very professional and speak good English and they are available 24 hours.

For us it was no problem, but the street noise cannot be avoided as the windows are not perfectly soundproof. I think this is a given in Hanoi and all V’nam:) if you are a light sleeper than you will have issues almost everywhere. Half of the lobby has no air conditioned but the room at the back is very good to have your breakfast. Beware of the weekend traffic restrictions, this is a topic for all hotels in the old town: they close the streets for pedestrians, and the Grab reaches only the main street which is only 1 minute away by foot. The receptionist was kind to help me with my big luggage up to the car that was taking me to the airport!

The welcoming staff, Vy and David made us feel so welcome. They treated us with respect and constantly tried to make us as comfortable as possible. David was extremely polite and accommodating, and even organised early breakfast for us on two separate occasions when we had to leave the hotel early. He also gave good practical advice that helped us navigate the streets of Hanoi. David went out of his way to make sure that our requests were seen to even when did not need to do this. He is extremely competent and confident in his position and his professionalism shines through brightly in every interaction. Vy helped us even before we got into Hanoi by booking a shuttle service for the hotel driver to pick us up at the airport. Thereafter she continued to work tirelessly to make sure our needs are met and even showed us where to exchange currency. The rooms were comfortable and neatly maintained. The cleaning staff did an amazing job every day cleaning the room and bathroom and providing fresh towels and toilet paper.

I booked the room with a balcony and could not be happier. I could stay in my room all day and just watch the busy Hanoi streets from the balcony and it would still give me the whole experience. It is located right in the center, within Old Quarter so very accessible to restos and cafes. Walking distance to everything. The room is clean with a large cabinet for storage. Bathroom is clean. The staff were friendly and nice. I had an issue with the lock on balcony but they immediately addressed it. I would most likely get the same room if I were to visit Hanoi again. The only thing I would ask is for them to upgrade their pillows, that’s about it.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter, and I can definitely recommend it. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the historic district, within walking distance to all the main attractions.  My room was spacious, offering a view of the bustling streets below. While Hanoi is a lively city and some street noise is to be expected, it was at a level that did not disturb our stay or sleep. The breakfast was simple but fresh and tasty, with eggs made to order.  However, the real standout was the hospitality of the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay, attending to our every need with warmth and professionalism. They even arranged day trips for guests, collaborating with local operators to provide authentic experiences. Although we booked our tours elsewhere this time, we now know to trust the hotel’s recommendations for our next visit. The airport pickup and drop-off arranged by the hotel were incredibly convenient and reasonably priced, making our arrival and departure smooth and stress-free. Overall, this hotel provided a perfect blend of location and exceptional service. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Hanoi.

Being 2 meters tall I got a king bed and the middle of the bed was hard where the mattress joined which was uncomfortable but this is something that I come across often with my height and is more a inconvenience then a negative mark on the property.

My stay at the hotel was absolutely incredible! The room was super comfortable and always sparkling clean, thanks to the wonderful staff. I loved the location; it was perfectly situated near the areas where the roads were often closed for pedestrian traffic and bustling markets. I had a blast trying traditional Vietnamese food at the street restaurants just a block away. The star of my experience was definitely Vy, the manager at the front desk! After a tiring two-week motorcycle trip in Thailand and a mountain climb in Borneo, I really needed some relaxation. I had originally planned a tour in Hanoi, but when that fell through, I found myself with a whole week free in the city. Vy greeted me with the biggest smile and let me know my room had been upgraded—what a surprise! She took the time to share all the fantastic features of the hotel and gave me lots of tips about Vietnam. Breakfast was excellent, with options from a buffet and a menu, and every morning, Vy would greet me with such enthusiasm. By the second day, she even remembered my order! She was genuinely interested in my plans for exploring Hanoi. When I told her I’d be riding the hop-on, hop-off bus for a bit, she excitedly marked a bunch of must-see attractions on the map. I checked out places like the Temple of Literature, the Women’s Museum, Hoa Lo Prison, and Dong Xuan Market—each one was a wonderful experience. I kept busy every day and met so many fantastic people during my stay. As my time in Hanoi was wrapping up, Vy suggested I visit Ha Long Bay and Binh Minh. If you have to choose just one, I’d definitely recommend Ha Long Bay. It was such an unforgettable experience!I went for both and had a great time at each! Vy booked both of these excursions for me and also suggested that she book my taxi to the airport.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Vy even made an effort to make a guide to ensure that I get to enjoy Hanoi during my short stay. I also had to extend another night, which was hassle free and they even upgraded me to a room with a balcony and view which I thought was amazing! The rooms were clean and comfortable and had everything that I needed. The hotel also has elevators which is really good especially if you have luggages with you. The hotel is located at the heart of Old Quarter so it’s definitely easy to get around and everything is in walking distance. Overall, I am very satisfied with my stay and would highly recommend it.

We arrived at 2 AM on our bus from Ha Giang, and the receptionist was still there to check us in. We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a better room without even asking. The room was larger than expected and very clean. It also had one of the best showers we've experienced in Vietnam, with good water pressure, perfect water temperature, and an actual shower cabin. At breakfast, we were served a variety of fruits, pancakes, scrambled eggs, and a perfectly cooked omelet. When we asked to extend our stay, the receptionist went out of her way to accommodate us. She also provided us with valuable insights on things to do around Hanoi and in the region after our stay at the hotel. Overall, it was a great experience, and we would definitely come back.
