Before our arrival to Ho Chi Minh City, we spent a lot of time looking for decent accommodation in price range around 30€ per night in District 1. Many of the hotels on Booking have good reviews, but I think most of them are fake reviews and if you go deeper in the comments, you will find a lot of bad reviews and even some accommodations were reported as scam or being very dirty. Also many of them had fake photos. However, that is not the case of Loan Vo Hostel! We were nicely surprised how clean and nice this hostel was. Wifi was very good too. The guy on the reception was very nice and helpful. Location is amazing, walking distance to main attractions in the city. If I ever came back to HCMC, I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Even though location is very good, bare in mind that streets are very busy here whole night and it can be very noisy. We didnt hear any music from bars, only traffic noises. Earplugs can help a lot.

Overall excellent. Comfy bed. Good functioning AC. Good functioning bathroom. A MINI FRIDGE!!! Excellent location close to the party streets, but not so close that you're unable to sleep due to the noise. Also close to a 7-11 (which you can shop more heavily at thanks to the mini fridge). Also close to a good Banh Mi restaurant, a nice park, and several other cool spots. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend to others and stay here next time.

Lots of stairs to get to the fourth floor, not a bad thing... I just wish I was in better shape, lol.

i can recommend this hostel with a clear conscience. it is one of the best hostels i have stayed in. the private rooms have a great layout and comfortable beds. the staff are excellent and courteous. they will help you with any problem. they make your stay carefree. the cleanliness of the rooms leaves nothing to be desired. If you want to stay in the party area of HCMC, this is the place to stay. When I come back to HCMC, I will definitely stay at Loan Võ Travel again.

Due to the central location, its noisy 24/7. For me, that was totally fine. But if you're someone that needs a quiet environment for a good nights rest, choose another area in HCMC.

Perfect location in Ho Chi Min City, next to the park and walking distance to the main sights. We really enjoyed our stay here. A very friendly local family owns and runs the place, they are available 24/7. They helped us book a tour to the Cu Chi tunnels and helped us book a cheap ride to the airport. The room was as advertised in the pictures, it was cosy and clean with airconditioning and a fridge. We were a little bit afraid that the bathroom was going to be wet completely after using the shower, but this was not the case.

Absolutely loved how quaint it was, perfect location for activities, bus stop, great food, and not far from walking Bui Vien walking Street but far enough that it wasn't too noisy at night. The owner herself, Loan, was absolutely fantastic! She was so accommodating, helped me organise my next destination and transportation, and just a lovely human being. Would absolutely 10/10 recommend anyone here.

The hostel is in an excellent location and less than a 5 minute walk to where the buses arrive. This is a welcoming, family run hostel. I felt very safe and well looked after. The room was comfortable. The bed was great, and the bathroom had a good shower. Just a note for those with disabilites: there are two flights of stairs to get up to the rooms.I recommend staying here.

The staff was the best! We booked for 1 night and it was no problem at all to book another night at the desk. Nice rooms with a mosaic like window front open bath. There is plenty of service for booking trains and other travels and money exchange. She offered us a perfect deal to avoid additional Visa fees. The desk lady had one of the most welcoming smiles I have ever encountered :)

The location is excellent. It is near Bui Vien, but the noise from the area can't be heard in our bedroom. Lots of restaurants around. The owner and her family are really kind. They assisted us in booking next-day tours and were able to extend our stay with them with no problem.

The location was great, the room was clean and the price was good. You can also change money there and book a bus ticket. And very nice staff. A gym is nearby and so are many restaurants and bars. Almost perfect!

Only minus thing was that there were no cups in the room, even though there was an electric kettle (which was great for me).

The location was perfect, walkable to everything we needed. The room wasn't plush but spacious, bright, and comfortable for our needs and for the price. A/C worked, loved being able to open the little window out to the street in the morning and really appreciated the vanity desk for organizing our things and getting ready. The room overall was very clean, although there may have been some water bottles left from the previous stay in the fridge and a pair of shoes? The people working there were incredible helpful and kind. They booked a tour for us and we ended up staying out late the night before, they woke us up and got two people to scooter us to another pickup location because missed the original hotel pickup. We didn't realize until we were leaving that the very nice guy we would see every morning at the front desk stayed downstairs and had been leaving the security gate open just enough for us to enter until we came home each night (which was usually rather late..). And was still super sweet and smiley and kind to us every morning.
