We had a wonderful stay! The host and the team were incredibly kind and welcoming, they truly did everything to make us feel at home. They helped us with everything we needed, from local travel tips to arranging driver and recommending great places to visit in the area. Breakfast was simply but tasty and varied, a great start to the day. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the village and within a walking distance to all the restaurants. Highly recommended!!

This is a simple home-style accommodation, not fancy and a little bit dated. That said, the beds, sheets and towels were all clean and comfortable which made our stay pleasant overall.

Our favourite place our whole trip! Lys and her family are the most loving people we’ve ever met. They go above and beyond for you. They helped us book tours, transport and much more. You feel so at home which was so reassuring as it is my first time overseas. The place is accomodating to all needs with great facilities. Breakfast is delicious, showers stay hot with great pressure, beds are comfy with nice fluffy pillows, great views and all very tidy. I honestly wish we got to stay longer and u cannot recommend this place enough! Thank you Lys we will miss you 🩷🩷🩷

We absolutely loved our stay at Lys Homestay! We stayed 3 nights and wished we stayed longer. The room was comfortable and clean and the lovely cleaning staff changed towels made up our room daily. The bathroom was spacious with a shower door which was great for keeping the floor dry. We loved spending time at the pool which was clean and had available sun loungers and towels. The homestay also had bicycles to rent which was very handy. The best part of our stay was of course Lys and her family! They were so welcoming and kind and made our experience in Ninh Binh so much more enjoyable. The friendly smiles and chats each day were so lovely and even providing us with snacks ahead of our night bus was such a nice touch! Lys homestay felt like a home away from home in Vietnam and you simply must stay here if you’re visiting!

The location was amazing, close to many attractions and the service was terrific. It felt a lot closer to the attractions as well as you could rent a bicycle or scooter whichever you'd prefer. If needed a taxi could also be ordered to wherever you wanted to go. I got a warm welcome with a fruit platter which also came with breakfast. Highly appreciated. I only stayed 2 nights and wish I could've stayed longer. When it was time for me to leave with my pickup I even got fruit, snacks and a water with me. I strongly recommend this homestay.

A Wonderful Stay - Highly Recommended! I had an amazing stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, I felt completely at home. The place is comfortable and cozy, making it the perfect getaway. The location is central, making it super convenient to explore the area. The hotel itself is spotless, and the breakfast is absolutely delicious! What really made this stay unforgettable was the warmth and care from Liz. She was incredibly attentive, especially when my partner fell ill. Liz went above and beyond to make sure we were okay, and her kindness made us feel so cared for during a difficult time. She also helped us with transportation to Hoi An, which was super convenient, and arranged some fantastic tours for us. Everything was just excellent, and her personal touch made the experience even better. The entire family is just as lovely – they made us feel like part of their own. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a welcoming and comfortable place to stay. This version adds your transportation and tour experiences, giving an even fuller picture of the amazing service!

Everything was perfect

My family of 9 had a lovely time at Ly's Homestay Feb 19-21. They made it possible for all of us to be on the same floor so that we could be close to each other. The rooms were nice, spacious and very clean. The location was central to everything, so it made traveling and walking around very easy. The breakfast options (Vietnamese and western options) were awesome and cooked fresh daily. Ms Hue (hostess) was wonderful, very helpful and incredibly knowledgeable about the area and for things to do. My parents are quite shy, but they had a great time chatting with her and learning about the area and how Ly's homestay came to be. If we ever go back to Tam Coc, we would definitely love to stay here again. Ly's homestay was one the best highlights of our Vietnam trip.

We had an amazing time!! The hosts were lovely, they took such good care of us: starting at check out where we were offered mango juice, we got a map and suggestions on which sites to visit first according to the weather conditions. The room was spacious and clean, directly by the pool. The bathroom had a proper shower (hard to find in Vietnam, usually the bathroom floor gets completely wet). The breakfast in the morning was included in the price (not a buffet), it was delicious and there were many plates to choose between. It was also possibile to rent bikes and motorbikes; the owner set up a limousine for us from Tam Coc to Hanoi. I suggest staying here!!

Our stay was fantastic. We recommend this homestay to everyone. The family are incredibly sweet and helpful; they run a travel agency so can book tours or rent mopeds or bikes (we booked a tour, our transfer to Hanoi airport, and laundry through them). The family gave useful advice on what to do and where to eat. We genuinely felt treated like part of the family during the stay - we were waved off before our tour, given a bag of snacks for our journey to Hanoi, and the family even woke up early to ensure we could eat breakfast on our final day. The room was cleaned daily to a high standard. The bed was comfortable, room had enough space, and there was no issue with noise. Overall you get hotel quality but with a wonderful family atmosphere.

The hot water in our room ran out fairly quickly, so we had to take brief showers. Also the water didn’t drain quickly so part of the bathroom flooded. Still, this was significantly better than the wet room options available from most other hotels/ hostels in the area, and we liked that this was a fitted shower with a door rather than a wet room.

Everything! The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We had a balcony with amazing views of the mountains. The breakfast was very good, tea / coffee and juices, fruit to start and then plenty of options to choose from which was freshly prepared. Every aspect of our stay was easy and enjoyable, from booking tours, to transfer back to Hanoi. Laundry service available at cheap rates. Bicycles and scooters available to rent at good rates. The best thing about our stay was the welcome and hospitality we experienced, we were made to feel at home and nothing was too much. This was our best stay in Vietnam, I would recommend and would love to stay again.

Absolutely nothing!

The hostess was amazing she could not do enough for us. As well as organising a day tour for us, bicycle rental, she insisted on providing us with some water and snacks for our train journey when we were moving on. The location was perfect, 5 minute walk to the boat station and the road where most bars and restaurants are yet it was very quiet. Our room was very spacious and had a lovely balcony.

Not a major issue but you had to wait a few moments for the hot water to be available again for the next person to have a shower
