This is a gorgeous garden retreat set in the extraordinary karst and paddy field scenary. Download Grab app and local taxis and scooters can move you in and out of Tam Coc town centre if you don’t like cycling. However I will say we only did one trip to town for dinner in attempt to save some money - roast duck is basically in the menu everywhere. It was ok but not in the same league as the food that the hotel produced so I wouldn’t waste your time travelling in and out in the evenings. The restaurant is fantastic - breakfast and dinners and pool side lunch snacks we tried were fab. The staff work so hard to make everything perfect. They’d made such an effort for my birthday and made a wonderful cake. The reception staff were brilliant and helped organise great half day trips so we could do the Tam Coc boat trips and avoid queues. The have a wonderful boat trip that leaves from just outside the gate. Free bikes means you’re free to looter as you like. They also help us organise transfers to and from Hanoi and to and from a golf day at Trang An. Finally she spent repeated phone calls to Vietnam airlines customer service to help us sort and problem with our flights, much easier in Vietnamese!! The villas are beautiful and sympathetically designed to merge into the garden. Mosquito nets are put out each evening for you. Lovely tea and coffee in the room. All the ceramics are home made including the incredible bath tub which was a joy in the cool evenings (we were here in winter). Gorgeous pool and bar I really couldn’t fault our stay here.

I wish we could have stayed Longer

We absolutely loved our stay here. Staff were great - really helpful throughout our stay. The free bikes were awesome for exploring the local area and seeing the local attractions. When we wanted to go further afield (e.g Trang An) - the hotel organised a driver and sorted the price, at a good cost. The pool was great and a beautiful setting. Food for both breakfast and dinner was delicious. Room was comfortable - lovely view & great shower. Quite a few bugs / mosquitoes, but the staff put a mosquito up during their night service of the room. Highly recommend this lovely place!

This is such a beautiful place with attention to detail and design, whereas the design fits the Vietnamese culture. What an enjoyable place to be. All the houses carefully created with every luxury you need, and yes no television but the area is sooo beautiful using a Television means your not aware of your surroundings. The free Bike service also made us to travel and see the beautiful area of Ninh Binh. We dit use the bike for a full day and wow that was a good experience. Great food at the hotel but similarly in the local village. All in all definitely can recommend this hide away. It was simply a very very good hotel with super friendly staff.

The WiFi was not that fast, but there was always the 4G to the rescue. No all was perfect.

Beautiful setting, fantastic restaurant and food. Amazing garden. Room was very comfortable with everything we needed. Free bicycles which were great to visit attractions in the area. One of the best if not the best place to stay in the area.

We had a massage that dd not meet the high standard of the hotel nor was the spa centre up to standard. It was not very professional, with no privacy to get dressed, we were visible to all at the resort. We could also hear everything through the patrician of the people next door, they may as well have been in the same room. We had equivalent or better massages in the street for much cheaper

-we loved our rooms, (even though the view from my friends room verandah chamber was photoshoped on booking.com,they removed wires from the photo, which ruins the mountain view) -we loved the waiters and their hospitality -we loved breakfasts!!! Amazing! I recommend this hotel very much!

I would give 10/10 but there were 2 big minuses and taking under consideration the price of the hotel I need to write them here: 1. The receptionists were not very friendly and their english was very poor 2. Food for dinner was 3/10. Meat almost inedible, weird consistency and smelly. We were dining there for 2 days and tried different things and nothing was tasty. We loved the breakfast though, very much, it was delicious!! Overall lovely hotel and highly recommend!

Fabulous hotel, large rooms in bungalow style. The decoration is amazing, beautiful swimming pool, bar and amazing restaurant and breakfast. High quality services and accommodation. The staff is also super kind and helpful speaking great English and French. Special shout out to Chi working at the reception who took 30 minutes to prepare a tour program of the region. In my opinion best hotel experience in Vietnam. I have recommended this place to my family as well. A true hidden gem!

Wow, just wow. What an amazing place and stunning huge room with a patio. This is one of the best rooms I have ever stayed in. Full of character, great bathroom and very clean. All the staff were excellent, someone saw us moving our bags when were were heading to check out and radioed. Seconds later a man with a trolley rocked up! Breakfast was excellent, main meals on one night was excellent, the other OK. Ninh Binh is a major tourist destination and there are many places to stay but when we said we were here our driver just said 'ive been in there and its the best place by far'. It's expensive for Vietnam but was worth every penny for us.

Absolutely nothing

Amazing hotel right in the middle of nature in Tam Coc. Each hotel room is effectively it's own bungalow, set within the beautiful gardens. Great views of the limestone outcrops from the bar, restaurant and swimming pool. We also loved the sounds of nature after dark as the wildlife came to life. However, the hotel are very adept at helping guests deal with insects, including with citronella fragrances throughout the resort and mosquito nets in the rooms. The location is alsovery handy for seeing the area's main attractions - we used the free bicycles to see Tam Coc and Mua Caves, all within easy cycling distance of the hotel.

Everything! This is perfection in a resort! From the moment we arrived we knew we had landed in heaven! Every member of staff is welcoming, go the extra mile, are friendly, you feel like you’re at home! The surroundings/landscaping is divine with nature on your doorstep! Our mountain verandah was extremely well equipped and comfortable, the good night story and chocolate perfected the end of the day. All trips and spa treatments were well organised and great experiences! The food was the best! I love breakfast and this was the best! The egg coffee was the best we had across Vietnam. The cocktails…oh my! Try the Pho cocktail! We didn’t want to leave at all and if they weren’t fully booked, we would have altered our plans to stay another week! We will return in a heartbeat!

The location was great and the hotel and my room beautiful.

The food in the restaurant was ok not great having eaten delicious Vietnamese food outside the hotel I found the restaurant food a bit bland. The duck was very n a very sugary sweet sauce, the shrimp in coconut the night before was also in a sugary sweet sauce. There seemed to be little use of all of the wonderful herbs and flavors one gets with great Vietnamese cuisine like lemon grass, basil coriander. The food just tasted sweet. Breakfast was also just ok. The sausages lacked flavor and seemed like they’d been frozen. The bacon was fatty and not too flavorful. The eggs were overcooked.
