We had a brilliant stay at Pistachio for the few days we were in Sa Pa. Having their own fleet of buses or offering to arrange pick up via a taxi (which is what we did) was much appreciated as we were arriving from Lao Cai, so having that all pre-arranged gave a lot of peace of mind. We quickly saw why the hotel is often fully booked, the staff were very attentive, the facilities were nice and clean, and location meant it was just a 5 minute walk from SaPa Station (for Fansipan). The views seen in the pictures are absolutely not exaggerated either. The breakfast was really nice, with a decent buffet selection but what made it more enjoyable was someone on hand frying the eggs, and serving the bún/phở (dish depended on the day for us). Ms Chau, their customer service representative, was excellent in taking care of us during the stay, ensuring we were as happy as possible. We expected it to just be a standard hotel stay but the extra care we were given made our stay feel like it has a personal touch to it.

The gym left a bit to be desired. Maybe I'm being picky but a single treadmill, bike and bench with a limited selection of dumbells can't really be called a gym. The infinity pool is stunning, but if the pools's temperature could be controlled, it would have made it much more comfortable to use. Given the unpredictable weather in Sa Pa, we found the pool to be too cold to use unless it was scorching hot.

Lovely, friendly and accommodating staff. Large rooms, good buffet breakfast and two pools. Veet helpful holding on to our bags and allowing us to use facilties after check out. The welcome drink was delicious!

Slow lifts, some issues with checking in and a very firm bed. Rain shower in the room was broken and there was quite a lot of hallway noise. Spa needed payment in cash. Cocktails were quite small for the price. Lower pool was full of kids and the sky pool was full of Instagramers...

The hotel is truly luxurious and exceptionally well managed. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Miss Huyen, who took wonderful care of us throughout our stay. She explained everything clearly and made our check-in smooth and reassuring. She’s also made sure that i had all the different services /attention , even after check out. We also received great support from Mr. Ho, who was always attentive and helpful. When we had to wait for our sleeper bus, he kindly stored our bags in a secure area, which was greatly appreciated. Overall, our stay, especially with the stunning view, was incredibly pleasant. I couldn’t be happier with the experience.

We had an amazing stay at the Pistacio Hotel! The location is perfect, just a short walk to Fansipan Station. The staff is super friendly and always there to help, making us feel right at home. Our room was fantastic — it was comfortable, and we loved the view of the Funicular Train from our room! They made us feel so welcome with a lovely note and some delicious fruit. A special shoutout to "TIU" at the spa, who was so approachable and always smiling, providing us with wonderful service. We can’t wait to come back to this wonderful hotel on our next trip to Sapa!

Pistachio is absolutely stunning, 100% recommend you stay here if visiting Sapa. Location is excellent, just a ten minute walk into the town square where the old church is. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. And less than ten minutes in a taxi to the Fransipan cable car. Also a short walk or taxi ride to the moana attraction if that floats your boat. Rooms are beautiful, decorated in the local handicrafts which was a lovely touch. Really spacious and clean. Little personal touches like notes left to let us know the weather forecast for the next day and free candy. Bathroom was exceptional! The breakfast was fantastic, loads of choices both Vietnamese and Western, anything you could want was there. The pool was stunning and very clean. Staff are so so friendly and helpful, always have a kind word for you when you enter and leave. Our favourite hotel in Vietnam by far!

The staff were really friendly and the location is prime since it was a 10min walk from the the town center, though it was a bit of an upslope walking back but still not too bad as we managed to take the taxis/grab. We took the mountain view room, and indeed we saw the mountains a few times. We didn't get to see the mountain view every morning due to the fog (even though we were up every morning around the same time, since the fog is unpredictable.) I think it would be good if this is stated on the website that the view is not 100% due to the weather conditions

The room service closes pretty early if I remember correctly (around 9pm).

You feel so at home at Pistachio Hotel. It is located at the heart of Sapa; walking distance to Sun Plaza, Sapa Catholic Church; local restaurants and souvenir shops. The room was excellent, clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. Everything was available inside the room. Breakfast was amazing with a variety of choices of sumptuous food. food prices for room service is also cheap. The staffs are so friendly. Ms. Chau (supervisor) is very commendable. She was so helpful and provided us details with regards to weather and the best time to visit Fansipan; where to buy souvenirs at cheap price, etc. She even arrange our transport to Halong Bay and handed us gift and a THANK YOU note. The hotel is well recommended. Given a chance to visit Sapa, we will definitely come back to Pistachio Hotel, it is just perfect!

This is my second visit to Pistachio Hotel this year. My first stay was in May 2024 with friends, and I was so impressed that I decided to return in November with my boyfriend to celebrate our birthdays. The hotel made our stay special by providing a birthday cake and upgrading our room. What truly stood out to me was the exceptional service from the staff, especially the lady at reception who handled our check-in and check-out. She was incredibly polite and even gave me a cute souvenir at departure—thank you so much; we absolutely loved it! The room was spotless, and the breakfast offered a delightful mix of international and traditional Vietnamese dishes, all of which were delicious. This stay exceeded my expectations, and I can't wait to return to Sapa and stay at Pistachio Hotel again!

The early check in was very much appreciated. Room was super spacious, views were magnificent! It was in an excellent location, short walking distance from the town but still felt serene. The best thing was the service. From the moment we came and the moment we left, everyone was very kind and attentive but never overbearing. The facilities are also excellent if you're looking for a bit more of a stay cation (which we kind of were because we were on our honeymoon and didn't want to do too much activities outside). They had 2 swimming pools, a passable gym, spa facilities, a restaurant, a rooftop bar and karaoke rooms. All in all, best choice and highly recommended especially for couples on their honeymoon :)

Nothing at all

I booked the room with the mountain view, and it makes you feel like you are in a mystical cloud haven. This hotel's biggest perk for solo travellers is its proximity to Sapa station. Just a stone's throw away, you can easily walk around the centre without worrying about expensive taxis. Exploring Sapa itself is a breeze too. Motorbikes are readily available for hire near the Sapa station, allowing you the freedom to explore the city centre at your own pace.

The Pistachio Hotel leans towards a luxurious experience, so if you're on a tight budget, it might be worth exploring some options.
