We extended our stay for two more nights in the King Suite and truly appreciated the warm hospitality extended to us. A special mention to Mr. Le Quang Linh, the Rooms Division Manager, for his thoughtful welcome message: ”………. Please do not hesitate to let us know how we can make it more special. Happy Anniversary!” The hotel went to some lengths to ensure we had a memorable birthday and anniversary celebration, which we deeply appreciate. However, it was disappointing that despite these efforts, they were unable to accommodate a late checkout—even for just 30 minutes. Having worked in the hospitality industry at a five-star hotel before retiring, I understand that granting a slightly late checkout, even when the hotel is “full,” is not always impossible. It ultimately comes down to a matter of flexibility and willingness. Unfortunately, the hotel fell at the last hurdle by adhering too rigidly to policy. That said, we remain grateful for the overall hospitality and thoughtfulness shown during our stay. A little more flexibility in such situations could have left an even more lasting positive impression. From my observation, the F&B, bellhop, housekeeping and maintenance staff performed the best. Front office lack just one quality to come up tops - empathy or EQ!

Beautiful hotel and amazing location with breathtaking views. It's in a quiet location and plenty of good movie channels. The room was a decent size with a balcony. Stunning decor everywhere you look. The buffet breakfast was lovely, as were the staff who were really attentive. Excellent indoor heated pool.

The day we arrived we told the reception that on our last day we were going to be checking out super early around 7am and asked the staff if they could pack us a light breakfast instead of us eating at the buffet that early in the morning before a 6hr journey back to Hanoi. And the lady just flat out refused and said we can have the breakfast at 6/6.30am! Tried to explain that I find it difficult to eat that early in the mornings especially before a long and very bumpy car journey but sadly we're told No.

This is an absolutely stunning hotel in a unique setting. Every corner of the property has been considered from the fabrics, furniture, gorgeous vingettes and framed fashion pieces - it was truly an experience! Due to a typhoon, we were forced to take refuge here for several days. While we were disappointed to miss out on Sapa’s many outdoor activities, the hotel more than made up for this. The pool and its lounges were simply divine and we appreciated the time to explore the hotel’s art. There is a whimsical element to much of the decor, such as the stories on the steps of various spiral staircases. There is so much to take in and it’s worth taking the time to appreciate all that the hotel has to offer.

We requested a quiet room and yet we found ourselves directly above the entrance to the station, overlooking the town square. In the early evenings and at the crack of dawn, music and a community announcement were played over a loud speaker - for at least an hour. The general noise coming from such a busy street corner forced us to keep the balcony door closed most of the time. While this room offered us a view of the city and distant hills, one further down from the town square would have been more appreciated. Also, while we generally found the reception staff receptive and friendly, there were some inconsistencies with other staff - but probably due to a language barrier. A special mention to Chien, our breakfast waiter who provided excellent personal service each morning.

In my years of travel this hotel absolutely is what hospitality is all about. From the moment we walked in we were taken care of, with a hot chocolate and warm towel as we sat down to check-in. Elvis was attentive, efficient, thorough and clear on giving all the valuable information. From hotel facilities to available tours, transportation and even weather conditions. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning and it lives up to its fame - a must visit if not stay at. Everywhere you look there is something worth taking a photo of. Their dining halls and I mean HALLS, are stunning. The rooftop view of Sapa will never bore you, from dusk 'til dawn. The selection of breakfast, from Parisian to Asian cuisine, was wonderful and delectable. The rooms are unique in style and comfort. Spacious and clean. The staff, I cannot thank you enough, all the staff who kept us well taken care of. Elvis, Thanh (Tina), Ha, and Hein had provided us everything we need. Walked with us all the way to the Fansipan train station, then Tina organizing Mr Toan for our private tour, everything was smooth and seamless. If not for them we would have been stranded in Danang due to the weather conditions. Our rooms are always clean and they add water and replace towels twice a day. They even gave us chocolates at night. All the staff are helpful, communication is never an issue. Because of this we extended our stay for 4 more nights. They greet you as if you're their long time friends, they even noticed that I was not well. The service was above and beyond. It is exceptional. They are kind, attentive, patient and above all honest. It is beyond worth it. This is was truly a place I will never forget.

Hotel de la Coupole is undeniably one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The attention to detail in the design and finishes is simply exceptional – elegant, luxurious, and thoughtfully curated throughout. The location is also a huge plus, with the train station conveniently next door and the centre of town just a short walk away. However, the service sadly didn’t match the grandeur of the surroundings. While the facilities were 10/10, the staff often felt disengaged and lacking that warm, personal touch you’d expect from a hotel of this calibre. A particularly disappointing experience was by the pool, where we ordered drinks and tap beer. After waiting 45 minutes with no sign of our order and repeated assurances that it would arrive “in 15 minutes,” we decided to leave the pool and asked for the order to be cancelled. Despite our wait, the staff initially insisted we still had to pay, which was incredibly frustrating. We eventually escalated the issue to the Hotel Manager who, thankfully, cancelled the charges. Still, the whole experience highlighted a concerning lack of empathy and proactive customer care. On a brighter note, breakfast was fantastic, offering a generous spread of both local and western dishes. The hot chocolate, in particular, was a standout treat. It’s also worth noting that the hotel is vocal about discouraging child exploitation, a sadly visible issue in Sapa, and it’s encouraging to see them taking a stance on such an important matter. Despite the shortcomings in service, I would stay here again when visiting Sapa – mostly for the stunning environment, excellent location, and top-tier facilities. I just hope the service side receives the attention it deserves to match the rest of the experience.

The service was disappointing and lacked warmth or a personal touch. Staff often seemed disinterested and unengaged. We had a frustrating experience at the pool, where our drink order took over 45 minutes and was never delivered. Despite repeated requests to cancel, the staff insisted we still needed to pay. We had to escalate the issue to the Hotel Manager to resolve it, which highlighted a lack of empathy and poor customer service. The disconnect between the luxurious setting and the quality of service was noticeable and detracted from the overall experience.

Our stay at Hotel de la Coupole – MGallery was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were swept into a world of old-world glamour with a playful modern twist — a true “Paris meets the mountains” experience. The design is breathtaking — every corner is a photo moment, with Art Deco flair, rich colours, and mountain-chic detailing. Our room was spacious and plush, with a divine bed, luxurious bath, and stunning views over misty Sapa. The staff were outstanding — warm, attentive, and genuinely proud of their hotel. They went above and beyond with little touches that made us feel special throughout our stay. Breakfast was a highlight — a lavish spread of Vietnamese and international favourites served in a dining room that feels straight out of a 1930s movie set. The pool and spa are pure indulgence, especially after a day exploring the hills or markets. If you’re after a stay that’s fabulous, romantic, and unforgettable, this is it. We can’t wait to return — and next time, we’re bringing friends

Where do I start…this was the most stunning hotel I’ve ever seen in my life, every corner you turn throughout the hotel! We ended up upgrading to the Deluxe King Suite just before we got there and it was such a spacious and beautiful suite! Unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy the view from the balcony as we came while a typhoon was passing by and Sa Pa was very foggy and eerie. Due to the typhoon and multiple landslides, we were trapped in Sa Pa as all roads were shut and the train back to Hanoi was cancelled. We sadly were unable to see much of Sa Pa and spent a lot of time in our room…but not a bad place at all to be trapped!!! The room was very clean, the bed was like a cloud, the breakfast every morning was absolutely delicious and the staff were fantastic! They also left a lovely surprise in our room for our anniversary ☺️. We will definitely be coming back to this hotel next time we visit Vietnam. ❤️

Starting with the hotel itself – it’s a real work of art, the most beautiful hotel I’ve ever seen. Every corner, every room, even the elevators have their own unique design. The pool area is gorgeous. Breakfast was amazing – rich and varied, by far the best we had during our two-week stay in Vietnam. The hotel staff were wonderful. We had a night bus back to Hanoi, and even though we checked out before noon, we were allowed to stay and use the hotel facilities until departure. The manager kindly let us relax in the poolside lounge area with sofas and cushions, which was incredibly helpful while traveling with a 4-year-old. We could also take a shower before leaving. An unforgettable experience – and the location with breathtaking views makes it even more special!

Hotel de la Coupole is a ‘brand new’ hotel, but designed in the style of the 1920’s combines with local elements. The hotel is a truly 5 star hotel: the service is outstanding and the rooms are very comfortable. The whole experience at Coupole, is like you’re in a movie set. We all liked it the ‘over the top’ style. One of the great features: a fantastic roof top bar with a beautiful view of the valley and the mountains. You can see Fan Xi Pan mountain and the cable car going to it. THe staff at the hotel are great: worthy of a 5 star hotel.

The swimming pool is ‘inside’. While the design is again worthy of a filmset (it reminded us of Hearst Castle in California), it’s a bit dark inside. As a result, we really just went there for swimming, not for ‘poolside’ relaxation…

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in my entire life. It's just AMAZING. Very very beautiful, conveniently located in centre of Sapa, easily accessible. The swimming pool was very pretty (and warm). All the decorations were very cute and classy. It was the only hotel in Sapa where I did not feel cold at all (I stayed in 3 different hotels), thanks to the central heating, I guess. The staff were super nice and helpful, spoke good English, treated me like a princess (I am a solo traveller). If you have the money, stay at this hotel for your last day in Sapa (just stay in the hotel so you can get the most out of it after you're done exploring Sapa). It's totally worth the price, trust me. Greetings to the receptionist lady who wore the infinity-shaped necklace and the bell guy with cute dimples who helped me take my luggage and brought me more bottles of water. Love it!!

Well, the price of course 😆 but as someone from Europe who got paid in euro, I guess it's totally worth it. I paid 140 euro a night (no breakfast), thanks to genius programme of booking.com. Original price, according to the price list on the reception was 270 euro.
