The staff was excellent - friendly and helpful!

I didn't like being charged $25.00 a day for a "tourist fee" and then told I can use it for food at their facility or a specific museum in town. I don't like being forced to spend money to buy the expensive hotel food. You either go over the $25 and spend more money on food you wouldn't have bought, or you don't reach the $25 and waste the money. And you aren't told about it until you check in to the hotel. A bit scammy. I also didn't like having to pay extra for parking.

The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was firm, not too soft. Excellent location. The staff was very pleasant and tried to be helpful. Also, the HVAC system was very quiet. That was great and unusual for most hotels.

The floor of the tub should have had a more slip resistant coating or a bath mat should have been provided. The tub was not dangerously slippery, but it could have been more stable. The destination fee was a bit high. I enjoyed the breakfast and the feeas credited toward that. If my plans had been not to dine at the hotel, the fee would have been a waste. Finally, I had asked for a bottle of distilled water in my room when I made a reservation. It was not there when I arrived, and the staff, although the woman at the front desk tried hard to get one, could not get one.

No bell carts available. We called the front desk the night before we checked out to ask about using a cart for our luggage the next morning. We were told it would be available and to call the next morning. We called and were told the bellman was not there but we could come down and get a cart. We came down to get the cart and were then told none were available - they were locked up - as no bellman was on duty. Frustrating!

The overall ambience was quite pleasant and comfortable. Great breakfast in the restaurant. The bar was cozy with great drinks and food. The location is beautiful on the upper magnificent mile. It is also pet friendly, which was an added bonus for us.

Frankly, my family has met here before Christmas for two successive holidays and have completely enjoyed our stays at this friendly and hospitable hotel.

Location is ideal. Staff was so nice. Restaurant was excellent and the service and staff there were fantastic. Loved the access to platforms. Loved the Marathon Zone and services for runners.

Room was a bit dark. House keeping took a while in refilling shower gel, we had to ask for it for 2 days before it was taken care off. Bedding felt it needed to be changed.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was excellent! So helpful and kind. Our room was a bit small but over all very nice and clean. The restaurant was very good too. And the location is awesome. Right on Michigan Avenue close to shops and only a couple blocks away from the train. I would definitely stay here again.

Not much honestly. Our room was a bit small and the view was the back of a building but that didn’t really matter.

I had to wait in line to check in and was told the rooms were not ready, but took my credit card and necessary information asking me to return at 4 but would receive a text informing me when the room was ready. I did not receive a text but became antsy as it was after 4 so returned to the front desk only to find I once again had to wait in a long line to check AGAIN! Seems the first check in you could be given your room number and when returning have a separate area for those who have checked in previously to obtain your key card! Almost missed a dinner reservation with having to stand in line the second time! Just a thought for the future, overall it was a pleasant stay overnight!

Unbeatable location. Right next to Hancock building. Lake view. Rooms are clean, comfortable, spacy, everything great. The parking is amazing (private valet parking) and life saver. 83 $ per day, which is reasonable given the location (in and out). Also very good lake views (I sayed at 21 floor)

They had a $29 destination charge that was added to our bill. It was a mandatory charge. Since I booked through this through booking.com I expected one price for the room but instead, I paid $30 more. I may have gone to another hotel if I knew about this charge.

The hotel is situated right in the centre of Chicago within walking distance of the beach and across the road from The John Hancock Centre and Bloomingdales! The breakfast is outstanding and the staff are all so friendly and helpful.
