Good service, friendly staff, excellent place to stay with family. Had lovely buffet, a variety of delicious food compared to any other hotel we stayed before. Would definitely come again and highly recommend to rest. .... however on the 3rd day of our stay we made a mistake by changing our hotel to The Peninsula to just get experience but Shangri-la was far better and worth the money.

There's nothing about Shangri-la that we didnt like. Just a humble request, the pillows, it would be better to have a slight firmer pillows as the pillows provided are too soft, it causes neck pain and not suitable for elderly

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Shangri-La Hotel, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The staff was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my stay was perfect. Their professionalism and warmth truly made me feel at home -I must thank “Aun” for the best hospitality and accommodating for our requests. One of the highlights was the breakfast Hala food options. They had aloooot of if and all was delicious.. A especial thanks to “Chef Ann” ❤️ Another highlight was the free transport to Icon Saiam mall and back to the hotel by ferry and so many different timings. Additionally, I had an unfortunate incident where I lost my ATM card during my stay. The team at Shangri-La was incredibly supportive, assisting me in every possible way to locate an especial thanks to "Tee” for his support.. Overall, the Shangri-La Hotel provided an outstanding experience with its luxurious accommodations, exceptional staff, and thoughtful amenities. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable and comfortable stay.

Nothing at all.

Th was our third and final stay on our two month trip to Thailand and the Philippines. As usual a very nice stay. We once again stayed in the Krungthep wing. We like the peace and quiet over three away from the common tourists with their kids, and the conference people. They add nothing to your stay so why be by them. We still lament that breakfast at this time of year is not served in the krungthep wing for krungthep guests. But we understand the economics. Had the privilege to use the pool and the gym. Both of which are first rate. Ate at the restaurants two of the three days. Last day went and got kentucky fried chicken from the fast food joint. Not so impressed this time with our 2 dinners on-site. As usual the concierge service in the wing was excellent. All in all a great stay. This is our go to place in Bangkok. Thank you.

Great view being next to the river. Great accessibility to Icon mall, temples and the royal palace. Staff was amazing: gave great recommendations on logistics and dining options, fended off a driver who tried to scam us, paid close attention to us when they noted my son was ill. Shout out to Sandy and TK, you guys are the best!

There was a large corporate booking over 3-4 days during our stay and this made the stay felt hectic and hurried. There were easily hundreds of them from one company. Long queues during breakfast, crowds everywhere, questionable behaviour, event organisers that constantly gave us instructions thinking we were part of their entourage… The frontline staff was overwhelmed, particularly at breakfast. The Shanghai-La management could have done better to separate these corporate guests from the rest of us.. At times it felt like I was back at work in the CBD...

Fantastic river view.

There is a minimum charge of 100 baht per person just to sit in a seat while we waited for our room to be ready. All the tables have signs on stating there is this minimum charge which didn't make us feel very welcome.

We had booked in krungthep wing, as we knew this would be less crowdy and it was.. very nice vibe around pool, plenty of sunchairs, nice staff Breakfast in main wing: plenty of choice, nice little touches from staff which brought us special fresh juices to try Housekeeping staff very friendly and efficient Local neighbourhood with cafes, restaurants, local market and easy access to all the sites by bts or boat

Rooms are worn out, no more up to date, but clean and comfortable beds, nice view from balcony in krungthep wing I did not mind the rooms , as overall experience was excellent

We liked the room and the location a lot. The view was amazing over the river. Staff are all very helpful and friendly.

Coffee at Breakfeast is not what one would expect from a 5 Star Hotel. It is brewed by a machine that mixes coffee and milk and the result is a mediocre coffee that's just ok to drink. Second problem was that it took forever to be served or was simply forgotten and we had to remind the staff. We would definitely expect a barista coffee at a Shangri-La!

Not my 1st in Shangri La. Fantastic hotel in great location, only comment is that the rooms need urgent upgrade and freshening up. It's evident that Bangkok hasn't recovered yet from the adverse effect of the Covid era, same the hotel. Other than this, it's a great place, confortable, attentive staff, very good breakfast and the location near the Phraya river, and next to Saphan Taxin Sky Train station, big plus when in Bangkok. Greatly recomended.

The state of the room. It is a great room, spacious and especially with views of the river, but... Nothing changed or been upgraded or renewed in years. See my comment below.

We booked a very spacious room which provided ample space and had a decent view. The location is very walkable and convenient for restaurants, shopping, money exchange...etc. The breakfast is very good and worth the money. Many different types of foods available. Chef Singh is very hospitable and makes excellent dosas and Indian food. The staff as a whole for breakfast is very attentive. We also had access to the Horizon Lounge and it was also very good. The staff there was also excellent. We are vegetarians and the hotel accommodated our dietary restrictions without fail.

You cannot reach the staff from your room because no one answers. It's frustrating. Reception never answers, nor do the other services which you can supposedly reach by phone.
