The bed was comfy and had all that we needed in the room, drinks vouchers were given as we opted out of having room service on day 2. The greek themed pool area with jacuzzi , steam room and sauna ( I didnt use the gym area but it was good that it was available).Good choice of items for breakfast and parking was free.

Some parts of the hotel were very dated and in need of refurb in particular the pool area , don't expect perfection , the shower riser bar was broken so had to hand hold the spray. No seating outside the front of the hotel it would of been nice to have a couple of benches.

The room was lovely and spacious. The bed was comfy. The hotel staff were brilliant. They went above and beyond for us. We arrived an hour early and luckily our room was ready so we were able to check in. Then they usually do breakfast and dinner but we had a long drive and were hungry and they opened the kitchen for us to have lunch. We didn't expect special treatment but boy did we feel like we got it. We would absolutely come back again and totally recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

The room key was a bit fiddly. It took ages to get into the room each time as it didn't want to work. But we got there in the end. 😂

Just absolutely amazing! Every member of staff was just lovely, it's obvious that everyone enjoys working there. We were made to feel so at home and so looked after. Jose taught our wee girl Spanish, Vivian taught her some Nigerian words. Hannah (wee Millie), Connor, Emma, Alim, Joe, Zakira, Claire, Zoe, and a special thanks to Katie! Everyone was just lovely! The pool was fantastic, food lovely. There is even a bug hotel in the garden. The hotel is ten minutes walk from Mickleover which is a lovely town with friendly people and some nice pubs, especially the Masons.

Some of the hotel is a bit dated, but the value and service totally outweighs this.

The evening menu was large and varied. The dinner portions sizes were more than adequate so much so after a starter neither of us could manage a dessert. Breakfast was ample, but basic staples. No option for an omelette for example and the continental consisted of ham and cheese (one type of each). You had to get your own coffee not a hardship but having a decanter on the table would have been nice.

No robes or slippers so going down to the pool meant that you had to use the changing rooms there. Whilst there were large dispensing bottles of shampoo/conditioner there was nothing else supplied. A shower cap would have been great.

The staff were very friendly, my husband enjoyed breakfast. The room was spacious and the shower was hot and powerful. We used the pool and sauna a few times. Overall the hotel was great.

The bed was awful. So hard and uncomfortable, it caused us both to have pain in our backs and hips in the morning. The doors couldn't be opened onto the balcony as a sign said they were waiting to be fixed. The hot water was scolding almost instantly so had to remember to add cold every time we washed our hands, maybe the stat could be turned down as could be dangerous for kids.

The food was lovely as was the staff, very attentive and pleasant in the restaurant and reception. The pool and jacuzzi were good. Adequate parking. Location good for us to get to Donington. Air-conditioning was fab with weather being so hot.

Woken two mornings at 1am by what sounded like furniture being moved and each evening and throughout night, a noise a bit like a buzzer being pressed. Bathroom in room could do with a bit of attention but suitable for use and shower was good. Restaurant too warm in the evening.

Very clean, great location hotel rooms were lovely a little cool upon entering but lovely and warm once we worked out the heating. Pool was great kids loved it. Breakfast was also great - great hotel overall. The safe were all great and very helpful.

We had 2 rooms as we were a family of 5. Both rooms lovely. The executive room didn’t have the Sofa bed made up ready we had to call reception who did come within 30 mins. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable certainly wouldn’t sleep in one again. The pool was great but we found it very cold couldn’t last longer than 1 hour in there.

Beautiful hotel and the hotel staff were really outstanding. Our room was spacious and so comfortable. Great choice of food for menu. Really good breakfast and the spa area was lovely too

Lift was broken to the top floor so had to use stairs on occasions which was absolutely fine for us except when we had to lug out luggage in. Other than that there are some signs the hotel needs a slight refurb some areas getting tired, plaster crumbling however it wouldn't put us off as it's a quality hotel that offers a quality service

Lovely luxurious hotel with very comfy beds. Hair dyer provided along with tea / coffee making facilities. The kids loved the pool and you don’t need to bring your own towels! They sell goggles & pool accessories too. Food is served until 10.30pm which was great for us as we were late arriving. Free drink for everyone staying in the room if you don’t need your room serviced! Bar staff made me feel welcome as a single parent travelling with 2 children… nothing was too much to ask for. Reception were very accommodating when we needed extra bits for our room

Function music kept the kids awake on the first night but to be expected. Gym is only for over 16’s which is a shame as my 14 year old would have liked to use the facilities. Would have liked a mini fridge in the room but that’s being picky.

Staff friendly. Rooms clean. Room cleaned daily if you wanted it done. Iron and board in room. Plenty of tea, coffee etc.

Hotel was looking tired. Room had balcony but notice on window said you could not open it. What a shame could not sit outside. Around Swimming pool dirty. In particular, the stairs. Paint peeling off. Some families hogged the pool and were taking photos. Children were left alone and did not care that adults were swimming up and down. Should have had different sessions for families. Would have been nice to sit outside on loungers after swim. Saturday night. Not much choice in dining room for evening meal.
