I needed a couple of days of pampered comfort after 10 days camping in the bush and Bayete provided that. I loved the tropical garden and swimming pool. My bed was enormous and comfortable. The ensuite bathroom was nice and big with a good shower although I was slightly disconcerted by the windows looking out to a back area with a tank. There was a blind you could pull down but these were the only windows providing natural light. There were no windows in the bedroom and not much room around the bed and limited space for clothes. There were tea & coffee making facilities. No TV but I didn’t mind. It was not really a room for hanging out in but the gardens were so lovely with sitting nooks that I was happy to relax outside. I had 2 excellent breakfasts and a good dinner. The staff were unfailingly polite, welcoming and helpful and provided excellent service.

The room was beautiful and the customer service was exceptional. It is a safe 30 minute walk to town, or short taxi ride. There is a convenience store and restaurant very close by. Other reviews mentioned negatives such as no fridges or tvs in the rooms but these are intentional decisions by the lodge to encourage guests to spend time outside of their rooms enjoying the tranquil gardens, pool and bar. The decision to provide pitchers of filtered water in place of single use plastic bottles is also intentional. A wonderful experience, special mention to Clive and Charles for the extra effort in food and bev.

At first sight the Lodge looks a little basic, but I grew into it and found it very comfortable with everything that I wanted readily to hand. The room was pretty good with mosquito nets round the bed. The bathroom was ok but basic. The breakfast was very good, eggs cooked to order, good size portions. We ate there one night and it was fine but a bit overpriced. Staff were excellent

They charged 17USD per person for a pick up from the airport which is about double the local rate. They charged 3% on credit cards which is too high.

The charm of the staff and the place itself is beyond. The moment you arrive all your woes and worries are forgotten. Neatly cured by a lovely staff and with a million details to discover this is the perfect place to recharge you batteries. Amazing garden and great restaurant!

Wifi Codes expire after 2 days which of course will happen at inconvenient times. Internet could be faster but that's a general issue of the area, not of this property alone.

We were upgraded to the Nkosi Guest Lodge, because they were doing maintenance work at Bayern. The location and property was great. The staff was very accommodating, helping us to book all of our tours, and getting transportation for us when we needed it. We ate dinner on the property one night and it was delicious - highly recommend.

I traveled with friends and there was a little inconsistency in some small things (receiving a wash cloth, certain amenities in the rooms), but nothing big. Anything that we needed was provided.

The ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of city life! Our family of five thoroughly enjoyed the serene and tranquil atmosphere of the lodge. The staff were outstanding—warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. The gardens and grounds were impeccably maintained, creating a picturesque setting. The meals were exceptional, the rooms were spacious and perfectly suited to our needs, and the lodge's location was conveniently close to all the attractions.

My favorite place in Zimbabwe by far! From arrival to check out was a wonderful experience. It felt like home. Each staff member was friendly and accommodating. I'm trying to remember all the names of the staff that made our stay wonderful. The gentleman who helped us to check in. The gentleman who walked with us to our accommodation, chatting about our dog and traveling with him through the borders. The friendly sweeper. Clive at the bar, who made us feel at home and created some new drinks with us. Creating a welcoming environment. Chris that helped us during our dinner and Shiba that helped us with breakfast. Charles who chatted with us and helped us with the wifi and even greeted us on his way home, in the streets. And wonderful Ropa who kept us company and chatted to us about life and everything regarding Zimbabwe. And arranging the rental bikes within minutes. Value for money and a home away from home. I would recommend this gem to anyone! We even extended our stay by another night, just to experience the welcoming and friendly environment a little longer. Bayete was a treat!

The staff went above and beyond to look after each guest The location was very convenient for seeing the falls and getting a taxi to town very easy Clean rooms, good food at the restaurant and beautiful garden

There were power cuts but luckily the property has its own generator so it was fixed quickly

The staff was amazing, they went out of their way to be helpful. I forgot my scarf at the boma restaurant and they immediately called and asked them to keep it for me. The place is so calm and beautiful IT HAS A GREAT ATMOSPHERE. We had breakfast and lunch here and both were great

Our room was a little far from the main hub so we had spotty wifi. However, once you went to the main area it was fine. We also sent laundry and i asked multiple times when it would be delivered before i sent it as we had an early morning flight, i was assured it would be returned to us before the end of the shift but When we came back from our sunset cruise it wasn't in the room. we went to ask the front desk and they said they would bring it within 10 min. True to their word it arrived within 5min.
