Everything was perfect. Amenities, decor, rooms and all tasty meals served on patios with views on the luscious garden that stole my heart! How ever, the trump card of Pioneers is the well trained, efficient staff who carry you on their hands from the moment you arrive. They make feel special and will attend to you with their friendly smiles at all times. Thank you all for making our stay special. We will definately make Pioneers our first choice when ever we vist the majestic waterfall and the mighty Zambezi river again. Marlene from NAMIBIA

It was like a slice of paradise. Staff were incredible from the first step in the door, we felt so well looked after. Bryan also organised trips and gave us ideas of places to visit, and booked things for us, he was amazing. The pancakes at breakfast were like doughnuts and my daughter adored them ( she is 20!)They made fresh tasty omelettes or eggs if you wanted them. They even had Twinnings tea :) It was very quiet and had a lovely atmosphere. It had 2 pools and you could have food or drinks brought to you by the pool side.

THe first breakfast they did not quite understand what a vegetarian ate, but once they realised they wanted to bering me everything. After the first day it wasd buffet serivce so that was easier.

From the minute you set foot on the property, every staff member, from the front desk personnel to the gardeners to the housekeepers, greet you with a genuinely hospitable smile. Spacious room with a superb shower (much appreciated after a 10-day mobile safari), the grounds are beautifully manicured and the entire layout very impressive.

The price. In a country whose currency has become worthless, everything now operates on the American dollar. As much as the rooms, the amenities and the service were top notch, you can't help but feel the constant impact of the cost of everything from a drink to a spa treatment.

One of the best medium-range hotels my wife and I have ever stayed at. A bungalow-styled layout in a serene landscape amidst lush greenery, with a modest swimming pool and a more generous wading pool. We really felt pampered by the impeccable service from the GM right down to the room cleaners, not to omit the excellently trained masseuse Essie. The rooms are well-appointed, tastefully designed, and comfortable. The bar and dining area is beautiful, as are the entire premises. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Breakfast was really nice. The highlight for us during our stay was the staff, absolutely every member of staff was so kind, thoughtful and a joy to chat to. The ground staff were brilliant in making sure the grounds were always immaculate and seeing the familiar and friendly faces in the restaurant and bar staff really improved our stay dramatically. The spa treatments were also such a massive highlight!! Also, the reception staff made our stay so stress free and free flowing, we can't thank them enough for all their help in accommodating us and taking care of any activities and travel bookings. But most importantly, we're going to miss the ducks.

Not much. Perhaps it would have been good to see some alternative milks offered (almond, cashew, soya and/or oat) Although I realise they may not be readily available in the area. It would also be great if some of the staff had a little more training with regards to different types of coffee's so they were able to offer things such as Iced Coffee, cappuccino etc - the staff would make them and do their best, but it didn't quite feel like they were fully/properly trained in that sense. Zimbabwe is known for producing fantastic coffee, it is shame it's not more of a feature. But we are being VERY VERY picky with that one - otherwise, the stay and the facilities were faultless.

The breakfast was very hearty and served in a clean child friendly environment. My husband and i enjoyed the "home made chilli" and would have loved to buy it in bulk :-) The linen was fresh & clean. Location perfect and secure, and since we were travelling with our 2 "energetic kids" it allowed us to relax.

Truthfully i have absolutely no complaints

The staff was welcoming, helpful, and mostly knowledgeable. The restaurant was great. The bartender was terrific and servers were generally good. Food was delicious

I felt the pools were a little dirty but it could have been just the cloudy appearance. Otherwise all was great

I enjoyed the English breakfast. The pork and beef sausages were delicious.

I absolutely loved staying at Pioneers. The whole scenery at Pioneers is breathtaking and refreshing! I loved having my breakfast and dinner whilst I viewed a well maintained garden, the restaurant is perfectly situated! Keep up the good work Pioneer!!!!!

The staff were helpful and professional. The breakfast was good. The ambiance and vibe of the place was peaceful and relaxing The staff from reception, restaurant, garden and cleaners were courteous Thank you to everyone for making it a pleasant stay

I was satisfied

The ostrich carpaccio, the warthog sausage and kudu. All the meals were lovely and beuatifully presented. The (South African) beer on draught was excellent too.

I did have an issue with noisy AC that was remained unresolved. In the end, I had to live with just the fan.
