Gorgeous 5* hotel in a safe area of Buenos Aires. Excellent food

Could not get the TV to work. They said they were sending someone but no one came. The breakfast is quite expensive. One morning I settled for the Continental breakfast, but they did not let me choose my own bread. I felt the waiters, however polite they were, were behaving like food police. This hotel is so afraid that people would steal their buffet that they literally force you to sit at a table to serve you. They don't get the bigger picture. Otherwise, you get the thrill of a grand hotel like it was 100 years ago.

Everything was as we expected for a hotel with this reputation and opulence. The concierge service was great in looking after our suitcases while we went to Uruguay for 3 days. We were particularly impressed by our dinner in the Grill at the -1 level in the hotel. Wonderful food and all the trimmings of a high class restaurant. For the main course I ordered the "small chicken" which the waiter said was big enough for two to share. He was right. We had a lovely meal which was surprisingly cheap - I gave him a very good tip. Good wine list at reasonable prices.

If you are a sun worshipper, there's no outdoor pool or sunbathing spot. Find a different hotel.

Having booked through booking.com and agreed a price which clearly stated "including taxes and charges" and then to be charged an extra 21% vat on top plus 4% charge for paying by cash, I am very disappointed and flustrated to have been taken advantage of.

Arrival from overseas flight and not finding room available and having to upgrade. Felt like being cheated

breakfast was reasonable only down side, limited spread and the same all 3 days we stayed appreciated frsh fruit and juices and cappucino. etc charges to order omelettes, eggs , pancakes, waffles etc. room was nice and clean bedding and sheets were excellent

no coffee machine in the room the door men were not very helpful , didn't offer to help us with luggage when we checked out in the breakfast etc charge for omelettes, pancakes etc

Location Really comfortable mattresses

Swimming pool were in 11th floor but gym & jacuzzi were basement floor didn’t make sense for guests in sportswear & robes using main elevators Restaurant grill for evening meals were closed on Sunday & Mondays so had to eat out

Fantastic location, amazing areas to walk to close by and some very good restaurants around as well. Staff was super helpful - the concierge made very very good recommendations and helped us make reservations to all the places.

The rooms and toilets could be better. Felt a bit dated and the shower despite fixing once didn't run properly.

Spacious room, comfortable super king size bed, marble spacious bathroom, quiet air conditioning. wonderful welcome every time I entered or left hotel by porters Amazing concierge services and quality of bookings: restaurant, group city tour, private transfer by executive car and Rojo Tango show, tango lessons, shop to buy tango shoes.

From the moment you enter the hotel you are greeted by kind and helpful staff and a beautiful decor. My room was beautiful. The breakfasts are lovely with plenty of choice. The rooftop bar is excellent with a great selection of drinks. I highly recommend the Malbec sour. The views are superb.

Beds were not comfortable, water pressure very strong in shower, a bit dated hallways/common areas, so-so breakfast buffet.
