Nicely renovated apartment for the age of the complex. Furnishings adequate for a family and beds comfortable. Plenty of cooking utensils. Location was reason for booking as it was about 6 mins drive to our daughter in Campbell. Close to shops, cafes and restaurants. A 10min drive to ADFA. Communal BBQ area was well received by our whole party. The gardens and landscaping were a pleasant outlook. The room was clean upon arrival and very well presented. Small milks n fridge were a bonus upon arrival. Full size fridge!! Complex felt safe in the apartment blocks. Full security screens on all windows.Parking was a mix of undercover and open. Easy Access.

Suggest that fans in toilet and bathroom need servicing. The bathroom is beautifully renovated, however there is need for a shower screen or curtain. The shower head is lovely but it sprays water everywhere, no matter what position it is set to. A fine spray is dispersed around the room, making it slippery and dangerous. There is a lot of condensation around the entire room, after even a short shower. Also suggest a shelf or bench, to put belongings on whilst in bathroom. With a family of four, all towel rails were utilised and there was nowhere to put clothing. Also suggest a broom and mop, we had to use the dustpan brush and towels to maintain cleanliness.

The most COMOFORTABLE beds I have ever stayed in. Period. Heated blankets and split system A/C make it even more comfortable! Location, location, location! Excellent central place to explore the ACT! No more than 20 minutes from anywhere! Facilities were great, cannot complain! HOT water, open areas, laundry... what more could you want!

If I had to be picky... the shower was pretty average. Shower head looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages, water spraying everywhere through blocked jets, and I swear the bathroom had an odour to it, be it the room or the water... Other than that, which was absolutely manageable... cannot fault it!

It was a spacious apartment just across the road from the bus station and a 10 minute walk to the shops. The decor was a little dated but it was clean and tidy and all we needed for two day stay. We ordered dinner from the restaurant on both nights which was delivered to the room and it was absolutely beautiful. Plenty of food in all the servings lovely friendly staff and just across the road from the bus which we can connect up to the be t bus that took us to the airport. We definitely recommend this place so handy to everything with everything we needed. Great room heater and the electric blankets on the beds was a bonus.

Great location and friendly staff. Hotel is older style but still good, clean and comfortable. The rooms and apartments have been refreshed where possible to a more modern appearance. Fantastic price and you will not find cheaper unless you go at least 8km further away. All rooms have reverse cycle units, fridges, coffee making facilities and a toaster. The apartments are unbelievable with what they offer. Again, at an unbelievable price. You can't go wrong if you want safe, clean, functional all at a bargain price! It is now my hotel of choice in Canberra

There was nothing that I didn't like, and I have stayed both in a queen hotel room and an apartment.

Actually it is not a hotel but motel located on a calm street in the southern part of Canberra where it is very easy to get by a public bus from Canberra intercity bus terminal (just about 15 minutes). Also it is not far from Capital Hill housing the majority of the country capital's "must see" - National Gallery, old and new parliament houses, Portrait Gallery, Parliament's Garden. Manuka area with many eateries is about 800 m away from the object. The room was tidy, the bed was comfortable and it was calm late in the evening and early morning. Staff at the reception desk is polite and helpful. I was allowed to bring in my room a bike which I had rented for three days as moving througout Canberra by foot in January was not an easy task because of summer hot.

The size and comfort of the room. Location to Canberra's sites and CBD was great. Easy to get around.

No cutlery, no cups, no plates or bowls, no tea and coffee. Continental breakfast consisted of juice box, cereal, milk and museli bar which we had to pick up fron reception and ere disappointed. Should be bacon , eggs(choice of -boiled,scrambled, fried, poached), toast, tomato, mushrooms, sausage and hashbrown, not cereal and willing to pay for it. 3ply toiletpaper with more than 1 roll, happy to collect from reception upon arrival, we only had 1 roll between 5 ppl and after a long trip to get there without a toilet stop, we all had to do a number 2 and1 roll of 1ply toilet paper wasnt helping any of us. We had to go purchase some more toilet paper from Coles to compensate.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Forrest Hotel. The location was peaceful and close to nature, which made for a relaxing getaway. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a short stay. I also appreciated the friendly and helpful staff—they made check-in easy and were available if I had any questions.

While my stay at the Forrest Hotel was overall enjoyable, there were a few things I didn’t like. Most notably, there was no lift, which made it a bit inconvenient when carrying luggage up and down the stairs. This could be challenging for guests with mobility issues.

Location is Everything. Forrest Hotel & Apartments is steeped in Family History going back to the 19th Century. Ideal for a casual stay to a destination as on-site amenities include everything from outdoor kitchen with BBQs, Tennis Courts next door @ a reduced rate, on site dinning including room service or enjoy a walk around local Churches in amongst the Maple Trees. Manuka Dining & Shopping precinct is within walking distance and public transport incl Neuron Elec Scooters are avail close by to Zip around a very Green City. Better still bring your bikes. The Complex has everything from a Queen Standard Ensuite to every configuration you may need or upgrade your family to a apartment including European Appliances incl Washer/Dryer, Dishwasher incl Full Kitchen up to 3 Rooms including sofa bed in your lounge should you need it. Disability Parking is scattered throughout the complex incl On site Laundry to accommodate your needs. I had a wonderful stay over Xmas, The Staff go above & Beyond and I found it to be it's own community within itself. Do yourself a favour, book your next stay direct not online as every booking the Complex lose around 15%. I highly recomend Forrest Hotel & apartments. I wish the team the very best going forward. Great location. The room size was okay. I had a room on top of reception, and that faced the National Circuit, which was a nice tree lined view. The street was very quiet on the weekend. Quick and easy check in/out. Ample off street and free parking. There was a good mini fridge, kettle, and basic utensils for making tea/coffee. Overall, good value for money if you can get a discounted fee.

The rooms are not soundproofed, and you can easily hear neighbouring rooms. The 'limited housekeeping' deal is very limited - you need to ask for anything to be replaced. The street is very busy on weekdays. The hotel restaurant was advertised everywhere, in the room, and on a big notice board with daily specials. But, it was never open. They never picked up the phone, and the 'daily' specials board never changed.

The location was perfect. The facilities inside the room was all good. Very clean. Easy access. Parking was plenty. The check-in and check out process was very easy. The staff at reception were very helpful

While the A/C was working fine in the front room. There was NO provision in the bedrooms. During our stay , on most nights it was hot and there was no AC or fans in the bedrooms, and the windows could only open a few centimetres. So we kept our bedroom doors open during the night with the AC on full blast, however, it still didn't cool the bedroom temperatures.
