-Great location, close to a lot of attractions (parliament house, Questacon, the zoo, NGA, etc) -Food was absolutely delicious (good buffet breakfast but the dinners were amazing!) -Pool, spa, sauna and gym -friendly and helpful staff (special thanks to Nitu at reception, the male barista with the piercings at breakfast, and the rest of the breakfast staff) -the decor was lovely, loved the trees in the atrium and the water feature. -Huge bed and was really soft and comfortable. The pull out sofa bed was strangely comfortable too despite the springs. -Loved the double basins in the bathroom. -Walk-in shower made it easy for toddler to enter the shower with confidence (she was very happy)

- one of the pillow covers that were changed on the last day had tiny blood stains on it - spider and another bug were in our room at beginning of stay.

Friendly staff. Good location easy walk to Manuka with lots of cafes and restaurants. A short eScooter ride to many of the Canberra's prime attractions. George's Bar has a nice range of drinks and wide selection of food served in a lovely open indoor space. The gym's been upgraded with an excellent range of equipment. The adjacent indoor pool is lovely although it was very busy most of the time. The room price was very reasonable.

The shower design means that it floods the bathroom unless you run it at a drizzle. The beds have thick woollen mattress tops which we don't like - makes the bed too soft. Airconditioning was too cold and couldn't be adjusted. Undercover parking is now $25 per day which is steep.

I really liked that you can come to Rydges and have everything all under one roof. I’ve been to Canberra before on public holidays where it’s really hard to find somewhere to eat and a lot of things are closed. I enjoyed the pool, the gym and the restaurant and actually found the staff quite exceptional. They just went out of their way.

For a gluten-free customer, I found the dinner restaurant menu a bit limited but at breakfast they had gluten-free bread so that was good. I didn’t particularly like the lack of enforcement of rules around jumping and diving from all the kids on Easter Monday, but that’s less to do with the hotel and more to do with parents.

Was great to have a cot in a twin room (x2 double beds), and amenities were clean, check in was easy, and staff were very helpful. It was exactly what we needed for an overnight stay. Met our expectations.

Amenities weren't totally full (we were out of shower gel but we didn't know until it was too late with baby asleep - it's one of those dispenser holders on the wall). Easy oversight. The sheets provided for the portacot aren't deemed as safe (ie no fitted sheet), so thankfully we had our own fitted sheet. It was thoughtful to attempt to provide sheets, however, if supply is not going to be child-safe, perhaps it might be better to suggest parents byo (but it would be nice if a few were put into the linen order/purchased to wash and keep on site)

Loud party on the Saturday night. Pillows are either quite hard or incredibly soft. Cost is quite high for one night.

The hotel is situated at a quiet street, about 9 minutes away from the centre, ideal if you have a vehicle. The room is comfortable, with top of the range necessities, the staff are super accommodating. The pool, spar and sauna facilities were perfect for the summer heat! They are open until 10pm- yay yay! Parking and breakfast buffet were included in my room package. The buffet breakfast has an amazing range of options- calories that you sure wont mind. Make sure to try the mini croissant. The staff at the reception also extended our check-out time- which was very nice! Highly recommend if you decided to visit Canberra, I will definitely return!

The bathroom, the shower spills into the toilet area.

The property is in a great location with secure parking. The indoor pool was nice and there are dining options and a nice bar. You have the option of not having your room cleaned and you are given a $10 credit to use on food or drink. The concierge team were always very helpful. Only a short walk to Manuka which has some great restaurants.

Our room was not well cleaned each day. The bed was made and towels changed but the bathroom was hardly touched. Glasses and coffee mugs only rinsed out. Shower not touched. I know we were there for 4 nights but we expected a bit more.

I like the location where it is almost at the city centre of Canberra. There was ample parking space as well if you drive. The front desk staffs were friendly, I would like to commend the staff that helped me check-in. He was especially kind.

The carpet really needs to be steam cleaned. I believe it is filthy and has lots of dust mites in it. My kids were itching everywhere when they sat or played on the carpet. Furnitures and fittings were quite dated. There’s no “do not disturb” or “room service” switch. Security wise, very poor. Anyone can access all levels. There are no additional locks for you to secure your hotel room when you are in it. Room service staff entered my room twice while I was still sleeping. They need to add a manual lock in all rooms.

The room was well equipped and clean. The staff were very professional and accommodating. The restaurant was great and the pool facilities. Our stay was quite and comfortable. Room service was also fantastic. Really great staff all round, probably some of the best we've dealt with. Look forward to coming back in November!

There couldve been spare blankets and pillows in the room and more towels. Also complimentary Netflix or movies wouldve been great, only free to air TV was lacking and we couldn't get the chromecast thing to work after numerous attempts. Lastly complimentary parking wouldve been nice or even if offered if you stay more then one night or a better discounted rate. $25 a day was a bit steep

Amazing love the buffet breakfast, nice rooms.

Perfect stay although rooms really need to be vacuumed each day, especially when there is a bub in the room - housekeeping cut corners. Requested a baby cot and was given a single bed “cot” :p More assistance needs to be given to solo mums with toddlers at check in and check out. Would have been nice if reception or someone offered to help me with luggage to and from car park. Had to ask multiple people and wait a long time. And that was after being told I would find a trolley at the car park. Which I did not and not sure how I would have been able to push a pram and huge trolley at the same time by myself anyway. And at one point other guests almost (accidentally) took my trolley.
