The location of the hotel is walking distance from Canberra (Kingston) train station, which is very convenient. It's situated in a quiet area of Canberra. The staff were very friendly and efficient, especially those servicing the bar and restaurant. The food in the restaurant was also delicious. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room I was in was also extremely spacious and included two couches and a coffee table. As I was only staying overnight, it was a quick stay and I was not able to make use of the full facilities of the hotel but was very satisfied with how clean and tidy everything was both in the room and the hotel lobby and restaurant areas.

Coffee machine was terrific. Easy to use. Layout of room was good and comfy bed with a couple of different pillows. Quick payment process at end of stay.

The Margaritas for the happy hour weren't as described on the sign, no lime zing and overly sweet straight out of a bottle/machine. The curtains in our room were nice but need to be reattached at the top as some end fixings looked a little untidy. We didnt eat in the dining room but feel it needs to be cosier. It didnt look very intimate. Shower head was a bit tricky to get it to face forward and not into the glass door. Also , It might be difficult for an elderly person to step into the bath to shower. Room would be better off with a walk in shower. ROOM 3009.

Location was perfect. large rooms great to relax in.

We booked a king size bed. Fantastic, but only queen size sheets and donnas are used. The big let down was the daily room cleaning. We stayed for 6 nights but the bed was only changed once. Rates are no cheaper for less service. The sheets were roughly pulled back into place and tucked in. I am sure management are saving a fortune by supplying the pump body wash, shampoo and conditioner as nobody would use them due to the revolting Davidson Plum scent. The soap dish was never cleaned. Used toiletries not replaced. Used cups and glasses were left in the room with no fresh replacements. A big thankyou to the cleaner on our last day who did her job well.

The hotel is a hidden gem in the midst of Canberra. It’s very welcoming immediately you enter and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The lounge dining and bar area are beautifully appointed and you feel like you’re home or staying with a large family or group of friends. The rooms look down into a central atrium which makes for a lovely atmosphere. The food is amazing. It is very reasonably priced. Because it is so central and near the railway station and bus stops, it’s very easy to get around Canberra without having to use a cab or Uber. However, if you want to use those Services, they are readily available and arrive very quickly. The beds and rooms a very comfortable. Having a Smeg coffee machine was a plus. I can highly recommend the Ramada Diplomat as a great place to stay and enjoy your visit to Canberra.

There was nothing I didn’t like, and I will definitely be staying again.

We had a fantastic stay at the Ramada by Wyndham Diplomat Canberra. What really made the stay for me was the staff. The staff were top-notch. Always obliging, incredibly helpful even though the hotel was fully booked out, they went above and beyond to assist. It wasn't just one staff member, but the staff as a whole. We stay at many hotels and the staff here are incredible - well done with providing a great service. In terms of hotel facilities, complimentary parking was great, the hotel had an old-world charm and very nice. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. We had free breakfast included. The food was good. We were in a rush one morning and the kitchen brought our food out really quickly. The hotel is central to everywhere without being in the hustle and bustle of mid-city. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Ramanda was an absolute stand out for us after touring around Victoria and ending in Canberra. Maybe were were just lucky that it was relatively quiet, with not many guests. The facilities and the decor of the room were beautiful, very "posh" and different to most places that we have previously stayed at, in a similar price bracket. The meals were also wonderful,,excellent value, and not the usual "pub grub". They have great meal deals, which you don't find out about until you get there. (I booked through Booking.Com, maybe it is advertised elsewhere). This is the first place that we have stayed at that offered an incentive of a free drink for opting out of the daily servicing... such a brilliant idea.

We had a minor issue with the seal on the sliding door to the balcony, which allowed traffic noise to get through. I reported this to hotel staff on check out, and they were happy to look into it.

A somewhat idiosyncratic design, with a central atrium and all floors ranged around, with the corridors overlooking the bar and restaurant area, a definite mid-century vibe but quite attractive. The rooms also have a distinctly vintage look, with dark wood and old-fashioned fittings in the bathroom but it feels well maintained and was certainly comfortable and very clean. Parking was easy, in a secure area under the hotel with direct access into the hotel. The hotel is very quiet and in an easily accessible location not far from the Manuka shopping area. Very good value.

All staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome. Water and lemon water are available in the foyer, along with lollies for guests. Free laundry facilities are available. The lobby/restaurant area always looks neat and smells good. I think this hotel has all the essentials, but the room needs freshening up.

-The room is dated and needs repainting to look like the photos. -The low ceilings make it feel a bit stuffy. We were on the ground floor; there is a window facing the road, but it was very dirty, so we did not open it. - The car entrance to the hotel i think should be swapped with the exit, even the taxi drivers find them confusing..

Very nice and comfortable hotel. My room was huge, included minibar/fridge, a coffee machine and slippers (among other amenities). Wifi was good, everything was clean, all the members of staff I met were very nice and helpful. The location was also good, in walking distance to the train station and several bus stops. Very good value for money.

The only thing I didn't like was that there was a tag in the bathroom saying you can help save water by indicating if you want your towels exchanged. But even though I didn't put any towels on the ground (indicating they need exchanging), the housekeeping still exchanged them. So it felt kinda pointless.

We had a room that faced a main road and it was a bit noisy but not unreasonably so. The mattress was great. It didn't bounce if one of us moved which made for a better night's sleep to other mattresses. We had dinner at the restaurant which was delicious. The staff were always very attentive and helpful.

The bin in the bathroom was almost inaccessible as it was wedged between the toilet and the side of the vanity, which meant it couldn't be opened much (a minor inconvenience for an overnight stay). The tissue box holder kept flapping when taking a tissue out and ripped one as the box was relatively full. The air-conditioner was okay but it took a while for the room to cool as the room was a northish-facing room and the curtains were open. It rattled for the first half-hour to hour but it then stopped.
