We stayed 2 nights at the de Russie in the Blanche suite with its own courtyard and thought everything was excellently presented and maintained. The suite was super clean with up to date amenities. The daily breakfast pack was a special feature. Bath robes, comfy bed, lovely linen, spacious bathroom with a great shower, well equipped kitchen etc etc - all wonderful. Staff welcoming and helpful. If there is to be one downfall, it’s the dining suite. Chairs are too low for the table. Location to the Main Street of Orange is excellent. A couple of minutes walk to a good IGA supermarket and all other businesses in the cbd. Popular wine bar, Ferment, is right opposite. Try some local wines and walk across the street!

Excellent location for sure, we loved our stay at De Russie as it was almost walkable to many things Orange has to offer. We loved the 2 bedroom apartment, it was very convenient for a family with two young boys. The morning brekkie pack is also super helpful if you don't feel like rushing to breakfast out. The beds are super comfy and spacous. The apartment has many essentilas that come very handy like the kitchen, micrwave, dishwasher, etc. Overall an excellent stay and we are definitly coming back to this place if ever in Orange.

Would love to stay again! Hotel was spotlessly clean and bed so comfortable. Kitchenette was so well appointed and had everything we needed. Complimentary breakfast pack was great and very appreciated. Location was brilliant! It was within a few minutes walking to restaurants/pub/wine bar/ shops. Very well decorated and staff were super friendly and had a lot of local knowledge - they had thought about everything needed to make a thoroughly enjoyable stay in Orange

Would have liked to stay longer

de Russie is centrally located within a short stroll to shops and lots of local eateries and bars. We were in a room on the first floor and although it was only a street back from the Main Street we found it to be very quiet. There is free parking on site which was a little tight whilst we were there but as noted on the website there is street parking available if the onsite parking is full. As noted by the other reviewers the complimentary breakfast bag of goodies including locally made ground coffee was well received although in saying that you are spoilt for choice for breakfast / brunch options within a few minutes walk of the hotel. The Byng Street Local Store and Raccine Bakery to name but a few.

If I had to pick one thing that I would say I wasn't a fan of it would be the shower over the bath. Although it didn't distract from our stay.

This is a stylish hotel and Orange, a classy town. Our one-bedroom suite was spacious and tastefully decorated, generously stocked with cookware, dinnerware, glasses etc., making it ideal for a longer stay. The parcel of breakfast goodies was a most welcomed bonus. The king bed was extremely comfortable, the bed linen high quality and there was a good choice of pillows. The bathroom was bright and airy. It is in easy walking distance to many restaurants, cafes and shops.

Absolutely nothing! This is an exceptional establishment with well trained and professional staff, providing top level service.

What a glorious stay in Orange! From Maggie at reception greeting us by name upon our arrival (we were the last to arrive so she laughingly told us, so knew, but it was still a special touch!), to her helping us work out exactly where we were with the map, and her advise on where to eat that night and what were the specialties - the pizza bases were exactly as she described and the recommendation to Spilt Milk gelato bar was heaven!! Reception is simply gorgeous, what a beautiful space! The rooms were exactly as described and perfect for our family, 2A and 2 teens, the teens being so happy that there were 2 single beds and they didn't have to share ha ha! King sized pillows, king sized super soft bath sheets, super generous and delicious breakfast bags which was a lovely touch including local produce and ground coffee for the plunger, everything was well thought out, executed and contribued to such a perfect and fun filled weekend! Thank you again, we'll be back!

Nothing ! However, not a dislike, more of a "tip", if you are a light sleeper bring earplugs, bottom floor rooms can hear rooms above (there was a family above us with a baby - been there done that so again not a dislike or complaint more of a 'tip' to fellow travellers!!), and the main road noise on Saturday can be loud.

The bed was really comfortable! I liked how there were two windows in our room as it was nice and bright in the morning when opening the blinds. I appreciated the breakfast bag and the fact that there was a small kitchen with small fridge, microwave, hotplate, toaster etc. The hotel was very close to the main street, restaurants and pubs. There was plenty of parking.

There was no storage in the bathroom apart from one shelf and I wasn't a fan of the glass basin.

We LOVED the breakfast pack each day, the bed, the decor, facilities all of it..great big fluffy towels and bath robes, all fabulous!!

The shower is in the bathtub and the side of the tub is quite high. My knees are shot, so I could not get into the tub without my husbands help because there is not a grab rail on the wall to assist with balance. So, quite hazardous for the likes of me and I would not have been able to shower without help. I made the staff aware of this on leaving and it is noted.

I have stayed at De Russie 3 times now and it is my go-to accommodation in Orange. It is a very well appointed boutique hotel with quality inclusions. The building is two-storey with a lift to the upper floor and very tastefully decorated. The rooms have a kitchen area and breakfast is provided. The beds are very comfortable with high quality linen and bedding. The staff are very accommodating and helpful. It is a 1 min walk to the main street and only a short walk to cafes and restaurants. Highly recommend staying at De Russie.

Breakfast bag contents were excellent. There was bread for toasting, high quality spreads, high quality cereals, pear and apricot juice bottles as well as tea and coffee, etc. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they even kept an eye on our caravan from time to time while it was parked in a public car park near by.

Not sure that there is anything to complain about without doing so for the sake of it. Overall it is a great place to stay with friendly and helpful staff who keep the place clean and in good condition.
