From the moment we arrived I cant thank the staff enough for making our stay amazing. We were just using Port Macquarie as a convenient stop off location on our road trip north but it did not disappoint. We arrived late, after 9pm but I had let reception know in advance. The lady (unfortunately I never caught your name) greeting me was exceptionally welcoming. So helpful with recommendations and points of interest. Arranged car parking quick and easy, plus we had an upgraded our room. We were offered a welcome drink and this particular individual has made a lasting impression we will never forget, thank you so much. We would definitely stay here again next time if we're in the area. The room was clean, functional and had all the facilities we needed. The TV options, with free movies and Netflix etc was a bonus. Bed/pillows ars surprisingly comfy with effective air con. A security box would have been a welcome addition as we had personal documents and valuables but everything felt safe and no issues. We didn't eat or use the pool, but location is perfect and close to plenty of nice cafes/food options.

Travelling on my own and previous bookings in other accomodation along the north coast did not feel safe or were not as comfortable as Mecure Centro.

I enjoyed every aspect of my stay.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I was phoned by a lovely lady prior to arrival to confirm my request of a wheelchair friendly room and I was informed I would be given a spare bed instead of a sofa bed which was lovely. Easy assessable parking right out the front. Very friendly gentleman checked me in and confirmed dinner reservations. The room was super clean, spacious and comfy. Great shower head and beautiful toiletries provided. The attached restaurant was amazing too.

The only thing I can mention is that with the shower unfortunately the water goes all over the bathroom floor as the curtains don’t stop it - it could be a sip hazard.

Easy parking friendly reception staff

Walking into the restaurant which is virtually empty. I was very early Just wanted a meal for one. I was asked did I book, no, I did not, middle of the week, terrible weather, so last minute decision to stay overnight incase we were flooded in overnight. To be told very abrupt: you should book incase we are booked out☹️. I was tempted to go, however, weather to bad. By the way, meal was excellent.

Room size was good. Bar downstairs, but cocktails finished at before 9pm, but very nice. Balcony.

No view, looked straight onto a roof that anyone could have walked over from the public car park next door so I couldn't leave the balcony door open for fresh air at night. If I had known, I would have happily paid more for a higher floor with better security. Also, I'm pretty sure occupancy was low, so unsure why we got given the worst room on the 2nd floor. I felt quite claustraphobic. B I I

Location excellent car park was a challenge but managed enjoyed in house bar with happy hour and enjoyed an excellent evening meal. Was great to be able to walk to the movies shops and restaurants waterfront locations

Was not happy with that I had to request for room to be cleaned not once but twice I appreciate it was a busy time but expect for pricing paid that daily room clean is a given.

Location, very close to the centre of town in walking distance. Also had the best hand wash, shampoo and conditioner and moisturiser available to use. And the way they were at the ready to use.

There was no small bottles of water in the fridge. As I’m a coffee drinker I didn’t like the coffee that was available the taste was not good, I don’t drink tea so the hot chocolate was my best choice.

Greet with a warm friendly welcome by the reception staff when we arrive. Our room was ready and very spacious, clean and tidy with ample amenities needed for the 2 nights we stayed.

A safe would have been useful for a hotel of this stature. It is good to feel secure when leaving valuables in a room so that you don’t need to carry them around with you.

-How space out the hotel was with the next room didn’t hear them one bit - How they agree on customers special request as it makes it all special - Had enough bathroom towels - Love the air con - Walking distance with everything - Love how the reception open till later at night - Staff are nice

- Bigger Refrigerator - wish car parks were a bit bigger - motorbikes should have their own parking as it took the whole ground floor in the car park - shouldn’t book in with the restaurant, should be able to walk in and take a seat - hard to pump out the bottles in the bathroom - bigger balcony - softer lounge

Clean and comfortable accomodation. Good location - close to shops and walking distance to the beaches. Friendly staff.

It would be nice if you could leave a jug of water in the fridge, as bathroom sink water isn’t always nice to drink. Also, we noticed that there was no wheelchair access to the pool - this needs to be more clearly advertised on the website.
