Everything, from the large rooms (booked one night, stayed a second night in a different room) single room had a spa bath integrated with the shower, second room had a larger bathroom space but no spa. Both rooms had a private balcony that allows smoking (It looks like all rooms have a balcony, some open, some semi enclosed) Outside the rooms is a lovely light filled eating/seating area with kitchen appliances for communal use and there is a 24 hr 7ELEVEn right next door. Train station is a 5-10 min walk and Bus stop right out front. Also secure gated parking. I enjoyed my stay.

Close to light rail and bus stops. Security parking. Place was clean and tidy. Friendly staff. Loved the planes flying directly over from taking off or landing. Clean place and loved the layout where you could sit and eat if you didn’t want to eat or relax in your room.

Rooms not completely soundproof. Had neighbours who were up most of the 2 nights they were their with the tv loud and they were loudly speaking while we were trying to sleep. Did not have daily housekeeping and had to ask for it to be done after day 4 otherwise they don’t do it. Had to continually ask for toilet paper and rubbish bags. I found that to be completely unacceptable considering we were staying for 10 days.

I’ve stayed at Garden Lodge 3 times in 3 different rooms, over the years. The rooms have always been clean. Yes it’s an older hotel so expect some slightly dated furniture but the staff are lovely, the shower pressure is perfect, the sheets were nice and I slept deeply. I highly recommended anyone staying there, I’ve stayed there with my children. It’s safe, if you have a car, they also have secure parking.

It’s a shame they don’t have breakfast in the little courtyard anymore. My kids always loved having cereal and toast there.

We stayed at Garden Lodge Sydney for one night while in town for a concert, and it was a great choice! The hotel offered excellent value for money and was conveniently located close to the concert venue, making it super easy to get to and from the event. Our room was clean and comfortable, providing a cozy space to relax after the show. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. If you're looking for an affordable, no-fuss stay in Sydney that's close to the action, Garden Lodge is a solid pick. We'd happily stay there again!

Parking can be limited when the hotel is full

The Lodge is better than it may appear, I was greeted vibrantly and efficiently, the Reception area is clean and had pamphlets for various things to do around Sydney, and some directions to nearest public transport which is not even 5 min walk. Room was secure all locks working and the room did not smell used. It smelt looked after. The room had 2 beds and both were ok for comfort, aircon worked well, all cups and kettle were clean and bathroom was very clean. Plenty of space in the room but i booked a twin room. No problems sleeping and their was a blanket on each bed + 1 extra. The location is near perfect, Public transport {Tram/bus} all a very short walk. Their is also Leichardt shops a little further but walking distance easy. The Price was Very Good and free parking which is hard to find. We felt things were secure and happy to leave car there. Remembering it is not super flash place it is affordable and convenient so keep that in mind. Am staying again soon with plans for some cycling around Sydney. Their is access to Microwave and some more Cutlery in middle forecourt which is very handy and useful. No microwave in room{ probably safety reasons} and a nice area to sit with waterfall. The lodge is Economical place to stay, but above most cheap places. Thanks for the stay.

We liked the convenience to Sydney’s CBD via the very close bus stop and close light rail stop and a 7-11 servo, next door. Our room was large and clean and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Also, the motel’s communal area was good as it had tables, chairs, lounges, a microwave, toaster, small oven, crockery and cutlery as well as the relaxing sound of water from the small pond which had beautiful goldfish!

As with many motels and hotels, nowadays, the fridges and their freezers are so small that one can’t freeze enough water bottles for your cold food and drinks in your esky.

We booked expecting a basic room with parking. We found a freshly renovated room in an amazing location with a good sized car park. The atrium/central space was beautiful, just disappointed we weren't there early enough on the night to really enjoy it. The provision of the extras (cutlery and crockery) in this space was also appreciated, you could prepare a simple meal or eat breakfast outside of the room. Staff were on the phone within minutes of making the booking to confirm arrival time and nothing was too hard, they had even turned on the AC to heat the room for us. Close to public transport to the city which I would have loved to try out.

The bathroom had a few black marks in the corners, nothing majorly concerning though

Location was convenient

I chose the hotel because the photos showed outdoor parking as we were travelling in a four wheel drive. When we arrived there was a low entrance to the parking area so we could not access the area. Fortunately there was 2 parking spots available at the front so we were able to park in one of those. This lack of access was not obvious when we booked and if the front parking spots were full we would have had problems.

The staff was forthcoming with our request for a room of our preference. The location was so close to the Taverners Hill light rail station that could take us to the city and eateries that suit our needs. The staff was helpful showing us the easiest way to reach the light rail station. The room was cosy and clean making us feel welcoming and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. There was little noise during the night.

The hotel would be better accommodating guest with cars as soon as the current renewal of the driveway is completed. It wold makes the hotel morfe visible to be recognised from the main road. It appears that the management is trying hard to enhance the convenience for guest access to the facility facing the busy Paramatta Road.

Easy to get in and out, good security we felt safe. Nice clean courtyard area. Staff were always ready to help. Comfortable beds. Nice sheets. Nice updated facade on street side of building. A nice sense of privacy.

Had to ask for room to be made up, not sure if that’s a given service or not (maybe my fault for not checking). There was no breakfast or tea and coffee available in the courtyard as per the photos on the website. Low water pressure in shower. A few cheezels under the bed that weren’t ours.
