This property is exceptional. The units are individually owned so there are variations but generally very good. Air conditioned with ceiling fans. Washing machines and dryers. We stayed in 49 and 44 and were happy with both. Fabulous views, lovely staff, great location, exceptional outdoor facilities including heated pool, spa, children’s pool, full size tennis court and mini putt putt course which my children loved! Great covered gas BBQ areas with plenty of seating. Good Vietnamese restaurant very close by and Alexandra Headland Surf Club over the road with pedestrian crossing lights right at the door of the apartments. Very good food there too. Coles Mooloolaba five minutes up the road. Cleaning is first class, quality linen. On site free parking. Property manager Cathy and receptionist Ruby were a pleasure to deal with. Onsite caretakers also very helpful.

No guest parking onsite but surf club has parking over the road. The single beds in unit 44 have passed their use by date and need replacing. The QS bed in master bedroom was super comfy by comparison. Not much to not like about this property. Some units in various stages of renovation so ask if you prefer something fresher.

The Location was excellent & pool. Spotless inside. BUT our Apartment P56 . The view was amazing. The owner needs to really revamp the whole apartment. Very old. . The shower doors were broken, the furniture was very shabby & broken bits on cupboard's & bedroom drawers knobs fell off! We loved the size of apartment just so disappointed that it was badly in need of decorating. We will be returning again next September & staying at Mandolin Resort. Would love the same P56 for the view & size. The surf club opposite was great food great. Our Granddaughter took Surf lessons each morning so perfect just crossed over to the surf club & beach. Eating places all around the area. Fabulous location. Staff were lovely and car parking under neath the Apartment was perfect. Loved Mooloolaba.

Nothing really just disappointed in the condition of our apartment. Apart from that everything was magical at the Mandolin Resort.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Mandolin Resort in Alexandra Headlands! The strategic position of the resort is unbeatable – right across from the beach and within walking distance to cafes, shops, and local attractions. The ocean view from our apartment was simply breathtaking – the perfect way to start and end each day. The resort offers fantastic amenities including a relaxing spa, a beautifully maintained swimming pool, secure entry, and plenty of parking, which made us feel safe and comfortable throughout our stay. The apartment was well equipped with everything we needed, spacious, clean, and modern – truly a home away from home. And to top it off, it was all offered at a fabulous price! Highly recommend Mandolin Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and convenient coastal getaway. We'll definitely be back!

hair dryer..my personal "problem"

We stayed in one of the two bedroom apartments. It was a beautiful view, the rooms were very nice with comfortable beds. Good sized apartment with lounge/dinning/kitchen. In better weather it would have been great to sit on the balcony and watch the ocean. Loved the double shower and having access to washer/dryer. Perfect spot for families with a small games room, 2 pools and beach location opposite the surf club. The staff were absolutely wonderful. We would definitely stay again.

The kitchen cookware is extremely dated. If you're looking to eat in cooking may be difficult with what's available in the kitchen. TV's are also dated and had some problems, staff did offer to help solve the issue but we don't watch much TV so it didn't bother us at all.

The apartment was pretty well equipped with all the necessary items. Excellent location, right across from the surf club and extensive walkway. The caretakers of the building premises were wonderfully helpful, friendly, and lovely people. Our apartment was on the second floor and had a great outlook over the pool area and beach views.

We stayed in apartment No. 11, and although the views were amazing, the apartment could have done with a better clean overall. We noticed crumbs and dust under the sofa and general areas with grime and cobwebs. The wardrobes had junk in them and broken hangers of no use, and there was rubbish and filth down the side of the washing machine. The dryer also did not work, and it would have been helpful if there were basic instructions for the washing machine use as it is not one we were familiar with. One major issue we had with the apartment was the tiny little step ups into both bathrooms. We caught our toes on these several times, which was not pleasant.

The view was magnificent and it was very clean.

The entry instructions did not work and we waited after phoning at least 15 minutes for a staff member to come to rectify the matter. We did not appreciate her off hand apology about the keys getting stuck. We have a disabled son who does not deal well with situations that do not go to plan. The bed in the main bedroom was too high for the short lady to get onto. There was no Instruction Manual in the unit which would have helped to work the television easily.

We stayed in room 56 for 4 nights at the end of May. We came here for a sporting tournament. Mandolin property is dated but that's in-line with many other short stay properties around Alex Head and Maroochydore. On that basis and taking into account Mandolin is rated 3 stars, this was a great property because of its location directly across from Alex Head Surfs Club and the beach. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed in it. The apartment was clean and beds were comfortable. The washing machine and dryer located in our bathroom were crucial for our circumstances. The view was fantastic. Also good to have a secured underground parking. The value for money is also a big plus. We'll definitely book this room again for next year's tournament.

The kitchen appliances and utensils were very dated, some are not usable. The TV remote was falling apart. Just small and minor updates would be great.

It was a very comfortable Unit. The view was excellent. The beds were clean and we all had a good sleep. It was close to eating facilities.

There were no tissues. I did not book using the phone and there was no one on the desk and I had to phone to get the code for the lock box, and to give you my identity. You have to expect that older people like to be met. We are all not great using the phone or computer.

2nd floor room looking directly at the Surf Club. I thought we might be kept awake being so close to the road but it was fine. Not much of a view from this level. If you are after a view then ask to be put higher. We didn't mind as we weren't there for the view. If you are in Alex Heads for a surf carnival at the surf club then definitely can't fault Mandolin.

Air conditioning was only in the lounge room and wasn't effective at keeping the bedrooms cool, even leaving it on all day every day. Thankfully there were fans in the bedrooms but another unit in the bedrooms would have been better. There was an issue with the water on one of our afternoons. We had to wait for the manager to arrive back on site to sort it. It was probably 30 minutes before we had water again. The fact that the manager knew what was wrong indicates there is an ongoing issue and it should be rectified so it doesn't re-occur.

apartment was so spacious, we were expecting a small 1 bedroom room, but walked into a large 2 bedroom apartment. So much space & storage and a balcony looking towards the beach.

the bed was a little uncomfortable someone had parked in a our park so we had to call to see where we could park, then received a nasty note from someone asking to move our car. We ran out of toilet paper too when we called at 2pm on Sunday we got an after hours voice message
