Clean, simple check-in process, good amenities provided. The hotel even provided a free drink for each person, at the bar below. That said, despite checking in on a Saturday night, having both a pokie bar and even a heavy metal band playing, literally below me, the soundproofing was impressive! The band did stop somewhere between 11-11:30pm, so it wasn't too bad. It was more like a dull music below until that time.

There is free parking provided. I feel they didn't explain the easiest steps well enough on how to arrive there. Took me an extra 10-15 minutes to drive around and figure out the traffic laws and the best approach. Google makes it a little difficult, too. Approach from S. Bound Ipswitch Road and enter the BWS bottle shop entrance or the entrance just after. From there, you can drive under the building (for free) and park in the lot behind the building. Google can sometimes make it difficult on how to get there best.

Location was great as our son lives 600 meters away so we were able to walk to him. Also the dining options were within walking distance. The complimentary breakfast pack was a great little treat, and if we wanted more, the Vietnamese cafe on the corner offer great coffee, food and service! We will definitely stay again.

I felt the room was small, but as we were out most of the day, it wasn’t a big issue for us as a couple.

Super friendly, attentive staff. Considering it's above a pub, the room was quiet. Lots of space in the room. Great facilities.

Wasn't given the wifi password at check in, it wasn't in the room and unable to find it electronically. By the time we got back from dinner, it was too late to call reception. Problems with hot water, but we fixed it. Open air carpark with no security.

Free carpark and it was a big carpark located at the back of the building. Liked the security access to the rooms via your room swipe card only. Room was nicely renovated which you wouldn't have known due to the old pub that it's located in. I was glad staff member mentioned that rooms were renovated as I was a little hesitant when I saw that it was inside a pub. Room was clean and spacious which was great. Bed was really comfortable & also having x4 comfortable pillows was lovely. Bathroom was quite spacious too. Loved the rainforest shower & the little shelf to place body wash etc. Also like that the toilet was situated at one end of the bathroom & the shower at the other end. Sink/cupboard area in the middle which was good. Nice, spacious desk to work at. Location was good which was convenient to where I needed to go the next day.

Note, no lift just stairs for those who maybe older or on their own & may not be able to walk up the stairs with their luggage. I had x2 luggage bags so had 2 flights of stairs to go up, one to enter the building from the carpark & stairs going up to the rooms which was fine with me as it was good exercise so I didn't mind. No biggie as I only stayed for one night but the TV channels had no signal so couldn't watch programmes but all good.

I spent Friday (17/11/23) and Saturday in a single queen room and let me tell you, this will now my new go to accommodation when I'm visiting Brisbane. Hotel, bar and security staff were all incredibly kind and helpful from transport tips to just general conversation. The security guard that was on night duty was an absolute hoot to talk too. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

Location was a bit awkward and being on a main road is a bit noisy during the day but both were easily manageable. I didn't find the pub itself noisy either. Even with a Christmas event downstairs on Saturday but I appreciated the heads up when checking in.

The place was very clean. The facilities were good. Nice and cozy place. We were allowed to keep our luggage since we arrived before the check-in time. The rates are better than most of the hotels in and around the area.

A Lift for sure. When you check in and check out with luggage, climbing up and down the stairs could be a task. Having said that, it's just a one-time thing so it's fine. If there was a lift, it would have been a sure 10/10 :)

Very friendly staff and easy walking distance to supermarket and multiple food options. The room was clean and comfortable, just as advertised.

The hotel doesn't look promising from the outside, especially since reception is accessed through the pub smoking room. There is a ramp outside, but rooms are upstairs which isn't ideal if you have heavy luggage. Housekeeping were quite noisy, often as early as 7am (though cheerful and friendly!). My room had an odd layout, with 2 beds (a queen and a single) but only one chair. The lighting arrangement with one bright strip down the whole room or a spotlight above one of the beds would not be ideal for parents with children as there is no way to have light to make a cuppa without brightening the whole room (as bathroom light is connected to noisy extractor fan).

This hotel is a gem. The accommodation is brilliant: spacious, comfortable, with an amazing shower and super comfortable bed - and fast internet. Also free parking at the rear. A wonderful find! The accommodation manager is an outstanding person: a first rate professional, she also acted as counsellor in my case when I arrived feeling most unwell and with a limp from a fall. Nothing was too much trouble. She deserves a bonus! The cleaning staff and night staff also went beyond the call of duty. One young cleaner lent me the charger for her iPhone to recharge mine when I found I'd left my charger behind. Can't get better service than that

Good location, price and bedroom. Great price compared to other alternatives. Friendly staff and great cleaning services. It is located on the 3rd floor over a sporting bar, quite an Australian experience. May no be a good choice for families with children.

The fridge was noisy, so we unplugged it at night.

Staff were absolutely amazing, welcoming & genuinely nice! carried my case up. Bed was very comfy & no noise from the road at all. Food at the restaurant next down was also outstanding!

No lift, had to leave really early & ended up pulling the ligaments in my arm trying to get my case downstairs.
