Loved the resort, great value for money, the pools were awesome, kids loved the water slide. Staff were great. Loved the cave spa, such an awesome place. Bar was good, food was good. They also made the beds daily, changed towels and replenished tea, coffee and milk daily which was really great. Close to the airport, neighbourhood seemed nice, ample parking.

Our room had a problem in the bathroom that smelled like sewerage. They tried for 3 days to fix it, but it still really smelled bad. They never once offered to change our room, so we just had to put up with the sewerage smell for 5 nights. So we loved the resort but really hated our room, and each night we got back to the room, it was like...omg forgot how bad this really is.

I wanted to stay for one night after reading the good reviews. It really is perfect for families or those on a budget- with a car. I was a solo traveller but knew it was a bit far from the main centre. The staff were very welcoming. I used the pool with a pool bar which was be beautiful. My room was spotless and smelt lovely. I had dinner there which was very nice and enjoyed my cocktail. I had a very enjoyable stay there.

Complex was dated but very well maintained.

The resort was amazing. The staff very friendly. The place was great for children.

The only thing might change would be having a few extra bats and balls for the ping-pong table. Maybe even another table at another pool area.

We loved the pools and the landscaping is so lovely, lots of birds and the bats come out of an evening which is nice to watch. The room facilities were pretty good, and it was handy having two restaurants on site.

Unfortunately the wifi was so slow we couldn’t use it. It may have been the location of our room. Also it was a shame that a lot of guests left their dirty towels, drink glasses from the bar and rubbish lying around the pool area after they had left. However, this is not the fault of the resort and staff were always around working hard. Also no shade umbrella’s by the pools.

Staff at reception and throughout the resort and welcoming and very friendly. The pools were amazing and the food was very well priced. Rooms were very clean and made up every day with fresh towels left for us. Would definitely stay here again.

If I have to be really picky the main pool was closed off for maintenance twice and the water slide didn't work for the first few days we were there. People were constantly dangerously jumping into the pools off the rocks despite small children being in there too - security were called but did nothing of significance to stop this. Shower didn't have a full shower screen so water went through the bathroom.

I wasn’t happy with the first room we got, the maintenance guy said it was next on the list for Reno’s- it really needed to be renovated it was awful, I went and talked to reception who were more than happy and accommodating to change our room, we got put in a renovated room and it was stunning! Couldn’t fault it at all! Karen at reception was so nice and professional. All of the staff were very friendly which you don’t see too often anymore! Bar, pool and all the facilities were awesome. Kids loved it. It’s now our new yearly extended family holiday location. I will be recommending to everyone!

The first room we were put in. Gave off Highway motel vibes

The place is great. Its super big and feels like a resort out of the movies. There are multiple pools that all were so different and had there out feature to them. One had a slide, one had a water cave, a kid side and a swim up bar (which was not open when we were there) and one was small but a bit more secluded. We booked the 4 twin beds Studio QUAD Room (Kitchenette) which was actually pretty spacious for four people and I would recommend. There was a table and the kitchen was stacked with a bunch of utilities that we were able to use to cook our food (If you do cook please open the door and put on the fan). The resort is close to the airport which was about a 15 min car ride. If the bus comes on time, its about a 15 minute ride to the central. Overall great stay!

If you don't have car and don't want to take a uber you have to take the bus, which is not that far. However the bus is very inconsistent so you may be waiting for a while which sucks when you plan something time depended. The pools were unusually warm which is not that ideal when the weather is hot and you want a cool dip in the pool. I'm not sure if its due to the hot weather though. This place is big so if you have a lot of luggage you have to walk with that if you are in the bigger rooms in the back.

The pools towards the back of the resort need to be checked more frequently. I had to go to the desk to let them know there were drunk adults in there with children being extremely loud and also pool lounges going in the water. Not enough supervision from the adults with young children especially with alcohol in their systems. I was extremely concerned as i saw other families walk away with their children due to this behaviour. I am a trained lifeguard and run my own swim centre so fully aware of what was going to be a dangerous situation. Staff did take my concerns seriously luckily. I hope this is now supervised more regularly by security or someone trained to identify these things.

Cairns colonial club is a one-stop shop. It had all amenities on site, if you didnt want to leave the premises you dont have to. The premisesare clean and well maintained and are able to walk between the pools and resturants with no problem. The colonial club have reslly nice walk ways that if youbhave a pram or wheelchair you are still able to navigate the walking paths.. If you want to explore the colonial club is fairly central to cairns so it is possible to explore cairns easily. The colonial club resort is pure heaven and the staff are so lovely. The resort is super family friendly. There are 4 options for pools and mini golf and cart hire it really is a lovely holiday spot.

I didnt like having to leave to go home, it really is that good.

Location was outside cairns and a nice distance from the town . Nice area for walks and safe .we had hired a car, and the location was very accessible for touring. efficient staff and very clean Food and drinks served at the location . Enjoyed our stay. Thank you to Damien for his recommendations on seeing the great barrier reef. we highly recommend visiting a spectacular place and many other hot spots to visit in the surrounding areas

It is a very busy resort, if you are spending alot of time onsite be prepared to be up early.
