Joshua was very obluging and understanding when we told him about a bad experience with a previous hotel which is why we drove 1 hr from a horrible accommodation to the Commercial Hotel. He was very polite and horrified of our previous experience. I think he does it for all guests but giving us drinks and food vouchers made us feel very humble. The room was great, clean and very quiet. Positives: the bed was oh so soft but the pillows were firm. Negatives: We always like to leave a light on in the bathroom to illuminate the bathroom for when we have to get up. Unfortunately, like in most hotels/motels the fan also runs with the light switch. This means that people can't get any sleep.

The bed, although nice and comfy, was way too soft. There was no lift up to the accommodation so we had to lug all out bags up a flight of stairs.

Honestly had my doubts during check in but when we got to our rooms, I was impressed. Booked the family room, I thought it was just big in photos but I was so wrong. Exactly how it’s pictured, so spacious. I had even booked a separate studio because I didn’t think we’d all fit. We didn’t get to use the drink vouchers or take advantage of the discounted dining but even that is a bonus. Location is also not too bad or far from a lot of things if driving a car.

Cockroach in the bathroom. One of the pillows kind of smelt like it hadn’t been washed or replaced in a long time, smelt like someone’s sweat after a long night.

We loved everything about Nightcap at Commercial. The staff were really friendly, we received a complimentary welcome drink on arrival and10% off our meals. The bed was comfy, the room was quiet, and the shower was fantastic. We were staying there because of its proximity to KDV sports where a group of us were competing in a pickleball tournament. It's literally 5 minutes away. We will be back same time next year.

The check-in instructions were not clear. In fact, they were quite confusing. Luckily, we arrived when the hotel was open, so we went onto the bar and asked. A very friendly staff member explained the process and checked us in.

The commercial hotel staff were professional and friendly. The rooms were beautiful. Aircon was cold. Convenient to shops. You don't have to go anywhere for food. Great menu and good seniors menu and kids as well with the rest of the age groups. We had about 8 minutes of noise where people close by were moving things and talking loud. The motel took care of it and sweet rest. We highly recommend this hotel.

That we didn't have to check out early but needed to because of our church service we were going too.

This is a hidden gem. I was very surprised that rooms above a restaurant/ pub would be so quiet. There was no noise interference from downstairs at all. The restaurant was handy for dinner and there was a cafe down the street that served incredible breakfasts. The staff were fantastic, check in was quick and painless. The room was spotlessly clean. I would definitely stay here again.

The tea and coffee (and biscuits) were not replenished. Not a huge deal but it would have been nice.

The room was SO clean, air con nice and cold when we arrived, free bottles of water in the fridge and a drink voucher for the pub downstairs on arrival, comfortable beds, nice shower and the ease of access to hotel/pub restaurant downstairs. Was worried it would be noisy but the rooms were so soundproof we didn't hear a thing. Friendly reception staff met us on arrival and check out process was simply dropping keys in a box. Park across the road for little ones and petrol station and other food stores nearby as well.

What a pleasant surprrise, this venue had extra large rooms for families with the most comfortable beds. large modern bathroom with a nice hot shower. Such value for money, I did not expect the rooms to be so great for the price. Would 100 percent stay again. Even better you can get a meal downstairs at the bistro, was very needed after our long trip to not need to go anywhere else.

No complaints, things were great.

The staff who greeted us were lovely. The location is close enough to the beach and restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised to receive complimentary drinks with our booking. The room was very quiet despite the hotel being situated on a busy road and accommodation above the pokies.

The view of the busy road from our room and value for money could be improved but overall a good spot for a weekend stay.

The room was very comfortable and very quiet. We were able to make tea and coffee, which is always a bonus. The free drink offered was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

Our only concern was that it would have been good to have had a ramp outside instead of the steps. We managed our suitcases on the interior stairs, but did expect a ramp outside.

People were very friendly and helpful. I loved the included drink vouchers.

It took a long time for the hot water to come through in the shower. The bed was comfortable but different for me. The TV streaming kept dropping out.
