We had a 2 bedroom apartment which was a good size and worked well for our family of 5. Good location, easy parking, great heated pool which the kids loved, and the gardens were closely attended to and looked immaculate. No problems with the wi-fi and casting from my phone to the tv.

There were only 4 sofa seats which meant the kids argued every day about this because there were 5 of us. Very dated furniture but all made to last, so would have been better if more modern but really didn't matter when we got used to it. We were on the 2nd floor so had no view of the beach or the sea, which we were disappointed about.

The location is fabulous. Far enough away from the shops and restaurants to be relatively quiet, but close enough to walk to anything you need. The beaches of course can’t be beaten. The ocean view is great, although those higher than above the second floor would have a stunning view. Kitchen set up was good, with ample crockery, glasses etc

The apartment we stayed in was very 80’s and outdated. The bathroom in particular needed some revamping- even a new blind that wasn’t mouldy, and a touch up of paint would help. A key lock in the car park would be great, so that when you depart at the end of your holiday, one doesn’t need to find a park to then return the keys with the fob on it.

We loved the pool and swam from early morning to evening. The apartment was on a great level too with amazing views. We were there during the upgrades and the reception told us early which was great too.

The kitchen could do with a little More final touches to accommodate for longer stays. Also we were only given one towel each. Not sufficient for a 7 day stay. Also the lack of dishwasher powder and laundry detergent was disappointing.

The unit was in a great location with an easy walk to most facilities. The washing machine and dryer was a bonus.

The unit (privately owned but managed by Southetn Cross Apts) was showing its age and had quite a few broken or damaged fittings. Although it gets a basic clean before each new guest, it really needed a thorough clean (we found rubbish and clothing between the couches. Under the beds were filthy).

Paid extra for an upgraded room, Superior grade, 2 bedroom, on 2nd day. 12th floor was modern and clean, super

Standard two bedroom, we booked , below quality expected as seen in photos and dirty. No tea or coffee available on arrival. Complained the next day to reception, Her attitude cool and unsympathetic. Needs a lesson in public relations or replacing.

Southern Cross Beachfront Apartments are located on the Esplanade in beautiful Burleigh Heads. We enjoyed an uninterrupted view of the beach from our spacious apartment of a week. It was well equipped with everything you might need.

The nearest shopping is more than a short walk away. A nearby 7-11 was handy for basic items.

Only on 2nd floor so not that great in views, did book superior 2 brm with ocean views. Workers were renovating above us and started 7am. No starter pack given when arrived although told when checking out we should of received.

Clean, spacious, fully equipped kitchen with washer and dryer, air conditioned (living room only), and the amazing beachfront view which we enjoyed every sunrise and sunset. Children love the heated pool, and jacuzzi. There is also a self-sufficient gym, table tennis and tennis courts available. Check in is fuss free, and staff is friendly.

Though the apartment is very clean, not a slight of dust, the furnishings are slightly dated, and the bathroom taps are leaking if not turned off tightly.

Location!

The unit we were in needs updating. Musky smell everytime we entered. Black mold on the curtains and ceiling in main bedroom. Toilet leaking, think it needs a new cistern.

Managers we very helpfull and cheery our room has great views and no highrises on the north side. we will stay here again master bedroom has big sliding doors overlooking the ocean

renos we being done but that could not be helped and we were warned well in advance.
