Room was comfortable. Location was beautiful. Facilities and comforts were all well thought out.

We were made to feel a little unwelcome by staff upon arrival.

Set amongst the lakes , the cabins had enough room between them to be be pretty private, the birds and wildlife were stunning, waking in the morning to the bird calls was beautiful,

If I had to complain about something,,, the front gate!! Being right on the corner and having to ring a phone number for it to open it caused a couple of traffic problems,,, until we worked out at how far up the road we could ring and have the gate open for us as we got there,,, (became a bit of a game)😁

Such a beautiful and peaceful place. Truly a hidden gem. Lovely to take early morning walks and watch the birds and turtles. I believe all cabins have a beautiful view. Also very conveniently located to Urangan beach and shopping centre. Excellently value for money. Also prompt response from host for any queries. Would book again if we travel.

There were lots of insects including mosquitoes in the room. Thankfully they remained stuck to walls and ceiling at the entrance hallway and did not disturb us. Did not get bitten by a single mosquito which was really good, however would be good if there was some way of keeping them out

Everything, especially the wildlife! Was amazing to see all the ducks and tortoises and bird species and we fed them every day. We even had a little snake on our porch. Owners was very friendly and we really enjoyed our stay. Both cabins had everything we needed.

Blankets just smelled a bit and the gas barbeque didn't work, luckily we had our own. There were no lights at the barbeque, we had to use our cellphone lights.

Could have been a lot cleaner. Microwave dirty. No bathmat, no face washers, red wine stains on carpets, no Dishwashing liquid and sink plug broken, but threathen extra $30 if didn't washup. Also $30 extra if you didn't remove your garbage... but all available bins were full. So we brought it home 😔 Very pretty outlook.. but smelly due to extensive birdlife and turtles in the lake... shame. Huge potential.

BBQ area did not have shelter but was very clean and good heat for cooking The decor was dated inside the cabin

The location and space around cabins fantastic. Loved the wildlife and gardens and lake aspects. Well set up family cabin and verandah. Very responsive and helpful managers. Value for money for a family. We booked another stay before we left. Can’t wait!

Lumpy old mattresses. Floor under the bed was filthy. A mop and bucket would have been handy for multiple day stays. Under couch cushions and chair fabric filthy. Better communication and instructions for the gate system could be provided in advance. Eg let guests know they will need a mobile phone with credit to open the entry gate and additional mobile numbers can also be used. Very noisy fridge that got very hot around the seals.

We loved having a little cabin by the water where the birds and turtles play. It was very peaceful and we were surrounded by nature. Feeding the possums was definitely a highlight of our weekend away although feeding the turtles was also delightful.

The cabin we stayed could use some maintenance and the bed was a bit too soft.

Good surroundings atmosphere because of the lakes.

The carpets in the room has lots of stains. When checked with the property manager- they were aware of these stains. Felt very uncomfortable about these. Also took photos of these stains before we went in the room in case they blamed us for those. The floor boards in the room especially the kitchen makes a lot of noise. Don't feel secure in case the floor boards drops. There could be a possibility that there are termites in the floor boards.

We had a very comfortable Cabin which overlooked the lake with all of its Bird Life and Turtles. We spent a lot of our time sitting on the Verandah just taking in the peace and Tranquility of the area and watching Mum and Dad Duck wandering around looking after their family of 13 Ducklings. The staff were very friendly and also very approachable. Sanctuary Lakes Fauna Retreat is also situated right next door to a Hotel has good quality meals at reasonable prices.

Nothing to dislike.
