The room was an awesome size, comfy and cosy, with plenty of amenities for the couple of days we stayed. A restaurant on site with amazing food, but...Close to everything we wanted to sightsee, near the Japanese gardens worth visiting.

Disappointed with the restaurant, the service was shockingly slow. I ordered my meal and the grandkids didn't want meals just desserts. My meal arrived and after half an hour I finished my meal and still no desserts for the kids, I asked where they were and the girl went to find out, we waited another 20 minutes before they arrived. No apology or explanation as to why. Also sitting on a verandah in Winter the heating was inadequate for the space especially when guests are sitting next to freezing cold glass windows. Doonas and protectors had stains hope housekeeping took notice of that, I left them visible.

We have stayed here previously and were very happy with the accommodation, but see later comments. The restaurant was great and the food/service also very good. Undercover parking was a bonus as we experienced inclement weather.

Unfortunately, our room was on the lower level, closer to Ruthven Street and hearing shot of trains departing. Train whistles started at 3 am and continued regularly until overtaken by the traffic noise early morning. We stopped two nights but it was worse the second night. Our room was No 27. Suggest staying on the upper level further away from noise intrusion.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in , the spa was exceptional... Perfect for two , comfortable bed , mini bar was great even though we didn't use it , Having the seasons restaurant onsite made this stay unbeatable, the food & cocktails where Devine with fast room service 🙌 staff where kind & understanding .... Thank You will be back , omg & the complimentarys where gorgeous, Epson Salts where included, & a lil kit that had hair ties , they have really thought of everything

No phone charger outlets , but that's small ... One way tinted windows would of been nice to really enjoy the massive windows that surround the spa bath , need to have blinds closed ... But again for the price I'm definitely not complaining

Parking spot right in front of the room. Pool onsite. WiFi was great as was the free access to netflix and prime etc. Location was good, room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Price of one night stay including room service breakfast was reasonably priced for peak season. The breakfast carefully delivered to us by a friendly face, was good. Food was fresh and tasty as was the coffee. Did not have dinner at the in house restaurant but it looked good and seemed popular.

Nothing to complain about. Just improvements - two people from our party in another room, said they received their breakfast as ordered but their hot food was lukewarm by the time it was delivered to their room. And I felt that the check-in experience felt clinical, this could be a negative for some looking for a small town feeling, friendly face at reception.

The accommodation is situated in a prime spot, making it convenient for exploring the city and accessing nearby attractions. The property is easy to get to and navigate, with all necessary facilities close at hand. The room was clean and a comfortable space to relax. The staff were friendly and communicated clearly, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. Breakfast was delivered directly to the room, arriving exactly on time and adding convenience to the stay.

While the room was clean, the accommodation showed signs of age, particularly the bathroom, which could benefit from modernisation. The shower featured old-fashioned separate taps for hot and cold water, making temperature adjustment inconvenient. The toilet seat was flimsy and the flush was quite loud, which was a bit disruptive. The parking near our room was tight, and laundry bags were left outside, further reducing space.

Close to facilities we required

Not a compliment but an observation. We’ve been doing a lot of travel this year & expecting to do a lot more next year, in fact, we’ve booked the Ambassador Motel early 2025. Some Motels do not have bottles of water in the fridges, but the ones that do have, without exception, and, for this year we’ve noticed, have offered them free of charge to their guests. The Ambassador Motel is the only Motel that we’ve been charged for water this year. Not only charged, but the price is $4 for a 600ml bottle which the Supermarkets sell for approximately 40 cents each if you buy a 24 pack. May pay for management to reconsider this fee. Keith

Very quiet and good location for what we were doing. Well set out with everything we needed. Great water pressure in the shower (but this leads to the only thing we didn’t like).

Only fault was shower area. Fine for a small person, but because my husband is over 6ft, the water went everywhere, which swamped the foot mat, the floor, and therefore the towels had to be changed every time he had a shower. A simple hinged or sliding door would have fixed the problem.

We have stayed here many times over the past four or so, years. Always meets our accommodation requirements.Equiped with microwave and toaster, which is convenient. Usually have breakfast but did not this time. We had a room with spa ,which was spacious and room seemed to have been newly renovated.

Usually go to the restaurant on nights we are staying. Only visited once on first night.Menu is unchanged over a long period, which may be a seasonal thing. Not up to standard for a restaurant of this calibre. Ambience and staff great. Food quality and presentations very ordinary. Perhaps just a bad night. They were very busy but a 90minutes wait for our first course,after travelling all day, didn’t impress. Rarely do I write negative reviews but I have to be honest.

The room was really clean and comfortable and had everything you could possibly need. The spa bath was really nice also. Having the restaurant on site for dinner and a hot breakfast was great. We didn't have to go too far in 2 degree temperatures.

The shower taps are really hard to regulate, i.e.. you get either cold or hot, not warm to shower in. It also leaked badly all over the floor in front of the toilet, which we had to clean up to be able to use the toilet. Other than this, all was great.

I wish the car park could fit 2.3m, there were a few open jeight parks at entrance but no signage to say what max height was for the room parking. DRiveway way easy to reverse out. Automatic exit gate would be beneficial for those who can't turn around because of height and being a 4wd
