The location is ideal on one side of Rundle Mall and is quiet at night as pubs and restaurants are on the other side of Rundle Mall. 8 minute walk from the Adelaide Convention Centre and railway station - Adelaide CBD is small and easily walkable anyway. The room was very spacious with queen bed, dining table, couch, TV/TV stand and a study desk, and the kitchen had plates, cutlery, tea cups, glasses, stove (which I didn't use), kettle, microwave and fridge. The mattress and bedding were comfortable. The room I stayed in had an air conditioning unit beside the bed. Lots of wardrobe space. Bathroom was clean and reasonably sided. Washing machine and dryer available on upper floor, but require four $1 coins to operate each. There is a Mr Suds laundromat about 3 minutes walk away if you have larger loads or don't have coins.

Where do I start? I was a little nervous when I pulled up out the front, but Kevin quickly changed my initial opinion. He ran straight out to the car with the parking FOB, took my bags so that I wouldnt have to drag them back from the parking area. Once inside, i was quite surprised, the room was beautiful. Tastefully decorated and had everthing I needed. The bed was very comfortable....just like Goldilocks. So much so that, on the second night after having worked about 36 hours of the previous 48, i lied on the bed to check my phone at about 10pm before going on to do some more paperwork, and BOOM, just like that it was 7:30am....never moved, not even an eyelash. Its conveniently located to shops and restaurants. Last but not least its very, very secure in the evening when the front desk isnt open. FOB in for front gate, then front door and then elevator. Mansions is now definitely my go to when travelling for business to Adelaide

The wifi was sketchy, which is difficult when you are travelling for work.

John & Richard were excellent hosts. Apartment had been fitted out beautifully and was spotless. Location was awesome given its proximity to North Terrace and Rundle Mall and ready access to trains & buses. Major attractions within easy walking distance

As a light sleeper any 'unexpected' noise will wake me but I will generally fall asleep again easily if I can make sense of the origin of the noise. Our apartment was at the back of the building facing a multi-storey car park and a service street so you will get some unwelcome noises on occasions - particularly bin collection nights. Despite this, we would definitely stay again but would ask for a unit front of building facing Pulteney Street - and pack my ear plugs - just in case!

Location was perfect - right in the middle of town and near shops, pubs and bars and good dining. Hotel is comfortable and room was spacious with good facilities. Parking across the road was ideal. Hotel itself is very old but has been refurbished at some point so a very pleasant stay.

Reception was unmanned during our stay over a long weekend and the room was not serviced so running out of supplies of soap and toilet paper etc was a bit inconvenient. Also due to this an issue with the TV was not able to be sorted until after our departure. I wouldn't say this detracted from the appeal of the apartment just something to note.

From checking into Mansions, Kevin was very approachable and accommodated our requests. Our room exceeded our expectations - the only drawback was a bit of early morning noise with a street sweeper but that didn't last overly long plus the occasional ambulance with sirens. The outside road was a main thoroughfare so a bit of noise was expected. We loved the Art Deco feel to the apartment and the layout and fittings were exceptional. We were located about in the centre of the block between Rundle Mall and North Terrace so such easy walking distance to anything we might need - transport or shopping. Two stops on the tram to the Adelaide Railway Station which was very handy.

The only drawback really was that we had to carry our heavy suitcases down a short flight of stairs but Kevin had volunteered to help us if needed (we're in our 70's). We did manage with the bags. As stated above, the early morning noise was our only drawback but it didn't interfere with our loving our stay.

I was in town for two conferences, Mansions was an ideal location to access the conference centre and all that central Adelaide offers in very easy walking distance. Shops, cafes, eateries and attractions were all really close by. The apartment was spacious, well kitted, clean and comfortable. Ideal for a longer stay. The staff were really helpful and welcoming.

My stay was in winter, so I expected it to be colder but the AC/heating unit was pretty much useless, it made a lot of noise, was behind curtains in a bay window and did not actually heat the apartment. I had to wear a down jacket in the evenings, not ideal. Fix this and the place is just great.

The location is excellent - esp. if you have business at University of Adelaide or South Australia Uni. Everything is nearby, walking distance. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The bathroom was a bit old but clean and shower had hot water and good pressure. Full and well-equipped kitchen.

My only complaint is that the internet service was spotty to non-existent. Maybe it was my room location but I had a lot of trouble consistently connecting. I had options at the uni so I didn't pursue it while I was there, although I'm sure they would have tried to help because they were very helpful all around. This is an older property but it has everything one needs as a place to work and sleep and cook as needed.

The female receptionist, in particular, was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Management was outstanding, attending to every detail. Spacious & exceptionally clean & comfortable. The kitchen had everything I needed for a few days in the city, it certainly helped cut down the food expenses as Woolies & Coles are both only 5mins away. An extra blanket made all the difference as it was cooler while I was there. All the furniture was so comfortable & glass tops on the table tops took away the fear of an accidental scratch or mark. It is such a great location within the city, so close to bus & tram stops but also within walking distance of so many attractions, venues, shops & eateries. I loved the level of security provided with key fob requirements for entering the building, as a solo lady traveller that was an important aspect. The staff were so friendly & accommodating, Kevin made sure I had clear instructions for my late check-in & provided all the numbers should I run into difficulties. Without doubt I would stay there again.

It was a little cold in the bedroom & with only single pane windows some of the outside traffic noise was very audible (mostly in the earlier hours of the morning).

I wasn't aware you had to pay for parking - my mistake but I would have liked this to have been made more transparent - at $25 day this was an additional expense I didn't need.
