It's a lovely hotel, well worth the stay. I loved their dog, what a lovely thing, to take this dog and have him in the hotel. I'm not a real dog fan but he was an utter gentleman and didn't bother anyone. Lovely outlook and staying in the silo is a great experience. Comfy bed and it was very clean.
I would have liked to just be able to get a very plain breakfast in the cafe. I don't eat a bigger breakfast so it would have been nice to just get a piece of toast. It's not within walking distance to any other restaurants but that will probably change in time.

The room was lovely and comfortable. Was disappointed on my room view at check in,but manger was very kind and took the time to explain the view options and unfortunately couldn't change room due to a full house, very kindly gave us a complimentary breakfast the next day which was lovely! When I saw him the next day he wanted to make sure all was good, which is was-Thank you!
Was disappointment with the view of the car park,as I had booked a river view, but the reception member told me the room was correct and my room was classed as "Tamar River View". If you wish for the Silo side make sure you book "The Gorge View",not so clear on website when booking.

It was nice to be able to choose a breakfast dish from the menu, and the option to pack it for takeaway was very helpful. The only downside was that I had to remind the staff about my order, as no one seemed to be tracking the missing items. A 24h gym - a very nice option (even though, I haven't used it but at leats had an option to use whenever I want :)) Overall, it was a great experience, very comfortable beds and a pleasant, modern room.
There was no swimming pool or sauna at the hotel. The hotel is adjacent to a parking lot. During the night, there was an incident in the parking area that caused significant noise for some time, leading to inconvenience and disrupting sleep.

- Location was fantastic- right next door to Riverbend Park for my three-year old. Easy walk into Launceston CBD, close to the Tamar River Cruise. - Stayed in a 2 bedroom connected suite- it was modern, clean and very spacious. They had already set up the fold out couch for my child on check in. - The food at the restaurant downstairs was incredible. It was nice to be able to look into the kitchen and see everything being prepared. I had amazing breakfasts and dinners there. Breakfast included meant a choice of a main and a side. - Parking outside was handy.

The room was spacious and comfortable, bathroom facilities lovely.
The selection and prices in the restaurant did not appeal to us, also there was no availability for snacks apart from room service and the expensive offering in the rooms. I went down for a coffee from the cafe and there were no cakes or snacks to purchase to have with the coffee. The staff member at our initial check in was not particularly welcoming or helpful. We tried to book the day spa in the weeks before our trip and could not get through by phone and finally received a response via email that it was booked out for the duration of our stay which was disappointing.

I don't know how the staff managed it but we arrived before our friends checked in and the staff upgraded us and they also upgraded our friends but we were surprised that we were in room next door. Loved Archie being the ambassador of Silo and the views from the rooms and Level 1 were amazing. The room was so spacious and beautifully styled. It was great having the restaurant downstairs so we didnt need to go out. I would want to stay again if I happen to return to Launceston. It made our trip that more special.
There wasn't much át all that I didn't like. I really cant think of anything.

Beautiful hotel with very comfortable room. The staff were exceptionally friendly and there's a hotel dog, which is a bonus! Easy walking distance to a number of nice restaurants and bars, if you don't want to eat in the hotel. Lovely bathroom and powerful shower.
Although the food was very good quality, it was expensive and, with the breakfast in particular, the choice was quite limited. It didn't have the traditional buffet style breakfast, which is refreshingly different, but in reality this meant the choices for breakfast were very restricted and quite expensive for what you get. You get one drink, one "main" and one side, anything beyond this you get charged extra, including a slice of toast.

We arrived at 2.45pm and were very happy we could still get lunch which we ate in the lounge watching the cricket. We had dinner in the restaurant two nights and the food was amazing both nights. Great selection of wines and a short walk over the walking bridge to other cafes etc. Found a bar with some live music. It was a perfect stay. The shower exceptional and room very clean. I also like the numbers to the rooms in the carpet design. What a great idea.
I found the bed too hard and ended up sleeping on top of the Duna cover to for extra padding but other than that the room was very nice

We stayed here for 4 nights with our toddler. It was amazing. The location is perfect for kids as riverbend park is right next door. We didn't ask for an extra bed for our son but they provided one for us anyway which we thought was amazing. The Room was gorgeous and very clean, loved the view. Food was amazing and the staff were so friendly. The best part was Archie the hotel dog. Made our holiday perfect.
Loved everything. Pillows were a little too thick but that's just personal preference.

Upgraded to Floor 4 King Room with view of River Tamar.
Disappointed with the cost of food for Dinner and the standard which I thought was well below par. Got a smaller plate with 3 scallops on it. Ordinary to say the least. My wife had a small platter with meatballs and cheap mozarella cheese, Ordinary-can do much much bettter myself. No herbs in dishes very much. Mains were better but the sides consisted of very crunchy potatoes, Cost of wine per glass very expensive. We had a much better meal at Pedro's in Ulverstone and in St Helens restaurant.
